Hi all,

In 2 days I'll be at my favorite place in the universe!

We will have 3 days in the parks using So. Cal. 2-fers my sister bought us (I e-mailed Disney, they said no problem using them). That means we need to decide to go to DL on Thursday or on Friday. Our plan was to go Thursday but now I'm having second thoughts.

Thursday hours: 10a-8pm. = 10 hours
Friday hours: 9a-12pm. = 15 hours

We'll have hoppers on Sat. to catch up on fireworks and and shows we missed at either park.

My question for those who have been lately- with shortened hours on Thursday I can anticipate fewer crowds. With longer hours I will see more crowds and longer lines.... but 15 hours is tempting.

How can I talk the bf into going for the longer hours? Or maybe it isn't worth it since we'll hop on Saturday?

Thanks for the advice.

Just from our experience......I'd chose Thursday (since you have Saturday for the entertainment). You will get more done with fewer crowds on Thursday then you probably would with the longer hours on Friday. This way you'll also won't be too tired to tackle Saturday (which will also be busy!).
That would be what we'd do...... Hope you have a great trip!

Ditto Thursday. Esp since you are going on Sat. anyway. Parks are much more crowded on Fridays-it's when the locals go after work, school, or if they are off on Fridays.

ADDED-Tammylynn I just sent you an email with the PP guide. It's a rough draft but I think it covers it pretty well. Have a great time!-We're (DD9 and I ) going today.

I have to agree with this. Even though the hours may be shorter you will get more done with the smaller crowds.

Yeah thats the trade off

Thursday = Lower crowds

Friday = More Shows and longer park hours

Personally from my own personal taste I would say Friday. Go before the huge just off work rush hits and get your fast passes and have a great time, and take in the evening shows. Even Aladdin during the day if it happens to be playing.

If Fantasyland or Nemo is in your early morning plans, go for Friday. Because Thursday the MM people will already be filling the lines for Nemo and Fantasyland.

If it's not in your plans, then go for Thursday and get in the lines that the MM people won't be there for (since they'll all be stuck in the last line they got into).

Or just go on those rides much later in the day, when all the kiddies have gone off to bed.

I'd go Fri. ~ you won't have a MM for Thurs. + the crowds on Fri. shouldn't be too bad until late afternoon/early evening ~ you can collect FPs all day long and use them during the evening hours.

After the first few posts in the thread I thought, "Great! Thursday it is!" But the rest of you have great points too!

I didn't even think about Magic Mornings... Grr! Yet I''m reluctant to hit mega crowds Friday night.

I think we'll go with Thursday, as the first few posters said, with fewer crowds we can get more done. The Saturday hoppers will give us the chance to make-up anything we missed, including Nemo.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. You all had some great points that I didn't think of.
