I am planning on taking my entire family to The World in January. I will be inviting both of my parents, who now have significant others. They are amicable and we all do Christmas morning together, but it's not like we normally all hang out at the same time. They have both always wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom. Would it be "enough personal space" to have one couple at Jambo and one at Kidani? I am going for the feeling of not having to run into one another unless they plan it kind of vibe.

TIA!!

I would say for sure that should work! The two sections are very seperate. The only time they likely might see each other would be a chance meeting on the bus. But, it is also close enough that if you decided to do a 'whole family' thing one couple could walk to the other part of the resort to meet up.

That's awesome!! Thanks so much!

We will be staying at OKW, so we will be meeting up at the parks. We will do dinner together every night, although I am thinking about having one night when I make ressies at different restaurants so that the couples can have a night to themselves.

Any other suggestions from anyone?

For AKV I'd get them all at Kidani and request they be on separate sides. If they you thought they'd be at each other, I'd say one Jambo and one Kidani. Even then you have the issue of having one close and the other further and then how that might be received. I'd make the appropriate request with MS but remember to keep requests simple, no more than about 2 per reservation including this issue.

Thanks for the info! My mom's significant other has some health issues and is not as mobile, so I was thinking Jambo for them with a request to be close to the lobby. My dad and his SO are in really good shape, so I was gonna put them in Kidani. I really want to do CL studios for both couples, but I have read that CL doesn't guarantee a savannah view and that you cannot request that. Is that true? They both have always wanted to sit on the balcony and watch the savannahs, so that may be a CL deal breaker.

We are staying 10 nights and breaking up the trip in halves. We will be at OKW the entire time. The first 5 nights we will have DH's family with us, the last 5 mine. His family is much larger and everyone is still married, so we will do OKW 2 bdrms for them. They are a much more extended family and need more room, as DH has brothers, sister, nieces, nephews. I am an only child with divorced parents, so my needs for them are a little different.

You can request SV with CL but the views are pretty crummy even then. If they have mobility issues and will use the CS restaurant without you, Jambe may be best, otherwise I still think Kidani is the better choice.

First of all, CL is a seperate booking catagory...not a request. Secondly, if you are trying to keep the two couples from running into each other, this is NOT the place to be! The CL rooms (5 two bedroom lock offs) are all very close to each other and divided between two sides of the same general area. The Concierge lounge is in the middle, and they would constantly run into each other there. I would say you should book one in Jambo SV and one in Kidani SV and request that the mobility impared one be close to the lobby for medical reasons.
