DL is HOT HOT HOT!

Yep, it's very hot right now. It was close to (if not at) 100 near Disneyland today. The good part s that there are lots of places to stay cool at DL. There are lots of shady areas, as well as places to cool off for a while with A/C. Also, the heat breaks around 6:30pm / 7:00pm. Making it comfortable. That said, the car thermometer said it was still in the 80s when I was driving home from a friend's not too far from the Park tonight at about 9:30pm. I would have loved an evening swim tonight!

It's not unbearable if you come prepared and take it slow, but it's hot out there. A week ago we had the heater on - the last few days, it's been the A/C in our house all day long.

The good news it, as stated above, iit's supposed to drop the rest of the week. Just our weird Spring So Cal weather that has become common the last few years.

I can't handle it when it is that hot at Disneyland. The lines become unbearable to wait in, the parades too hot to enjoy, and you have to be very careful about heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If it it almost 100 in Disneyland (or higher) it always feels about 10 degrees hotter because of all of the concrete and crowds.
OMG :scared: I asked a few days ago about weather in June and everyone said it wasn't that bad. Now I'm starting to get :scared1:! I can't handle extreme heat either, and that's why we always go in December or January. But this year I bought an AP, so this trip is so I can feel validated about buying it like I'm getting my money's worth. :rolleyes1 I take a lot of asthma and allergy meds and some of my asthma meds say I should stay out of the sun. Would I look like a freak if I walked around with an umbrella in the park to block out some of the sun?

I'm putting in an order for mid-80's, low humidity for the week of June 1st!
Me too! Here's another request for good weather in June. Not too hot, and not too cold...but just right...

I don't think i would enjoy Disneyland if it was sweltering hot. I wonder what it is like when it's cold?
It's great! Sometimes it's cold and rainy, and sometimes it's just beautiful with little to no rain, cool temps and low humidity. I always say it's easier to warm up than it is to cool down when it's miserably ht out...

Do any of you regulars know where they sell those mister/fan things that blow water out of a spray bottle? Anywhere near Disney Anaheim area? I'll have a car so anywhere in not too far driving distance is fine...
TIA!

I've been when it was cold and I was too cold. I don't want it really really hot but I didn't like cold. I was getting numb.

I think if you had an umbrella for the sun, the only looks you would get is from people who wished they had one! :thumbsup2

Several years ago I got a little battery fan from DLR and I bring it with me all over. It doesn't have a water bottle so it makes it smaller and you can hang it around your neck or put in a purse. Don't know if they still sel them, I love mine.

That's pretty hot to be walking around DL! Yesterday it was 96 here, but we are right next to Death Valley, so starting around this time(I hear atleast) it gets that hot. It's only our first year here though.

Looks like I'll be investing in the little spray fans for everyone! Anyone know where I can find good ones that won't break within 15 minutes???

ABC local weather report just said 91 degrees today in Anaheim. Temps are expected to drop about 15 degrees between today and Sunday. :upsidedow

Woo, you guys are as hot down there as we are up here!! It is HOOOOTTTT outside!!!! Almost up to 100 yesterday AND today!!! It was 72 when I got to work this morning, that's a hot day!! lol I hope it does cool off some for the weekend, it's supposed to up here. :) We will be ready tho, with our sunscreen, water bottles and tank tops on! And maybe I'll get us some little hand held fans, those things can be lifesavers! :)

We like to have our Mickey ice cream bars when it's really hot, we like to go to the shows too. One hint for water, you don't need to drink it super slowly but don't let your throat get dry, if it is you've waited too long to drink water, avoid sodas as they can do more harm than good and try to drink warmer water. Not hot water but not super ice cold either. Your body absorbs the water faster if it's not ice cold. :) I dehydrate very easily, when at DL on a hot hot day I can easily drink 10-20 standard size water bottles by myself....lol Yes, it's a lot but if my body needs it I'm going to give it to it. :)
