DBF and I are planning a trip out to LA for a week in January. We are big Disney buffs and of course will go to DL, but we don't want to spend too much time there since there so many other things we want to do. Do you think it could be done in two days, one night if we stay onsite? We want the whole DL experience and want to fit in as much as we possibly can.

WOW,a week in January. Now that's planning ahead. 2days @ DL would be 'good',2days to do 'all' of DLR,doubt it. On site, off site your call.:surfweb:

We were just there last week for 2 1/2 days, and I saw almost everything I wanted to see. If you don't have small kids in tow and want to do open to close, I'm sure you could do everything or almost everything you want to do, as long as that doesn't mean everything in both parks!

Agree with the others. As far as on-site vs. off-site, DL isn't like WDW. Staying on-site really isn't going to be any time saver vs. staying off-site. There are some off-site hotels (Harbor Blvd) which are actually a shorter walk to the DL/DCA gates than DLH or PPH.

It's possible if you utilize fastpasses and go at a quicker pace. We like to do 4-5 days each time but we also have small kids that slow us down. 2 days for 2 adults would be plenty if you get there before opening and dont leave til closing I think.

I know it may be a little late for the suggestion, but if you are doing it in a weekday in January (usually a Weds or Thursday are great) then you're going to have few lines. Kind of like DLP the week before Bastile day.

If you don't have small kids, I do think you can do it all. Just go from opening until close. You just may not get to linger a lot over meals.

You will definitely have shorter lines, however, you will also need to consider that there are likely to be much shorter hours (often not even until dark) and will not be likely to see any fireworks unless you're there on a weekend night.

Overall, I think 2 days is fine if you don't want to be leisurely, and you mainly want to hit the major stuff. 3 days is what you'd need to see everything and be more leisurely.
