:goodvibes Good Morning

Carrot Cake is my absolute favorite, now you really having me craving some, and homemade at that :thumbsup2

Hope you all have a fabulous day, back to work I must go! :goodvibes

Good Morning Girls!

Hey, Check out my ticker!!!!!!

Hey, what a coincidence, it looks a LOT like my ticker!! :thumbsup2

You would think these girls like going on vacation with their tickers and all!!

Nice ! I'm looking forward to lots of pictures !
Do they have a Golden Horseshoe over there? I wonder if they have good entertainment, of course it could never be like our Billy.:rotfl:

They have the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review but it's a dinner show... Very enjoyable (even Hubby said he would go back to that! Although that could be due to the all you drink wine!)

They have a Diamond Horseshoe but it's only a restaurant, no show as far as I know. The Hoop Dee Doo is at Fort Wilderness (I think).

Can't wait!! It's going to be so much fun!!!! And I hope the weather cooperates, not too hot and no rain. Low crowds would be nice too!!

And good morning. Finally got out of the house this week for breakfast with a friend. I am a french toast addict and I needed a fix. ;)

I love the Hoop Dee Doo show! So fun. I went on my last trip there and loved it. That was way back in '06 though!! :scared1: I miss WDW.

I have ALWAYS wanted to go to New Orleans but alas don't think I will be going much of anywhere anytime soon. With the economy and our finances NOTHING is set in stone at this point.

Your stuff always looks SO yummy I am SURE you would get people to buy it!! And hey it would be Disney spending money!! ;)
Kelly, I have three places on my travel wish list that I really want to go to. New Orleans, Ireland, and Alaska. But sadly, I doubt I will ever make it to any of those places. Travel is just so expensive and with a family of 6?? Forget it. Oh well, it's nice to dream about it. :cloud9:

I have some things to sell in the yard sale. The kids old clothes and such, but any money we get from that will probably go towards Easter, for baskets and maybe a nice Easter brunch or something. We'll see.

:cheer2: Jealous = me!
And me!

Good morning!
Hi Sarah! :goodvibes How's life treating ya? :)

Carrot Cake is my absolute favorite, now you really having me craving some, and homemade at that :thumbsup2

Hope you all have a fabulous day, back to work I must go! :goodvibes
I have to make it at home because when you buy it from bakeries or other places it usually has raisins, and I hate raisins. I add lots of carrots, pineapple, pecans, etc, but no raisins for me. I sent the cake in to work with my husband. His coworkers love me because I like to bake but usually send my stuff in to them. If I kept it here, it might be gone before noon!!! :rolleyes1

Have a good day at work!

You would think these girls like going on vacation with their tickers and all!!
I know. So weird. :confused3

Here's wishing for low crowds, and beautiful weather!! :wizard:

And good morning. Finally got out of the house this week for breakfast with a friend. I am a french toast addict and I needed a fix. ;)
You and my oldest daughter Noelle would get along great. She loves the stuff. In fact, I think I am making her french toast for dinner tonight. My family loves breakfast for dinner, which is fine with me because it's super easy! ::yes::
Where did you go for your fix?

Good morning! My DH let me sleep in this morning :lovestruc and got the kids ready for school and took them - I never even woke up they were all so quiet. I ended up rolling out of bed around 9 and have been able to get a ton of stuff done!

For all you crafters - I have been emailed a ton of JoAnne's coupons for 25% off total purchase, 40% off one item, and 50% off one fabric. Would anyone like me to email them to you? Just PM me if you do! I for one will be stocking up on my supplies over the course of this week.

I am a huge couponer and am so excited cause the other day I went to Target with the goal of using my almost-about-to-expire household products coupons. Since Target puts out coupons too I was able to double up on some coupons and walked out of there saving over $20 and even had some items that ended up costing me less than $1!

I hope you all are enjoying your week :)

Good morning! :goodvibes

A big big welcome to all of the new ladies joining in. :welcome: We do have a lot of fun! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Wendy, so sorry to hear about your cousin. That is just awful! Big hugs to you my friend!

Sherri, I am so sorry that the same thing happened to your brother. That is so sad. Hugs to you too.

Beth
, Carrot cake! Yummy! Just yesterday, the Barefoot Contessa was baking one, and it gave me the yearning to have some too. Hmm? ::yes::

Jess, We used to call my oldest DD Becky the "French Toast Queen." She would eat and eat and eat it!

Bridget, I've only driven through New Orleans. In 2000, our family took a big RV trip around the US. One of our stops was supposed to be NO. Only problem was finding a spot to park our trailer. So much to our dismay, we drove by the French Quarter, and that was that. We were told to park outside the FQ, but when we did, that was quite scary. A BIG no thankyou! Our truck and trailer would have probably been stripped. Not to mention just walking back and forth. :scared1: Dave was soooooooooo disappointed that he didn't get to have any crawfish, and I didn't get my beignets! :sad2:
So one of these days, we are going back. I actually would like to do the train. There is the southern route that takes you all the way from LA to Orlando, with stops along the way, including NO! Now that would be fun. :goodvibes
Can't wait to hear about your hotel and trip!

Kelly, I love old homes too! :cloud9:

WDW gals! I checked out your tickers! NICE!! :yay:

Angie, Nice to see you again! :flower3:

Steph
, 3000 boxes? That is unbelievable!! Do your girls get something for that? Holy smokes, that is a lot of cookies! :faint:

Today, I am getting a mamogram. Oh joy! :headache:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ok, weird Hoop Dee Doo story:

A couple of weeks ago during the girls' trip I was in the pin store in New Orleans Square buying a pin. The guy in line in front of me was a CM from Florida and when he showed his i.d., the cashier asked what he did in WDW. "Entertainment" he said. She laughed and said "Prince Charming?" and we all laughed (because he was kinda stocky, cute but not in a Prince Charming way KWIM?) He then started joking around that yes, he was the largest Prince Charming on record and he could also play "Beast" because he didn't need a costume. Then he finally said, actually I'm an actor.

So I looked at him again and it clicked--and I said "you're in the Hoop Dee Doo review" He looked shocked but he said "yes, I am." And then I said "you're the Traveling Salesman" and he looked even more shocked and said "yes!" . He was amazed that anyone in DL would know him. I only recognized him because we had a front row table and it was my Mom's birthday and he picked on her all night. I wouldn't have recognized him or even thought about it if I didn't know he was an acting CM from WDW!

Strange world, huh?

Hooray! I finally got caught up with the thread too!

...I love Paula Deen. One day I'd love to travel to Savannah and eat at her restaurant, "The Lady and Sons."...
My DH and I at there after a trip to WDW and we loved it! A homestyle place to eat with yummylicious food. Paula wasn’t in that day, but Bobby was. He’s such a cutie. There’s a nice gift shop attached to the restaurant. Of course we had to buy a few things.

Very sorry for your loss Chris. :grouphug:

Great job on the weight loss Marie! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you've set good goals and are on your way to acheiving them.

...I was so estatic when I saw the Banana stuffed french toast at Storytellers! I can not wait for that! ...
Ooh Amy. That sounds so much like the amazing Tonga Toast at the Polynesian Resort at WDW.
And good morning. Finally got out of the house this week for breakfast with a friend. I am a french toast addict and I needed a fix. ;)
Have you tried that banana stuffed toast Jessica? It’s yummy and I bet you could duplicate it at home.

Wendy, so sorry for your loss. Such an awful shock.

Welcome VallCopen! You'll love it here. :lovestruc

Welcome Paula! Enjoyed your TRs. :surfweb:

Your girls are quite the GS cookie sellers Steph, congrats! :yay:

:Hi ladies! We just got our modem fixed :) I have some stuff to do tonight, but will be back on around 9:30 to send out the exchange names and catch up on the thread
Great news Jen! I’m excited about shopping for my exchange Easter Basket!

The October mini meetups make me want to change by bounceback POFQ to GCH. Too bad Disney won’t let me do that. It’s a big Bday celebration for my BFF who lives in SoCal. Maybe she’d rather go the DLR this time. Hmmmm. Something to consider.

There’s been so much catching up to do in real life (and on the Dis) after being gone two weeks for the Princess Half and the DisDiva event. I posted some of my photos on the shared Photobucket when I returned. It was great to see the other photos too! Gotta get a countdown ticker going for the next Diva trip.

This is just a quick mockup I did after Bridget’s suggestion, but perhaps something like this could be incorporated on our shirts.

How funny Cheryl! But man what I wouldn't give to run into a Jack Sparrow somewhere....

Here is the Spring Wreath I made last night! I love it!

Cheryl - I remember you telling that story over the trip. What a small world. I bet the last thing he expected was to be recognized while at DLR!

Kathy - Can't say that I have. Heck, I don't think I've ever heard of stuffed banana toast before. Is that what Tonga Toast is? Maybe I should give it a try at home. Then again, I'm abysmal in the kitchen.

Mel - She had good taste! French toast is so yummy. Only even better if it's cinnamon french toast with lots and lots of syrup. Oh, and strawberry's too.

Jen - Awesome job at Target. I really wish I would be better about coupons. But the only time I remember them are when a new Disney movie comes out, lol.

I'm hoping to get around to getting some stuff for my Easter basket today. Then again, maybe I should wait until I get paid on Friday. Duh. I did find a couple of coupons so that'll be good.

I've been watching Chicago on TV. Not a fan of Renee Zellweger's to be honest, but my grandmother and I used to sing along to this soundtrack in her call all the time. Anywhere we went. I miss those days. She moved to Texas a few years ago and I miss her a lot. But at least she's only a phone call away.

What a small world! That's amazing that you still recognized him, it really must have been a memorable night.

Are you all packed for your trip "home" to SSR? Sounds like you ladies are going to have a fabulous WDW trip.

Here are some pictures of Tonga Toast Jessica.

I tried it for the first time during my Princess Half WDW trip this year and loved it. They serve it in three locations at the Poly. I'd heard so much about it on the WDW threads that I figured I had to try it. Glad I did.

Wow, this thread is making me feel hungry! ;)

Good morning! My DH let me sleep in this morning :lovestruc and got the kids ready for school and took them - I never even woke up they were all so quiet.
Aww, that was sweet of him.
Good job on the coupons! I try to use them whenever I can. Although our stores out here don't double or triple coupons so I can't get those really cheap deals like you see on Extreme Couponing. Not that I need 500 tubes of toothpaste anyway. :rotfl2:

Good morning! :goodvibes

Hello Miss Melody!!
What a bummer on your time in New Orleans. So close and yet so far. That train sounds like fun. I'd love to do something like that too.

Good luck at the mammo. Hope your girls :Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc aren't in too much pain after.

He was amazed that anyone in DL would know him.
Huh, that is something!

Hi Kathy. Her sons are cute! And I saw one of the wives and she is drop dead gorgeous!

Love it! The butterfly is so pretty. :hippie:

I'd heard so much about it on the WDW threads that I figured I had to try it. Glad I did.

Wow, this thread is making me feel hungry! ;)
I have seen pics of the Tonga Toast and it looks amazing! I have to admit to frequenting the WDW food porn threads just in case we ever make it back there. There is just too much good stuff!

Welcome to the new ladies! :hippie:You'll have a lot of fun with this group!

Great story!

I had a bit of a tough weekend. I got a call at work Friday afternoon from my uncle saying that my cousin had just been killed in a hit and run. :sad2: So I've spent the weekend in bed. (thanks for not being too chatty this weekend!)

So Sorry Wendy.

Guess you would not be interested in the hotel I am staying at in New Orleans with my sisters in July - Place d' Armes - supposedly one of the top ten haunted hotels in NO!! ;)

Have fun! I've been in that hotel but did not stay. I love NO it's a great city!

for those that have asked I Finally have the pics of the baby chinchillas...here you go!

ADORABLE!

Good Morning Girls!

Hey, Check out my ticker!!!!!!

And good morning. Finally got out of the house this week for breakfast with a friend. I am a french toast addict and I needed a fix. ;)

I never travel, but the few places I like like to see are the Bat Caves - forgot the official name, and the Grand Canyon. I never had a desire to go far from home.

Good Morning Girls!

So jealous!!

Girl's trip to New Orleans - now that would be fun!!

I'd be all over that trip . . .

:cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :thumbsup2 Wanna sneak me along in your suitcase?? :rolleyes1

I know! They are going to have a blast!!

Hey, what a coincidence, it looks a LOT like my ticker!! :thumbsup2

You all better take lots of pics and post often on fb!!! :thumbsup2

You would think these girls like going on vacation with their tickers and all!

Post LOTS of pictures, please.

Beth, you WILL make it to some of those places!! When your kids are grown you and Reuben can travel!! Traveling with 2 is alot cheaper than six! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a great afternoon!! :)

I never travel, but the few places I like like to see are the Bat Caves - forgot the official name, and the Grand Canyon. I never had a desire to go far from home.
We've been to the Grand Canyon, but it was probably 10 or 11 years ago. Although, I suppose it hasn't changed much so I don't need to go back. LOL I hope you make it there sometime. It was pretty spectacular, and scary in some parts where the drop is just "right there"!!

I never had a desire to travel outside of the United States. The only place I would consider traveling to now is Ireland and that's a fairly recent desire for me.
There are so many great cities and states to see around the US that I hope to one day be able to do so.

Road trips are great for that sort of thing! In our travels to and from Michigan, we were lucky enough to see such things as the Mall of America, Mt. Rushmore, the Oklahoma City bombing memorial, the St. Louis arch, etc.
All really neat, but not really destination spots in and of themselves, so a road trip was a great way to do it.

Beth, you WILL make it to some of those places!! When your kids are grown you and Ruben can travel!! Traveling with 2 is alot cheaper than six!
Ain't that the truth!!! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 Even going to McDonalds with 6 people adds up!
