Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

i was done. I could feel myself panicking as we got into the fp line, and by the time we reached the doors of the briefing room, i was clutching charles’ arm and saying, “i can’t do it. I will meet you outside.”

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Yes I am in a very generous mood this morning!! :rotfl2:

after the kids and charles met back up with me, we decided to forego soarin’ for the time being -- i didn’t want to be late meeting up with anita, marc, and baylor. Charles decided to head back to akl (anyone surprised) -- he is really shy around new people, so i think he became a dis meet chicken.

Whew, glad I was in that generous mood :lmao:.........."we" are EVEN!!! and why yes, yes indeed I am surprised......I am guessing he still wasn't feeling well and didn't want to drag everybody else down?? ;) Who knows it could have been Test Track that could have done him in....of course, you wouldn't be able to say for sure, since you decided to NOT ride it with him??? :rolleyes1

I will say that Dis-Meets are somewhat "strange", when you really think about it.........I feel very lucky that our first Dis-meet was with BAYLOR, Anita and Marc!!! I know Tracy thought I was nuts wanting to met up with people that we didn't know on our first night at Disney World on our first trip to Disney!! We were very lucky indeed to have been blessed with meeting up with the group we did and I would do it again in a heart beat..........Tracy would too "now"!!

i told her, “look, you have a reputation on the dis boards for being bright and sparkly. I need you to be bright and sparkly.” ;) luckily, her stomach ache seemed to disappear as we walked through mexico and norway.

How is it that with Chelsea she just gets a little nudging to be bright and sparkly and poor Connor gets dragged down to the lake to be "cheered" up?? :confused3 NEVERMIND don't answer that!! :rotfl:

Soon we arrived in italy and spotted anita, marc, and baylor. Let me just say that they are as funny and nice in real life as they are on the dis boards. We had such a great time with them! Anita had brought a lot of goodies for the kids to play with while we waited for illuminations to start. I especially loved my pink light-up ring. We took some pictures to commemorate the event.

Wow, did you get to spend time with Marc as well?? As soon as Anita found us a good spot for the parade, when we had our DisMeet, she sent Shocker off for Fast Passes first, then I think she sent him off for a drink or ice cream?? After the parade was over we all walked down Main Street toward the Castle for Wishes. Luckily, Shocker was able to hang around some during Wishes and we got to visit a bit!! :rotfl2: They really are as fun in person as they are on the boards!! :thumbsup2

Connor and baylor hit it off like they had been friends forever, and there was an awful lot of silliness going on between the two of them. Of course this was after connor informed them all that i was a disney freak and then was stunned when anita and marc spoke the same dis language as his own mother.
I am glad to finally see my new little buddy getting to have some fun at Disney!! :rotfl2: I bet Connor and Baylor did hit it off great and were a lot of fun to watch!!

So you and charles are both chickens....just different breeds.

Dis meets are fun, but also terrify me a little. I think it must be alot like online dating.

As you can tell, we just got back, I see Shocker has been up to his usual shenanigans.....

How can there be "usual shenanigans?"

Love a good DIS meet! How fun!

It was a lot of fun!

You crack me up with your comment to Chelsea! Sparkly, you make her sound like a Cullen Vampire or something! LOL!

Chelsea would love the comparison -- she is all about the Cullens these days!

Poor Charles, back to the Lodge. I can kind of relate though, I get nervous meeting new folk too and I am sure in that situation my DH would have left too. He has no interest in meeting my "imaginary internet friends".

Charles seemed okay with it -- I think he chickened out at the last minute.

No TT or RNR for you huh? Face your fears CP, just do it! RNR is really so much fun!

Test Track has never bothered me before so I don't know why I froze that night. :confused3

Great ending to a full day, and fun pictures in China. I also enjoyed the pictures of the girls and the boys. It was nice that the Dis meet took Connor's mind off of KP.

Oh, yes, there wasn't a peep about KP after Connor met Baylor.

Great update!! Glad you were able to meetup with some DISers! How fun! And you know what?! I'm a Disney Freak and proud of it!!

Me too! :thumbsup2

Disney Freaks Unite!

What? I'm sorry Test Track didn't work out for you this time. Funny what our minds can do sometimes. I loved your DISmeat with the other freaks!:rotfl: I'm glad you had such a good time with Wig'd and family!

That should be our motto! LOL! We had a great time with Wigd and family!

51901s_wdw_pic_048.jpg

Great minds think alike.....

Too funny!

DIS meets...:cloud9:

I am ready for more DIS meets!

Charles....I know how he feels. I originally felt nervous about complete strangers. I had conversed with someone on another WDW fansite and we had arranged a meeting at ESPN and I never found them. Of course, they could've seen me and ducked out....:rolleyes1 Since then, I was very apprehensive...but I had a great experience on the DCL in 05 and again at WDW in 08....I'm so glad your meet went well....:thumbsup2

It was a lot of fun!

Sounds like such a fun evening! I'm glad you just took it all in and didn't try to get pictures. I never get good Illuminations pictures anyway. :sad2:

I have seen some great Illuminations photos, but I have yet to master the nighttime setting on my camera.

I am :rotfl2: that the sign Chelsea was feeling better was she wanted her photo taken getting kissed by a goat! :rotfl2:

That's my girl ;)!

Love that you and Chelsea matched in your pink! And Connor and Baylor in their orange too!

And we didn't even plan it that way!

Don't feel badly about Test Track. Maybe I'm nuts (maybe???) but I actually don't think it's that great a ride. :confused3

I normally love it -- especially the part with all the switchbacks -- I don't know what happened that night!

The photos of your kids are great. Love the hat photos.

Thank you! They were cracking me up!

You're not a ride chicken. You just didn't feel like it this time :rolleyes1

I like the sound of that so much better!

A DISmeet and Illuminations -what a great evening!!!

Did your kids enjoy Illuminations? I'm wondering if we should take my nephew to see in next month. He loves Wishes.

The kids did enjoy Illuminations, but then we love fireworks of all kinds at our house.

Comments from:
June 7, Day Two, Part One: There's Donald, but Where are my Children?

I'm glad that you guys got breakfast before anything bad happened with Charles. My mom is a diabetic and although she is only taking medication for it- if she doesn't eat every few hours- her sugar drops and she does not feel good. She always says she feels light headed and weak- like she is going to faint. I'm glad you guys had such a nice waiter to help out! :thumbsup2

That is exactly how Charles describes it and I will never forget the one time at HHI several years ago when he actually did faint.

I also love AK in the morning when there's noone there and its peaceful. I don't know what the difference is between the other parks because they are all amazing in the morning- but my guess is because of all the nature- real or not that is created and the ease of all of that. ;)

I agree 100%!

I feel your pain when it comes to being nervous while at the character breakfast. That is one of my complaints about them.. this last time we went was my first character breakfast and of course I wanted pics with all of them as the memory. I also wanted DH to have pics with them to. I know he wouldn't care whether he did or not- he was more worried about the food. But the character breakfast was a surprise and I wanted him to have pics. Not only that, if he wasn't around- then I had no one to take a picture for me.. :scared1: and I live with character pics. I believe it was Pooh who I missed a pic with because DH was getting food. But I did get eeyore and tigger. :goodvibes

Don't you hate that when you miss a character photo!?

The one I guess for the "which one did they have full mouths" was the one with daisy- just because they both had their mouths in closed smiles.. and the rest they were open.. besides connor in the mickey pic- he looks like he could have food- maybe it was potatos.. laughing:

Ha ha! Yes, with Daisy, they both had their mouths full and with Mickey, Connor had his mouth stuffed full of potatoes.

I have to say- if this was a hotel- I would at least have attempt to stay there. hehe I love everything that goes into the whole theming of the hotel story.

Me too!

I also liked viewing the bats. I don't remember seeing them last time we went and this time we got lots of great pics.. which I will share when I get there in my TR. :)

I can't wait to see them!

I also love the theming of AK.. I love all the different countries- the buildings, the signs.. its all the little things. I told DH that I think I love the theming of these countries in AK just as much as Epcot- World Showcase theming.. it definetly makes me want to go to that country- when really I didn't want to before. I truly feel like I get a taste of how it looks. I love it! This is also a reason why this is DH's fav. park.

You are so right -- it makes me want to visit Asia and Africa everytime I visit AK!

June 7, Day Two, Part Three: Departing from Harambe!

I'm surprised about the frozen Lemonade. Although, I've never had one at WDW, I have had one else where and it was really good. I remember when we were at WDW every time we seen one I thought- "those looks so yummy" especially when it was hot.. not to mention I love lemonade anyways.

We do, too, but the aftertaste was so weird!

I am sooo glad that you enjoyed The Festival of the Lion King... and I can't believe that was your first time. I personally love the girls that dances and glides around in the air- but its all very good to me. :goodvibes

That was another breathtaking part!

and lastly, I'm glad the Charles feels better- afterall who wants to be sick on vacation!

I was so glad he felt better later on!

I love the funny hat pictures your kids take!!! And the kissing goat...very nice...sort of reminded me of a Sound of Music moment LOL!!!!!!

I have that song in my head now! LOL!

What a great DIS meet...like meeting old friends and just enjoying Illuminations and great company!!!! YAY!!!

It was so much fun!

LIke the matching outfit theme going on there a bit LOL...Connor and Baylor wearing similar colored shirts and You and Chelsea...wearing pink...oh so cute!!!

Completely coincidental, too! I remember Marc saying, "I forgot to wear my orange shirt!" LOL!

I was thinking the same thing, that goat looks just like the goats in The Sound of Music!! I love that movie:love:, can't wait til DD is old enough to sit through it.

I grew up watching that movie because my mom is a huge Julie Andrews fan!

I can't imagine chickening out on Test Track, it is so tame. I am even going to try to get my mom on it next trip and she won't ride anything remotely scary anymore. I am a thrill ride junkie though, so I can't really relate. However, I do have an intense fear of heights, full blown panic attack at the top of the "Eiffel Tower" in Vegas. :scared1:

The saddest thing is that I have ridden Test Track for years!

Do you ride Soarin'?

Cute pictures of the kids and the dis meet. :goodvibes I would love to see Illuminations, not sure if I'll be able to get everyone to stay out for it next trip though.

It worked out so well being in Epcot for dinner, doing a couple of rides, and then it was time for Illuminations.

Yes! Chelsea could be the pretty maid in The Lonely Goatherd in the Sound of Music!:rotfl:

And she already knows all the words to the song!

Great pictures of your family and Wigd's family.:thumbsup2 What fun to get to meet.:goodvibes

Thank you -- we had a blast with them!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of the Sound of Music when they saw the picture of Chelsea and the goat. I think I'm going to have that yodeling song stuck in my head all day today. :lmao:

I bet we were all humming it under our breaths!

It looks like it was a nice wrap up to your day. Glad your Dis meet went so well!

It was a very lovely end to our third day!

Sorry to hear that you didn't make it on Test Track this time , I'm not a thrill rider either especially if it's one the ones with the moving screen in front of you and you are stationary ! LOL I suffer from pretty bad motion sickness , so I usually make DH take the kiddies on the thrill rides . LOL However my kids are still young yet and haven't requested to ride thrill rides yet either . Great pictures of the kiddies in China , I love the one of Chelsea kissing the goat soo cute .:cutie: Looks like your dis meet went really well and that you made some great WDW friends . :thumbsup2

The ones with the moving screen and rides like Star Tours don't bother me, but roller coasters scare me to death -- every now and then I manage to get up the nerve to ride them though -- the only ones I have never done are RnRC and Mission:Space. We had a lot of fun at our DIS meet!

I feel a need now to buy that Sound of Music goat!
I can just see Liam and Danica playing with it in a few years!

I love how you told Chelsea that she has a rep on the DIS boards :rotfl2: At least it's a good one :thumbsup2

LOL! I know, right? ;)

Ummmmm......how is Charles going to handle all the DISmeets in October? Beer? Wine? Slushies?

All of the above! Charles is quite the social person once he has a couple of drinks in him. :thumbsup2

Nice Epcot evening update. That puppet vendor made a fortune off of us at the DisMeet I went to in February. All 32 of us met up outside of that vendor and by the end, every child in the group ended up with one of those puppets. (which meant during Illuminations the adults spent the show untangling puppets ;))

Wow! You must have cleared out that vendor! How much do they run -- I didn't even look at the prices...

I had a bit of catching up to do! Seems like I'm always catching up these days.

Now I understand your feelings about KP. :rolleyes1 I can only imagine how annoying it would be to hear that ring tone over and over and over again. :rotfl:

That ringtone is quite annoying. Be glad you missed experiencing it.

Sounds like you got to do a lot of firsts on this trip. :thumbsup2

We did -- and we aren't even halfway through our trip -- we crossed several more off our list as the week progressed.

You know I thought RnRC was CRAZY, but Test Track really isn't bad at all. I love it. I don't think it's scary in the least.

Yay for the DIS meet! :cool1:

Test Track isn't the least bit scary -- I don't know what happened that night with my nerves.

The DIS meet was awesome!

Your pics of Chelsea and Connor with the marionettes got the Pinocchio song in my head! "I've got no strings..." :)

I always think of that song when I see the picture of Connor holding the two puppets. :thumbsup2

Looks like y'all had fun at the Dis meet! I can understand Charles's apprehension at meeting new people. It can be stressful. (I refuse to think of my Dis friends as strangers! ;) )

Nope, we aren't strangers at all! :goodvibes

CP:

Just read your update, but I must wait until this evening to comment because I want to take full advantage of the pictures I can't see! :laughing:It's so cool to read about you meeting up with shocker, wigd, and baylor because I really feel like I know everyone now from reading your TR's. Sounds like you had a wonderful evening watching Illuminations. Next trip I am going to watch. No pictures! Sorry Charles decided to to head back to the room.

They were just like they are on the boards and made watching Illuminations so much fun!

What a wonderful day at EPCOT :goodvibes

It was a great evening at Epcot overall!

Glad chelsea was being appropriately sparkly and Connor perked up for your all important Dis-meet! Poor Charles, tough vacation! Can't wait to hear how you all enjoyed illuminations

Luckily, I think Connor was done being a diva for the rest of the trip -- but I might be wrong and my memory might just be failing. I will have to consult the trip journal!

The story of Chelsea and the ball made me laugh! Last year Patrick had his birthday party at the bowling alley for cosmic bowling. We had some glow bracelets left from Disney so I brought them for the kids. At one point, one girl came over to me and had glow stuff all around her mouth :scared1: She had been chewing on it...YUCK! I told her to go get a drink and wash her face and hoped the stuff was non-toxic

Ewwww! I can't imagine glow juice tastes good. :scared:

So many great reviews of Rose & Crown. I'm going to have to add that to my to-eat list! :thumbsup2

I love a good DISmeet. Has anyone had a bad one?! :confused3

Charles spent a lot of time at AKL didn't he?

Rose and Crown was great! I have never read of anyone having a bad DIS meet -- that's because DISers are so much fun! :goodvibes Charles got to know AKL quite well!

Oh, CP! I can't believe you chickened out on Test Track. I am sure Chelsea wasn't trying to freak you out.

She wasn't but her comment was enough to make my mind start playing tricks on me!

Hehehe to Chelsea's sparkly reputation! Glad she was able to perk up!

Me too -- I had visions of Chelsea moaning and groaning all night! :scared:

Aren't Anita, Marc and Baylor the best? :goodvibes

Yes, they are the best! :goodvibes

How is Charles going to handle the fall with all us crazy DIS ladies? :rotfl2:

Lots of wine!

So fun to have a Dis meet. The several that we have had have been great. When I see picture of Chelsea and her photo ops it reminds me of Brooklynn and the fact that she is always ready to pose for the camera. I think next year's summer trip will be in June since everyone is buying their annual passes THIS WEEKEND!!!! We will have to plan it for before they expire. Maybe our dates will overlap!

I would love to meet y'all! I know that Chelsea would think that Brooklyn was the cutest thing ever! Sadly I think we are taking a break from WDW next summer and heading to Key West instead. However, if Disney releases another great discount like the 4/3 one this year, I may be able to convince Charles that we can't pass it up!

What a great day at Epcot! :goodvibes
:yay: For meeting up with Anita, Marc and Baylor and it so wonderful that we all speak the same language!! :rotfl:

Yes, we all speak the same Mickey/DIS language! LOL!

Great ending to your Epcot day! I'm not much in the way of thrill rides but I LOVE Test Track! It's not scary at all. I'm with you in RnR...no way in this world will you get me on that. I don't do Tower of Terror either.

TT isn't the least bit scary -- but for some reason, I chickened out that night.

Very nice update! How fun, a DIS meet! And who better with??!! So did you ever get to Soarin'? FT is a ride my kids like -- will do that, will NOT go on Misson Space.... not my thing! Cute kid pictures! Glad you had fun:goodvibes

We had a great time with Anita, Marc, and Baylor! We do get to Soarin' later in the week -- I couldn't not ride it -- it's my favorite one at Epcot!

What a nice night you had in Epcot. :) I'm glad you had a fun Dis meet. My dh does not get it, at all. He doesn't understand the whole online, message board thing that we do. LOL! So, he would have done the same as Charles.

Charles gets the whole online community thing since he plays a lot of online games, but he is just so shy around new people.

I think Anita and I chatted that night... I was and still am jealous.. maybe next June!

Again the kids are too cute.

Or the June after that since we are probably headed to Key West next year. We will meet up one year though! We just have to!

Thank you!

We stayed here
http://atlantishouse.com/

and we ate and drank here lol!
http://www.pierhouse.com/

there is another resort across from this one but I'm not sure of the name that we almost stayed our extra night at that seemed more family friendly but it is walking distance to Duvall as well. Casa Marina and Southernmost look gorgeous. There are some amazingly beautiful places to stay.

I will have to check both of those places out -- thanks!

ours too! even if we "could" fit in one stateroom, which we can't, it's out lol.

If we could sail in the off season, we would be all set, but since I am a teacher, it kind of limits my travel times (until I hit retirement).

awww....I actually think TT is just fast. RRC is more "scary". But the fast part of TT is so short, and outside, it's just fun!

I agree -- I have ridden it so much before, I am not sure why I got cold feet that night.

GREAT pictures! Puppets, masks, goats and a fabulous DISmeet! Everyone looks like they are having a blast.

We did have a blast! We just had the best time with them!

what a fun night--so glad you met up with Anita and family, but :sad2: about Charles missing the rest of the evening!

We had an absolutely great time with Anita and family!

I agree. The thrill for me about RnR was not knowing what was happening because it's in the dark. Honestly, I think TT is much less of a thrill ride. Don't get me wrong, it's fun but really it would be like driving down the highway in a convertible

I totally agree -- I have never had a problem with TT before -- I think I will blame the Welsh Dragon. LOL!

Sounds like a great night! Even though you didn't ride TT, you still were immersed (sp?) in Disney magic so everything was alright :wizard:

Exactly! :goodvibes

Looks like a great Dis meet too! Funny that Chelsea perked up when you told her to be bright and sparkly  Glad to see that Connor made a new friend too :thumbsup2

We all had a great time -- Connor did not want to be parted from Baylor at the end of the night!

Still got a bit of catching up to do but wanted to pop in and tell you I was here.

Funny how the kid's ailments come and go sometimes isn't it? I know my guys have a headache everytime some of my favorite old school tunes come on the radio. It disapears pretty quickly once the station is changed.

Yes, it always amazes me to see how fleeting some of my children's ailments end up being -- especially if it involves a chore they didn't want to do.

Sounds like you had yourselves a nice little DIS meet! Good for you!

And, also, I'm glad you "chickened out." I note that it gave you so much needed alone time. You were able to chill, relax, and I'm sure it did a world of good. :goodvibes

We had a great time at our DIS meet!

Yes, the quiet time was heavenly -- I might need to chicken out more often!

What a great night! Sorry about TT. I love that ride but my DH has yet to ride it. He said he would rather people watch....

It's not bad at all, but my mind was messing with me that night!

What a fun dismeet! My DH is also not to fond of the idea of meets but I wouldn't have been so nice as to let him duck out on me. :)

Really, I didn't mind Charles leaving too much.

Hey CP,
I'm finally caught up. It sounds like you're having a great time.

Hurray for being caught up! :thumbsup2 Despite a few glitches along the way, we really did have a good time!

What a fun DIS meet!! :cool1:

Did I miss something about October?? :confused3 Is this a new development or am I just clueless? :confused3

I haven't made a big deal about October yet -- Charles and I are heading down the first weekend of the month for the Food and Wine Festival and assorted DIS meets -- we are pretty excited to have a couples only trip!

Love those hats!!! I was actually thinking about buying one on our upcoming trip!! I don't really think I'd wear it out on the town LOL but it could be the start of a cute Halloween costume

It would be the start of a great Halloween costume! :thumbsup2

What a nice night you had! Aren't DIS meets so much fun! Your pics. from your meet are so cute! Sorry Charles bailed on you! Glad to hear Chelsea was her sparkly self!:goodvibes

We had an absolute blast with Anita, Marc, and Baylor -- not to mention they grabbed a great spot for us to see Illuminations for the first time!

I am joining in, going back to read now!

:welcome: Glad you are joining!

Love the girls and boys pics. These are great! Shocker actually has a Shocker T-shirt. Who knew? what a great Dismeet!

I never even noticed that!!! Not when we hung out with them and not in the several times I have looked at the pictures! I guess I shouldn't make fun of Charles for missing things anymore!

Oh Gosh Jackie-that sounds just like something I would say...

Great minds! :thumbsup2

We all have our chicken out of ride moments...I haven't done Everest yet-I'm doing this next month for sure, DS wants to do RnR coaster with mommy-and I don't want to let him down...right...:confused3...I've always wanted to do ToT but honestly the thought of that free fall... Why exactly is that fun...

Everest was a lot of fun -- the one time I rode it. :rolleyes1

So cool-you had your own mini Dismeet....

It was lots of fun!

gosh I feel bad, Im not even half way threw with my TR. I need to get to working on it. Things have been sooo busy lately and a lot has been going on. I am going to try and work on it tonight, but no promises.

I am not halfway through either -- don't feel bad! I am making mine last as long as possible!

It's okay to chicken out on a ride - sometimes it's even a good thing! You got to really enjoy the evening and just relax. :goodvibes I've forced myself to go on a couple rides in the past and sometimes I've regretted it...like Mission:Space! Ugh!

Love the DIS meet!! Wonderful pictures.

It was very nice just sitting there all by myself! I will never ever ride Mission:Space -- I am too prone to claustrophobia! :scared: Thanks! We had a great time at our DIS meet!

 Not that Alice!

I don't think any of these guys look like Charles....:cool1:

ShyGuyPoster_0.jpg

He would be the one in the middle!

Hmmm, about whom is she speaking? :rotfl2:

:lmao: I am sure she was talking about Baylor! Or Connor!

Jackie, we had such a great time seeing you guys! Chelsea was just a DIS-doll!:cutie:
Connor and Baylor were just as I expected....:rotfl: and it was so much fun talking DIS to DIS..... Connor just didn't know what hit him.:rotfl2:

We had such fun with you all! I truly think that Connor thought his mom was a one-of-a-kind freak until he met others just like me! :lmao:

I can't wait to get to that day on my trippie, I have a great picture that was taken while you took Chelsea to wash up...:goodvibes

I can't wait to see it!

As you can tell, we just got back, I see Shocker has been up to his usual shenanigans.....
You won't believe what I rode in Vegas just before leaving for the airport...

It wasn't the same without Shocker's visual commentaries! ;)

Oh, my! I can't wait to find out what you braved!!!

How fun a DIS meet for the fireworks! My DH would've high-tailed it out of there, too, he thinks this whole DIS thing is so strange.:confused3 Oh, well, isn't he the one missing out! By the way, I've started my DD(12) reading your report, she's really enjoying it. I think she likes seeing another girl her age doing all the things that she can't wait to do herself! Looking forward to reading what's next.:goodvibes

Awww, I am so glad your DD is enjoying it! I will have to let Chelsea know -- she will think that is really neat!

What a great way to end the day!!! I am so glad you all met up and had a great time! Shocked that Charles headed back......um, no!!! I can't wait to see what is on tomorrow's agenda!

It was a wonderful way to end the day! I will give you a little hint about the next day's agenda: DHS and Brown Derby!

Many more replies are on the previous page!

I am glad to finally see my new little buddy getting to have some fun at Disney!! :rotfl2: I bet Connor and Baylor did hit it off great and were a lot of fun to watch!!

Yes, maybe the strain of riding the second of two rides without me and with both kids was just too much for Charles. :rolleyes1

Nope, Marc was allowed to just hang out -- he didn't have to run anywhere the whole time!

Connor and Baylor were a hoot!

So you and charles are both chickens....just different breeds.

Exactly! :thumbsup2

Dis meets are fun, but also terrify me a little. I think it must be alot like online dating.

I never thought of it that way before! :rotfl2:

How can there be "usual shenanigans?"

shenanigans.jpg

Hmmm...I think my family needs this board game!

Oh, there are times when I am so glad I am married and don't have to worry about blind dates! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

You must be so thrilled that we are back.....

I really am -- I missed you guys a lot! :goodvibes

I grew up watching that movie because my mom is a huge Julie Andrews fan!

The saddest thing is that I have ridden Test Track for years!

Do you ride Soarin'?

It worked out so well being in Epcot for dinner, doing a couple of rides, and then it was time for Illuminations.

My mom and I watched the Sound of Music many times together. I guess she must be a huge Julie Andrews fan too, cause she loves Mary Poppins as well.

For some reason Soarin' doesn't bother my fear of heights at all. I think it is because I can see the ground and I know I'm really not that high up. I did freak out a little on Expedition Everest when we were going up the hill outside :scared1:, but I loved that ride so much I will sacrifice a moment of freaking out to do it again.

I am not a big fan of that part of Everest, so I just look at my feet when we are that high up!

Chelsea was complaining of a stomach ache (probably from eating all that steak at dinner), so as we walked towards World Showcase, I told her, “Look, you have a reputation on the DIS boards for being bright and sparkly. I need you to be bright and sparkly.” ;) Luckily, her stomach ache seemed to disappear as we walked through Mexico and Norway.

I'm a tad envious that Chelsa enjoys her role in your TRs so much. Tricia can only take so much of me taking pix and then she rebels and won't let me photograph her!

I will have to use the "sparkly" line on her, I think!

So glad your DIS-Meet was a success!! :grouphug:

I may already know, but I cannot recall, where are you staying in October?

Caribbean Beach Resort -- after we stay there, we will have stayed in all of the moderates.

Yep, that's exactly what my shoes look like except they are silver.

There are times later in the trip that Chelsea did rebel against all of the pictures and one time that Connor rebelled and I actually captured that one on film.

We had lots of fun at our DIS meet!

Um, you have no idea how lucky I am that I'm missing half the ingredients - otherwise I'm not sure I could resist trying this drink right now. I really should go back to work this afternoon instead. I LOVE Midori - so looking forward to trying this concoction!

I hope you like it, let me know!!:goodvibes

I am so envious of your dis meet!! I hope I get to meet both of your families in the future!

Tell Chelsea how cute the goat picture is! Both of your kids are so good at making the camera love them!! Too cute!

Looking forward to more!

I hope we get to meet you one day, too! :goodvibes

Thank you! Chelsea and Connor are usually good sports when the camera comes out.

Can't wait to read more!

:welcome: So glad you are enjoying it! I plan on updating sometime today!
