It has been a busy one around here. Just got home from my brother's birthday dinner and now have to get Maddie ready for bed. I will have to catch up on the thread tomorrow. I don't want to miss out on anything!

Quick Good Morning to everyone .

Steph~ Big hugs to you . I hope you were able to relax this weekend.

Beth~ My older kids haven't rode bikes in a few years so I don't have that problem. But I did make them wear helmets when they did and that's probably why they stopped riding their bikes . NO ONE (even the majority of adults I see) wears helmets around here . Also it's a law here to wear a helmet so the parents could get a costly ticket if there kids aren't wearing one.

Bridget~ That's so sad about you dad . Hopefully your son doesn't put up too much of a fight about wearing a helmet since he has seen first hand how bad head injuries can be.

Deb~ Hope you made it home safe from your trip. Just wanted to say what a cutie Brooke is . She's such a sweet baby & I'm glad I got to meet her. Jordon & Kaleb (I know I'm probably spelling his name wrong ) were also fun to hang with and they are both talkers (just like their mama )).

Just stopping in to say hi ladies! I had a wonderful visit with Beth while in Vegas and of course some yummy cheesecake
I went down there to spend time with a friend who turned 50 but I got a nice surprise when I came back to the hotel the first night and had my hubby waiting in the lobby for me Since my friends were in bed by 10pm it was nice to have Brad there to spend time with, we went to the dueling pianos at Harrah's which is always a great time!

I love the dueling pianos! Ruben and I have been there and had a blast. I also went there in Feb. with Theresa, Vicki, Heather and Stacie. I got video of them singing along to Piano Man.

Well, I think it's official. I'm sick. I spent all week and weekend caring for my sick family all while desperately trying not to get sick myself. But last night I woke up with a headache, sore throat, and runny nose.

Looks like today is going to be spent drinking lots of liquids, taking lots of vitamins, and getting as much rest as I can. Boo, hiss.


Oh well. Hope the week is starting off better for all of you!!

I got some Vinylmations over the weekend. I was so excited! I used the 15% off coupon I got via e-mail for Disney Store. Here are pics:

I wanted the orange texting one from the Urban series. I bought 2 from Disney Store on Saturday, walk out of the store and open them up. Well I opened one box and saw that someone had already opened it! They stuck a piece of scotch tape under the lid and the vinylmation pack was already opened. So I took it back into the store (thank goodness I hadn't left the mall already), showed the manager and he told me to pick out another one. I picked another box and I ended up with the variant!! I thought it was really cool and was wondering if it was rare because it wasn't the solid orange one. Jessica was the one who told me I got the variant. I'm planning to keep it.

I also got some cool new Domo figures. This is from a new series that came out. I got the Domo chaser yesterday! I was really happy! Here is a pic:

Sorry if the pic is not clear. I'll try to take a better picture later. The chaser is the Domo with the star under-roos. I really like these, they are so cute My Domo Mafia is growing!

We have a little guest at home right now - a deer in the backyard! I had my cat on my lap and all of a sudden she's super interested in something in the back yard. I looked up and there was the big mass that shouldn't have been there and upon closer inspection it was a deer eating leafs from our tree and our way overgrown backyard. He's been hanging out for a couple of hours now. He's so CUTE! I'll try and post pics tonight.

Afternoon all!!

Beth I am sorry you are not feeling well. I finally got it as well and it seems like when WE get it it lasts so much longer!! Both girls had it but they are over it but I have the SAME thing. Had a sore throat now my head is all stopped up and have the runny nose faucet and on and on! Hope you are better real quick!!

I had work this morning but I am home for a bit and then it is OFF again to piano. Luckily Shane is home tonight and then he is hopefully going to take the girls to swim so I can stay home and stay warm and rest. I am sure sitting in that freezing cold last week didn't help!

I am looking forward to the next few days to get caught up on my chores round here. We started cleaning out Katy's room as we are going to move our computer desk from our middle room to her room so she can have her laptop and printer in her room. Now that she is getting older and doing more work that requires it she can use that.

Get well fast! Your trip is coming! I slept almost all day yesterday with much the same symptoms you have (thank goodness for my DH he didn't wake me until dinnertime cuz he wanted me to eat!) I am better but still sick today He did everything today too! Including shuttling the kiddo to school and the dog to school at show & tell time... I think I'm keeping him!

Wow that deer looks pretty young to be all alone, wonder where the rest of her herd is?

EDIT on closer looking at the pic are those little antlers coming in? If so he may be a little man who has been kicked out of the herd but hasn't found a little mate yet.

Drive By Hi!

We have our yearly audit next week so I've only got a few days left to get everything ready. This past year we started offering the newspaper online and I have no idea what I need to have prepared for that portion of the audit...and no one else seems to know either.

I'll be happy when the audit is over!

At least every year they tell us what a good job we (I) do getting everything together and organized. I think some newspapers just dump a huge pile of stuff on the table and make the auditor search for the info they need. I put it all in 3-ring binders and lable all the reports and make everything nice and neat.
