We will be going to Disneyland the third week of December, (in parks 15th-17th) and wondered how the crowds will be. We are purposely leaving before the weekend, though Christmas does come the next week. Will it be terribly crowded, or will we leave just in time? Also, is it too cold to swim in Dec?

One more thing-we are trying to decide between two hotels-the Holiday Inn Express on Katella, or HoJo?

Thanks!

I have gone a couple times the week before Christmas and the crowds are not unsightly. It's really beautiful seeing DL with all of its Christmas decorations up!

Yes it is usually too cold to swim in December, for me anyways!

HoJo's all the way. It's close enough to walk (I don't care too) and the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.

The crowds during the week shouldn't be too bad. The weekend is another matter, so avoid that if you can.

We were there the exact same time last December and the crowds were steady later in the day but definitely manageable. It was really nice being able to see all the decorations. Now, just before, during, and immediately after the fireworks, it was a totally different experience around the hub and on Main Street. Literally hordes of humanity clammering to catch the show! It was much crazier than what we've seen during the summer months with regards to the fireworks. It's well worth it, though.

You will have a great time during that week!
