I just have to say that. When we were assigned DJ Logan, we couldn't find any reviews on him either. Of course, I decided not to post a review, otherwise you would have found out a little about him.
It took us quite a while to actually get to speak with him - it was 2 weeks before our wedding before we actually talked, which kind of made me nervous.
However, 15 minutes into the phone call, I couldn't imagine being assigned to anyone else. He and his wife are either 40 or in their early 40's, so they were very familiar with our type of music that we wanted.
I did send him a disk of music that I was sure that he wouldn't have. However, would you believe he even had one of the most obscure songs on the list? I was amazed - after all, how many people KNOW who Bobby Vinton is, let alone have the 1 polish song that I wanted, right?
He got the disk either the day or 2 before we got there, and he confirmed that it was playable through whatever system he uses, so I did not need to bring my extra disk with me to the wedding.
The best part of it was that I was able to call him just HOURS (I mean 2 hours) before the wedding to tell him I forgot one song that I ABSOLUTELY had to have for my husband. He didn't think he had it in his collection, but was able to find it in iTunes. He assured me that he would work that in, and he did. It was AWESOME - made my huband cry (for about the fiftieth time that day){bonus for me!!!}
DJ Logan has such an extensive list of music on his site, and we decided against dictating all of our songs. We just gave him general instructions - Sinatra-type during coctails, my special cd and other low music during dinner, club-type mixes during dancing.
He was even so great as to cut the songs short when needed. I had 2 sets of parents at our wedding, and I was able to give him a hand gesture once one father seemed to get tired from dancing. No one even noticed except him.
He said that he doesn't do some of the more "charade" type things, like props and such unless you want them. We did not, so we were ok with that.
Hope this helps alleviate some of your stress. I think you'll be very happy.
Oh, and they came HIGHLY recommended from David and Vicki Arndt, our photographers. They book him for ALL of their personal events. We loved them, and so it was just natural that we would love DJ Logan.
