Good afternoon, everyone. We just got back from seeing Cars 2. Ruben had the day off so we decided to take the kids to see it. If you go before noon Mon-Fri it's only 5 bucks a person! Leaves more money for popcorn.
I liked the movie, as did the kids and Ruben. I'm not sure how good it would be for very young kids. Not that it's scary, but the whole plot with the spies and such might be a bit complex for real little kids. Lots of racing action though so still entertaining for them.

Okay, now I'm going to catch up here before I start packing and baking some goodies for my in-laws who will be here tomorrow.

I want to go to WDW in October!!!! Awesome!! I love their Halloween parade over there. I think we need a ladies only trip to WDW in October 2012.


Ruben and I will be at DL this Sunday, assuming they let us in using the tickets Theresa sent us as an anniversary present! We'll see. We won't be there until afternoon because we are driving down that morning. And he's not really one for shopping, so it's best if I save that for the ladies trip.

I'm loving all of the planning ideas. I'm very much go with the majority on the shirts, etc. As for meals I'm looking forward to Cafe Orleans and possibly Carnation Cafe. Other than that I'm open.

What did your family think of Cars 2?

Mom and I are not 100% yet but if we go we will be rooming together of course and not sure where we are staying till it gets closer and we can find out about deals. Probably either PP again or one of the harbor hotels. I will let you know when it gets closer and we make some decisions.

Well you already know my list of roommates, but I need to book the room first . So on July 23rd if I secure a villa for the trip, then you can post the list and where we are staying .

Those of you, who would like a castle purple tee..... I am able to get more, but it will cost more than last year's, cuz the total amount ordered will be small. I guess if any of you would like one, let me know and we will go from there. And I am more than willing to bling one up for you, if you want. I saved all of my stencils, just in case!

I have not forgotten about our new tee. I love the retro sign, and can't wait to get that going. Would you consider changing the background color? I am all for bright pink or a nice solid pink.


I am also considering coming for the Halloween party. Woo hoo! We will see!

Okay, first of all, a big hug for you! So glad to see you back here. We missed you, and I've been thinking of you often.

Secondly, if you'd like, if it makes it easier for you, I can keep a running list of those wanting to order the purple tee. I'm here most days so it would be fairly easy for me, but if you'd like to do it, that's fine too. Just want to help you out in any way I can.

Third, I'm cool with a pink tee. Pink is my favorite color, so you won't have to twist my arm. lol And I trust you to make it look spectacular!!

Finally, I selfishly hope you make it to the Halloween party! I would love to see you again!

Well, I am all for the idea of switching the days so we still keep all the colors. So unless someone has a strong objection to that, we'll just swap the two days and still have pink and teal colors. After all, we have to make sure we have a day that matches your hair!!
Hmmmm, wonder how I'd look with teal highlights......

Well see, my hair color is très important! I thought everyone knew this.



I'll probably be going whatever route ends up costing me the least as far as where I'll be staying - and anyone who will have me as a roomie. Then again, I need to keep reminding myself that the whole payment plan for my AP is going to mean more $$ for me for both early 2012 trips.

I completely forgot today was actually Friday. It's kind of my Monday so I didn't really want to think about it. I was supposed to go to S.F. on Sunday for an exclusive Vinylmation release for the city but of course it turns out that this weekend one of the things we have to do is something I'm the only person trained for. Go figure.

BUT! I officially got Labor Day Weekend off so I don't have to stress about that at all. Although I did realize that I only booked the HOJO Friday and Saturday night. I thought I had Sunday night in there as well. Ooops.

I've been wondering, who all will be at DLR for the Disneyland Half over Labor Day Weekend? I know we have quite a few who will be there (registered for the races or not) but I can't remember exactly who. And how many have already registered for the Tinkerbell Half in January?

My mom and I (and my aunt) will be there Saturday-Monday.

I think we'll be in the parks Saturday late afternoon/evening and then Sunday after the race. My aunt and I have to hit the Expo Saturday morning and my mom's meeting with the Hunt Commitee.

We are planning to eat at Naples on Saturday night and do the Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends Character Breakfast at the Paradise Pier Hotel on Monday morning. If anyone wants to join up with us please do.

Very first of all.

A very very big thankyou to all of you who sent the flower arrangement to my Mom's funeral. It was absolutely beautiful, and in my Mom's favorite colors. Purple and yellow. Was that a coincidence? Anyways, it was a wonderful surprise. You all are such dears, and I love you!

We all stood out sooooo good in that color, and I believe it will be striking once again. If we chose that color, don't get caught up in it clashing with the original colors of the sign. We can change those up just a bit, to color coordinate it beautifully. I am saying all of this, cuz we loved that color from last year, and we want to wear it again this year. So why not use pink for our new tee? It kind of makes sense, don't you think? (Nothing like putting my big two cents in huh?)

Well - I am not a fan of light pink - could we do a really bright pink or even HOT PINK??

I will be down over Labor Day weekend. The Hunt Committee has things to discuss while there.

You better sweetie - we need you there!

Besides all of that, I am doing pretty good. I have my moments of course. It's still unreal at the moment. My siblings and I are not even going to through her stuff for a couple of months yet. Hopefully by then, I will be ready for it. Love, Mel

From personal experience, it will seem unreal for quite a while. My dad passed away suddenly last Feb and it wasn't until late April that my sister and I flew to Texas to help my step-mom go through his things. It was cathartic - we had some tears but way more laughs! It helped doing with my sister. Hang in there - you are a strong lady!!

Spent the evening in the kitchen with Noelle making things for this weekend. Macaroni and chicken salad, baked ziti, meatloaf, corn bread, triple berry crisp, etc.
I am pooped, but at least my kids will be fed while my in-laws are here. lol

I am trying to convince my mom to come with me on this trip, just not sure if it will happen. She is just not a planner and it drives me nuts!

We went to see Cars 2 last night and my kids loved it! We went with some friends and all the kiddos seemed to like it.....even more than the first one.

Well, off to do laundry and clean up this house that has gotten out of control.
