DL tickets and reservations - April 15!

Then it sounds like we've all done what we can. If loading them on the website puts them on the app, there is no way to not have them on the app.

I can't even figure out how to delete one off the app, so I think I'm stuck either way.

Update: For those hoping to make reservations on Monday and have the tickets in your app, I would suggest getting in the app and using chat to unlink those tickets. Then you will be able to add them in your "group" for reservations.

Thanks. I've sent a message in the chat asking if I'll be able to book from the app. Without having any confirmation this actually a problem, I really don't want to start messing with it. Especially since somebody else just said they linked them in the website and then ended up in the app and disappeared from the website.

Hmm, why wouldn't Disney have these instructions knowing the only place where linked tickets are available is the app? This is confusing.
 
Here's what "delete ticket" looks like in the app for me. It only lets me delete the other members of my party, but not my own ticket. Probably because we all added our tickets in each other's apps, and each one of us is the "owner" of our ticket.

Here's what "delete ticket" looks like in the app for me. It only lets me delete the other members of my party, but not my own ticket. Probably because we all added our tickets in each other's apps, and each one of us is the "owner" of our ticket.
That makes sense, I purchased the tickets I have so technically I'm the owner of both lol. I'm starting to fall more in the camp that they are linked to my account and will be available to use during reservations.

Ok, that explains mine too. I'm the owner of my family's because I bought them all.

I wonder if that's the disconnect. If some people have their tickets in multiple accounts, it'll be a problem? I can't understand if you can buy tickets IN the app and they're still suggesting people do that on the 15th, how one won't also be able to book reservations from the app.
 
I bought all of the tickets for my family too. I can't remember how I indicated I'm the "owner" of my ticket, and not the others. I think we all added the tickets to all of our accounts last year, so that any one of us could create MaxPass or ROTR groups. I'm trying to get in touch with customer support to ask them what to do.

Agreed. I also think that people have linked other tickets to their account for simplicity but they did not purchase them themselves, which would make sense that you couldn't add them to your party because they are technically not associated with the account being used to make reservations. So making sure the ticket is only linked to one account can make it much easier. Phew, so glad this got figured out. Still waiting on an official response from the chat on the app! So will be back with confirmation soon!

Is there any information on where this person is getting this information? How would they even have discovered this is a problem when no one can book a reservation yet?

I’d be really wary of making any changes to your tickets in the app without confirmation from Disney that this is necessary. Even Disney customer services CMs have been known to give out wrong information...

I’m not even sure where they are getting this information, but they’re definitely blasting it out there on multiple Disney Facebook groups. It’s all a little frustrating and I’m not sure what to believe- so I just chatted with a CM through the app, and they reassured me that we don’t have to unlink tickets in the app and that they will show up on the website when we reserve on the 12th. They did mention that we will have to reserve through the website, not the app. So that’s where I stand for now - keeping tickets linked in app and hoping all goes well on the 12th!

Makes me wonder if they're just following the rumor that's out there.

I now have two messages in the app that have been both been read (2 hours ago), but neither responded to.

ETA: or could it be a problem with 3rd party tickets? Mine were bought directly from Disney, so I'm not sure I even linked them to start with. I think they just showed up in the app when I completed the purchase.

It truly doesn't make any sense that Disney wouldn't make this information public. Most people will have their tickets linked already. Many in the app because that's what we've been told to do in the past.

This seems like it's for people without linked tickets already. Regardless of whether you link on the website or app, once linked, your tickets will be associated with your account.

Ok just got off the phone with a really awesome knowledgeable CM. He said he already saw all 4 of our tickets linked together, and that we should have no problem making the reservation. Just in case, he made one of our accounts the “primary” owner for all 4 tickets, and now those tickets don’t have the delete button.
He said by 6:30/7am on Monday, we should be able to go to the website to view our tickets. If you don’t see the tickets by then, give Disney a call. That it’s a known problem now that the app and website aren’t linking correctly

He said to make the reservation through the website, not the app. Clear your cookies before, or use incognito mode. They probably won’t use the queue like they did for TOD, unless they really have to.

He talked a lot lol. If I think of anything else useful, I’ll post agsin

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing this helps so much!!!!!! So I guess there will be a function where the tickets will show up?! Awesome! I'm so nervous and excited all at once!!!!!!
