DL is HOT HOT HOT!

We were there today (mon 4/20) and it was UGLY HOT!

The reading on my car isn't always the most accurate, but I actually believe the 100°F it showed when we left the Mickey & Friends garage at about 2:30 this afternoon.
:sunny:
That's probably correct or maybe even low. Our patio thermometer is showing 100° right now at about 4:30pm. But it's a dry heat. ;)

Eeek! I expect it to be that hot here in Texas in 2 weeks when we go but I'm hoping for low 80s in California!

I like the heat, but having never done DL in the heat, I'm hoping for just nice and sunny days. Low 30c here.

We were at DL last year in Sept. The temp was 80, but the humidity was high and felt like 108.I was miserable, I felt sick and fainty the whole time. I also have heart problems, so the heat kills me. We now, if we go in the future, we will go in January

They're predicting 94° tomorrow then mid-70's the rest of the week. Twenty degree drop in one day...

i hate az it just hit 97 today an im like melting i know Disney has a bit of cooler weather because the wind but I do sympathize with those of you there now.

I have a grandbaby that was sweltering.:scared1: I poured a water bottle on her to cool her off.

That reminded me of when DS was small enough to be worn in a back carry in the Ergo or Mei Tai...one of the beautiful things about it was that whne it was hot, if I passed a bottle of water back to him to drink, I was guaranteed a nice, cold and wet back and neck!

Yuck! I can't stand the hot weather. Anything above 75 is too warm for this Oregonian! (hard to believe I'm an Arizona native, lol)

I hear you. I grew up in San Jose (not known for being overly chilly other than in the mornings and even then it wasn't actually cold) but living in western WA as long as I have has really changed my perception!

Last year it did this too, though, around the same time if memory serves. Then just in time for Memorial Day weekend it started to cool down, and our b'day trip for DS was lovely.

Wow, here I am on this Disney board I just found today, and I've already found another babywearer :)

We're going to DL on Wednesday, but if the forecast changes so that it will still be close to 90, we'll wait til Wednesday. Ugh! I can't imagine being there in this heat. I'm glad it's going to cool off in the next two days!

What's the weather usually like in mid-June? That's when I'll be going and it'll be my first trip there so I'm curious. I'm from Palm Beach, Florida (but I'm currently a veterinary student at the Univeristy of Florida, so I'm in Gainesville right now). It gets DISGUSTINGLY HOT here! And I hate it with a passion! I pray for the winter to come every year! I hope it's not much worse when I go. I hear that it's a dry heat, and here it's the humidity that kills us, it's the worst! :sad2:

It was in the 90s today in Sonoma County, north of SF. I love it! Yes, I'm hot but I like it so much better than being cold and shiviering all winter. And hot weather reminds me of Disneyland! :lovestruc Now, I wouldn't want to run marathons in it, but being out in the shade is ok. I've been to DLR during a heatwave and some of the rides shut down because of it. According to the cast member it was to save electricity since air conditioners were going at full capacity.

Arrived yesterday. Yes it is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT! Today we ended our day around 1:30 because the heat wiped us out and now everyone by me is sound asleep.
I am hoping it cools down thsi week, still to be warm, but get rid of this hotness

Very hot and it is a heat wave. I am sweltering in my office and mom cannot handle heat. Definitely drink water slowly and through the day. My grandfather told my father how the glassblowers in New Jersey would get sick from guzzling water instead of small sips. Also read up on heat stroke as I once saw two ladies with heat stroke at New Orleans Square. One was dazed adn the other was down on the ground.

The nurse's station has a couple cots to lay down for a while. You can also get free water and ice at all counter service and table service restaurants. Try doing Honey I shrunk the Audience and Billy Hill and the Hillbillies for a quick cool down.

Yes, it's sweltering hot in Anaheim. And I have to give major kudos to all the CMs who are working in this heat!

I was there yesterday and was impressed by all the CMs outside, none of whom complained and were plenty ready with a smile and answer to your question. I especially was impressed by the performers in Celebrate! A Street Party. The costumed characters were onstage for about 50-55 minutes straight without a break. And the dancers, while performing slightly toned down choreography, were still full of energy at the third show stop. It was a really great show, despite the conditions. Bravo!

:thumbsup2

I am in Disneyland right now staying at the Grand Californian. It was very hot today but the crowds were very thin. Most I waited for any ride was maybe 25 min max.

I am not surprised... California had this rediculous heat wave last year too around this time.... something is in the air!

We were there during an unseasonable heat wave in 2006, and it was almost unbearable for us, but it was still fun of course! Kudos to the staff and others who do not give up in this heat! :goodvibes Currently, it's 46.4 degrees F here at 11 PM, and we still have a couple of small snow patches on our lawn. During the day, it's been around 50 degrees F and everyone here is finally glad to shed our winter coats, and are wearing T-shirts outside. No wonder we Northern Canadians don't take to the L.A. heat so well, LOL! :goodvibes

One more thing; when our family was at Universal Studios last year, we wondered why Disneyland doesn't have those wonderful cool down areas [besides the cool your jets stations in California Adventure Park], such as the big fans blowing a cool, icy breeze your way.

We also wonder they they can't have small slush/slurpee stations set up - DH thinks the slushes would melt too fast if they sold 7-ll slurpees, but why can't they sell Dixie cup sized slushes for $1 all over the parks? We'd buy several, daily, and could drink them up before our next ride. (DL? Are you listening?? :) )

This heat wave is gross. I hate it. The forecast for us in DL next week says 70's. No hotter than that, please mother nature!

I was there today for DBF b-day and it was crazy hot! Crowds were small which was good. The longest lines were the water rides of course. We waited about 30 minutes to get on GRR. :)

I don't think i would enjoy Disneyland if it was sweltering hot. I wonder what it is like when it's cold?
