DL and discounts

My family is about to embark on a 20 day trip out West. We'll be at DL for four days and the Hotel Del Coronado for three days (all on points). I'd like to compile a list of possible discounts for the trip and any help from you guys would be great. We are DVC members, have a Disney Visa, and are AAA members - what discounts are out there for us?

Sounds like a fun trip! I grew up in So. Calif. and lived near many of the places you will be visiting.

My best suggestion for DL: use your Disney Visa! When I visited last November I used mine and kept getting discounts I wasn't expecting. It was great. They took off for food (we ate at a sit-down in Cal. Adventure, can't remember the name) and also for merchandise purchased at MK. There was also a promo for free character photo and stroller rental--not sure if they are still doing that though.

The DVC member website has a list of discounts for Disneyland Resort. My advice is to print out the pages and take them with you, because not everyone at the stores is aware of the discount. They didn't know about the discount at Haagen-Dazs or Wetzel's Pretzels, but when I showed them the print out they happily gave it to me.

If you're aware of what the DVC discounts are, you can ask if you get a Visa discount, then use whichever works best for you.

Thanks for the help. I did look on the
DVC site and saw several discounts with the DVC card - I wonder if they'll give a "quick-perks" at check-in? That would be great, instead of having to keep up with the pages from the website. Anyone know if they do that at DL when staying on points?
