My best friend and I are sneaking away for a 3 night stay and we want to try the Disneyland Hotel for the first time.

I tried to search for info on room and tower requests but all the DLH threads are dated and don't reflect current construction issues.

So, for 2 late 30's gals in the park without their spouses and kids, which tower is best? Standard room, so would it be best to just ask for a low floor to be easier to get to, or is it nice to be on a high floor even with a parking lot view?

All suggestions welcome! TIA! :cool1:

Hello,
I am a chronic Disneyland Hotel guest, so maybe I can help!:)

We stayed there in April. I would stay to request the Dreams Tower (I realize they are in the process of renaming the towers, but the cast member will know what you mean), because it has the easiest acess to downtown disney. I would also request a Downtown disney view. With a standard room you may not get it, but it never hurts to ask! The pool views are not so great at this point, as the Neverland pool is under major reconstruction. You may end up with that view with a standard room.

Don't ask for a low floor--because at the Disneyland Hotel the higher the better for views! They have fast elevators and even if you stay on a high floor, the rooms are easy to get to. The only exception would be for the Wonder Tower, which may be undergoing renovation in the lobby (it was when we were there, no idea if that is still true)--because they had entrances closed and we had to walk around to the back side of the hotel to get in and there was only one elevator running. Thankfully that is a very rare thing, but it still was very unappealing for a hotel guest!

Finally, don't be surprised if they don't honor your requests. I ask for the Dreams tower every time we go (about twice a year), and we only get it rarely.

I usually make my request at the time of booking, then call back about a week before our travel date to confirm our requests. I am always told that they will take the request, but it is not a sure thing. Contrary to popular belief, they no longer accept will accept a fax request of rooms.

Hope this helps,
Lisa
