any suggestions on which to choose? I have already booked my reservations for the DLH (3/29-4/6) and the price is $2530.00 (not including all those extras) but I can book the Sheraton Anaehim for $1613.50 (includes free breakfast and shuttle)....so my true debate is whether the DLH is worth the extra $1000.00? :confused3 My kids are 13,6 and 14 months, so that is what we have to work with....are all the other perks really worth it at the DLH (pool, monorail, early entrance, etc....):confused3 ...we have been to the Port Orleans in WDW, but have never stayed onsite/offsite in CA (last time we went was in 1995! any input and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!! thanks

With the Sheraton Anaheim, you will NEED to shuttle all the time, including if someone wants a nap or has an accident... Although I really like the looks of the Sheraton, it is not close to many restaurants besides their own, so the cost of dining could be more than if you snacked elsewhere. With the ages of you kids, I think I'd stay with the DLH (or even Paradise Pier if the $ were less). If you want to save $, there are other off-site hotels for less than your current options.

I would go with the Sheraton. It is not worth a $1000 to me to be within walking distance. Plus the cost of breakfast for 5 people every morning. You may not have to go back to the hotel for naps. Your 6 year old probably doesn't take naps anymore and when we went when our daughter was 1 she was perfectly happy to snooze in her stroller. We left the park around 8 to get her in bed and that worked out fine for us. The Sheraton is probably a nicer, more upscale hotel as well.

Do the prices you were quoted include tickets to Disneyland? If not, you may want to look at getawaytoday. I entered your dates and came up with $1456 for the Sheraton Anaheim which includes 3 day park hopper tickets for your family. The Disney hotels were all over $3000 including the tickets.

If it were my choice, I would choose the less expensive option. $1000 could buy a lot of souvenirs. The Sheraton Anaheim looks like a really nice hotel also.

For $1000 difference, I would totally stay at the Sheraton! Plus with free breakfast and shuttle.....sounds GREAT to me!:thumbsup2

The extra perks you mentioned when staying at a Disney hotel are NOT WORTH $1000 more. We stayed at Paradise Pier last October and it was AWESOME, but we stayed during the "Stay 3 nights and get the fourth night free" deal. We stayed for 5 nights total, and it ended up costing us $135 per night. Since most of the Good Neighbor hotels/motels were around $120 a night, we figured the extra $15 per night to stay at the PP was very worth it. But NO WAY would we pay $1000 more.

Save the $1000 and put it towards your NEXT DISNEY VACATION!:cool1:

I'm in the same boat as you! Decisions, Decisions!!! I have a reservation at Sheraton Anahem with the free breakfast deal. Although I don't have little ones, unless DLH comes up with an Annual Pass discount for the time I'm there, 3/16-3/23, I'll go with the Sheraton. I can eat at Downtown Disney or in the parks for dinner. When I stayed at DLH in August, I paid full price for the room--nice hotel, but not worth a $1,000 difference in price. That's $1,000 I can spend doing other things!
