# DIY Dining Like Disney June Exercise Challenge

Welcome to the June 2020 exercise thread! Since the parks have been closed, these past few months, we've been denied access to all those yummy Disney treats. Luckily, though, Disney and others have released a lot of recipes and tips to help you recreate those Disney food experiences at home. So this month, we'll check out DIY Disney foods.

If you’re returning, we’re excited to have you back! If you’re new, welcome to the team! Here’s how it works:

Each person chooses a time goal and posts minutes towards that goal as they exercise. You can post daily or just catch up when you can. You decide what movement counts towards your goal - which can be a nice round total for the month, a specific number that means something to you, or a calculation based on a target number of minutes per day.

Since June has 30 days, here are some common conversions:

15 minutes/day = 450
20 minutes/day = 600
30 minutes/day = 900
45 minutes/day = 1350
1 hour/day = 1800

One of the special motivations of our Disney challenge is color changing! Page one will be updated with individual and team color changes as we make more and more progress.

10% - Broiled, Browned, and Buttery Blue
25% - Organic, Oenophile Orange
50% - Pan-Fried, Palatable Purple
75% - Peppery, Pickled Pink
90% - Refreshing, Redolent, and Rich Red

100% - Garnished, Gourmet Green

We’re officially starting this challenge on June 1, but if you don’t find the thread until later in the month, you’re still welcome to join!! Just post your goal and I’ll add you to the list. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and to check out old threads to see what’s been going on.

And to kick us off, here's the post that gave me the idea for this thread --

Back at the beginning of April, Disney Parks Blog posted the recipe for Disney Parks Churro Bites. I did have to laugh when they felt it necessary to specify that they had cut the recipe down from their usual commercial kitchen quantities. I don't think I need that many churros!

I'm going to shoot for 800 this month. I'm taking a short mini-vacation later this month and I'm not sure I'll want to be counting minutes while I'm gone, so I'm lowering my goal slighting from what it was in May. Great theme! I love trying new recipes, especially desserts!

I'm aiming for 600 minutes this month. I don't know if I'll be making the yummy recipes. My daughter realized she feels better when she goes gluten free so I think I'm going mostly gluten free to support her.

I am in for this month. I am going to add another 15 minutes a day average to my time so going to go with 1800 minutes for this month. This will be some work for me but I want to push myself some.
