Does anyone know what the dues are for the club? Are there ever any kind of tours or public showings of the club? Has anyone on the board ever been inside or is anyone a member???

Here's a website that's all about Club 33: http://www.disneylandclub33.com/index.htm

Membership is VERY expensive. Here is some info about the cost of membership from the hidden mickey's website:

Corporate Membership

This membership is designed for organizations to make Club 33 available to a number of their executives, and has a membership fee of $20,000. This entitles the corporate member to designate up to nine associate members. Dues for Charter members are $5,000 per member and $3,750 for each Associate member per year. All memberships are transferable to other executives in the corporation.

Members no longer in the employ of the corporate member's company must surrender the membership cards to Club 33. The corporate members may then designate another member of his company.

Limited Corporate Membership

This membership is designed for organizations wishing to make Club 33 available to one of their executives, and has a membership fee of $10,000. This entitles the corporation to transfer the membership to another employee whenever necessary. For individual members, credit is extended based upon the membership fee initially paid if a transfer of membership is desired. Dues are $3,750 per year.

Individual Membership1

This particular membership is for individuals and is available at Gold or Silver levels. $7,500 for a Gold membership fee and $2,500 annual dues. $4,500 for a Silver membership fee and $1,500 annual dues. These memberships are nontransferable.

Members will be billed monthly for all charges.

I've had dinner there. Someone I did business with set it up so I had a reservation. I recall something went wrong the first time though so we had to return. The next time they also had comp passes for entry. The club is fun mostly for the artwork on the wall, a phone book for taking photos. The food was very good, best inside the park. They gave you special matches and you could buy a few things like two kinds of pins that referred to club33. I took a small party of friends (like 8) some were huge Disney fans. One woman had worked for Disney in the corporate area for many years and had never been inside. I remember it feeling very intimate, in our room there were not that many tables. If you do business in the area this would be a wonderful thing to have.

I went for an awards dinner for my father, we had the entire club to ourselves (a group of about 40) and it was a dream come true! I remember my dad calling me and asking if I would come to see him get this Chemical Association award, and I wasn't that interested...then he said the awards ceremony would be at the Disneyland Hotel...I started to get a little interested, and then...he said there would be a special dinner for him the night before at Club 33...I said "When do you want me there!!!!" It was great to explore the phone booth, the fantastic elevator, the vultures, and to stand on the balcony overlooking New Orlean's Square. Donald Duck made a special visit, and we got lots of pictures. The food was fantastic, and I'm not much of a drinker but I had to get a drink since it is the only place in Disneyland Park that offers alchohol. If you ever find an opportunity to go, TAKE IT!

I can definately tell you that annual dues for gold are now $3,025.00. I can only recall 1 year within the last 5 years that the annual dues have not increased. Also, members have the option of either having the bill presented to the table or charged to their credit card on file at the end of the meal.

How does one become a member? Thanks.
Anyone can become a member. However, the last time I checked, the waiting list for new members was about 4 years; I was on the list for 3 years. If your seriously considering a membership, you'll need to send them a written request to the following address: Club 33, Disneyland, 1313 Harbor Blvd., P.O. Box 3232, Anaheim, CA 92803.

I didn't realize waitlist was that long! But my husband and I are willing to wait to be a part of that magic.

Are the dues paid in full in one shot, or monthly payments? I guess it doesn't hurt to start saving for it now.

I got engaged there . . . so it holds special memories for me. Sadly, they didn't give two hoots about us getting engaged. We didn't even get a congratulations from a single CM there (but the CM on the tram that night had the whole tram sing "here comes the bride" to us :rotfl: ).

We went thru friends of ours - we have done Sunday brunch there a few times. Fine china, crystal, 34 pieces of silver at the placesetting (not really, but it was the full deal), linens, etc etc etc. They share a kitchen with Blue Bayou, but they certainly don't share the menu. Another friend of ours used to be a waitress there (and to this day, she can't make Caesar Salad Dressing in more than single serving amounts, and she has to stand up to to it LOL).

The "lift" is beautiful - etched glass & shiny brass fixtures. The burgundy velveteen staircase is just lovely. Our first time there was before the era of individual-size water bottles, so our water was served by what we called The Water Trio - one CM with silver bucket of ice with silver tongs, the next CM poured the cold water, the last CM plunked the slice of lemon in the glass. They followed each other around the entire restaurant the whole time we were there. It was just fun to watch. For Disneyana, there's no better place in the park. The artwork is fabulous, the harpsichord is so cool (I love them anyway), and just the ambience is terrific.

What was also really nice, our friend was pregnant when we went, and our server offered us the opportunity to sit on their balcony for Fantasmic later that night. VERY cool.

I'd go again in a heartbeat. The brunch was superb. Never had better - and that was nearly 15 years ago.

Sorry, gentemen, this may be TMI, but the ladies will understand!!
Editing to add - I hope they haven't changed the ladies room!! They were huge chairs. Like a real chair. Lift up the padded seat and there "it" was. And each stall had it's own dispenser machine in it! This was sheer genious!!

bunninose, you'll be glad to know the 'thrones' are still the same.....at least they were a year or so ago! I was there for a charity breakfast. Eating there (BEING there) is an opportunity one should never pass up! ::yes::

I just went for the first time last Sunday. The service was great and the food was awesome. It was an expensive night ($200 dinner for 2 adults and 1 child - no alcohol) not to mention what I spent on souveniers. ouch! It was a dream come true though and we got to see and hear Fantasmic twice. It was a long dinner 3.5 hours and we loved every minute of it. For a true Disney buff like me it was a dream to actually be able to go there.

I have to say the level of service there made me realize how we just don't get that anywhere any more. Friendly but not too outgoing and willing to answer and assist in the most helpful way. We all loved it!!

I also loved the old feel to it. I really felt as though you were stepping back in time to when Walt was there. It also smelled like fresh flowers and that for some reason was so wonderful.

The ladies loo was very interesting and the toilets look like wicker chairs. The seats are very wide and I must say a different feel at first. Hard to explain but it was just like sitting on a chair and not a potty. Took a second to get used to.

One thing I didn't realize is that you are facing the river from the balcony even though you enter right next to Blue Bayou. I was a little turned around but we explored and I got my bearings. The trees do block the view to fantasmic but it was still better that any view from the ground. I felt special and loved every minute of it.

If you ever have a chance to go, don't pass it up. Save your pennies and go.

I do have to say, the prices of items there (shirts, etc.) are pricey. I got a coffee travel mug, Pen, Shirt and Tote bag for $150. We would have purchased more but they were out of all extra larges in every shirt. I really wanted a key chain but they were all gone.

Al's Jasmine,

I'm not exactly sure how long the waiting list is right now; the last time I inquired was about 1 1/2 years ago. At that partiuclar time they were trying to concentrate on corporate membership.

The initiation fee and annual dues (dues may be prorated depending upon what time of the year they offer you a membership) are due with the application. After that, a bill for annual dues are normally sent out in early December for the following year and are due (in one lump sum) in mid January. Please keep in mind that you still have to pay for your meals when you dine at the Club; currently there is a $48 or $49 minimum per person for food and beverages. Of course, park admission is included (park hopper passes) whenever you dine at the Club.

So, if your willing to wait, then submit a written request for membership to the address listed below.

Club 33
Disneyland
1313 Harbor Blvd.
PO Box 3232
Anaheim, CA 92803

Be prepared for a long wait and good luck. :earsgirl:

I remember having a converstation with my sister, who is a member, that the waiting list was three years. She told me it's five years now. That conversation was within the last 12 months.

Thanks for all of the information! I didn't realize the waiting list was soooo long. But, it sounds like it's worth the wait. Unfortunately, I live in MN and would only be able to go to the club when I made the trek out to California.
Well, thanks again for all the info!

I went on DL's birthday in 2003. It was when they were still doing the daily lunch buffet and it was utterly fantastic!! The pasta bar was to die for, drool.

It was such a wonderful experience, the lift, the loo, exploring the rooms. We all have just a spectacular time. I'm hoping to go back for my son's birthday this year, hoping hoping hoping! :earsboy:

If you ever get the chance defintely go!!
