Paula, Do you perchance like to stamp?

Just asking cuz Lisa/LisaCat is a big stamper here. At the moment she is quite involved in some kind of stamping get together or convention.:thumbsup2

Convention is July 13-16. I will be in Salt Lake City from the 12th to the 17th of July. I've already signed up for 3 or 4 swaps and will either join another or end up hosting it.

The website I'm staff on is holding our Meet & Greet party on the 13th, wedged in between registration/check in and the kick off party that evening. I learn to live without sleep for that week in July. Then I come home and sleep for a week, it seems.

All the planning and stuff for the Meet & Greet *should* start to quiet down around the end of the month. Then the craziness will start in June when we get to see the preview stuff from the new catalog and then all heck will break loose July 1 when the new catalog goes live and we start stalking the poor UPS man for our orders of new product that we need to make the swaps we signed up for and only have 5 or 6 days to make before we leave for SLC. Yeah. I will be a total stress puppy from the 6th of July until the evening of the 13th when the Meet & Greet is done. And I'm so insane I do this every year. Although, right now, I plan to sit out next year. This will be my 6th Convention with Stampin' Up which immediately followed 3 consecutive Conventions with Close To My Heart, so that's 9 years. We'll see if I can manage to NOT go next year. LOL Then, I probably won't be able to go in 2013 since we are planning a cruise that "summer" for my birthday. I'm eyeing the Disney Cruise to Alaska..... drooooool.....

I'm actually caught up. I'm sure I'll be another 5 pages behind by the next chance I get to catch up. LOL.

Yes I do like to stamp. I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator like Lisa for 10 years and finally gave it up October of last year. Financially it became a decision of keeping that up or being able to go to Disneyland and since I hadn't held any parties for quite some time and most of the stuff I was ordering I wasn't even using it was time to let it go. All my stuff is just piled high on my desk... Eventually I hope to be able to do more again. I figure I have enough stamps and supplies to last quite some time without having to place an order.

Ok ladies we are going to WDW in 2013 for Brooke's 3rd birthday.
Where would you stay? Kidani, Saratoga Springs, AKV, VWL, or BCV?
I really want to stay at Kidani, but also BCV.

Oh, fun! I am aiming for Dec 2012, but am going to put in for as many different dates for my exchange, as I can take, and then take what I can.

Sept 23.
I just can't decide where to stay. I can book/exchange 13 months in advance.
Are you exchanging your WM through RCI? If so, you can put your "request first" search in up to two years in advance, although the way the DVC gets deposited, it is not likely to match until 11 months or 7 months, unless there are large developer deposits.

That is what we are going to do. I am going to try for a Grand Villa but will settle for a two bedroom, or possibly a one bedroom if it was a location I really wanted. My darn 8 year old insists on sleeping with us anyhow when on vacation and in a king size bed. He never sleeps with us at home. And then my teenager is pretty flexible, so it works for us.

I think my first choice will be BCV because of location/transportation, but in all honesty, I would be thrilled in any one of them.

I was on bed rest for four months with my second and it was truly horrible! Especially because we had just moved from Washington to Phoenix, and I had no friends there, no idea where anything was, couldn't get to know the community at all, couldn't go anywhere, do anything, etc. No visitors came to the hospital when I finally had him....no baby shower....no flowers....no congrats from anyone. Are ya tearing up yet? Haha. ;) :goodvibes

That really stinks! I had an incredible support team and was STILL miserable and depressed. I can't even imagine being somewhere all alone-ish and going through it. That's the nice thing about sidelines. They match you with someone with a similar experience, usually close by and you can call, text or email anytime you need to. There were days when I just wanted someone to tell me it was OK to feel selfish and want to get out of bed. I learned all kinds of things about making the bed more comfortable (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE laying in bed. It all changes when you don't have a choice!)
Andrea, What a great support for those women. :grouphug: I've often wondered how some women do it. I will be sure to let her know, if it comes to that. Which I'm sure it will.
Did you have multiples too?
TMI WARNING...I have two uteri which caused preterm labor & premature rupture of my membranes. My son was a twin but I lost the other very early, about 12 weeks. (You all know more about me then you wish you did now..)
Hi Deb!
What's the dolphin feeding? Is that the big area with the dolphins where you can buy fish to feed them? If so, is it seriously $7 now???? Shoot, I remember when we used to go waaaaayy back when Ruben and I were dating, you could get a little plate of fish for one dollar. lol

Yeah, it's that area but for $7 you get to interact with, pet & feed the dolphin for a good amount of time. Much better investment then the hundreds of $$ they wanted for a dolphin interaction, lol.

Morning all!

I see you were busy again last night. Wow quite a wide range of topics too LOL.

Beth that is cool that you liked Scream 4. The girls like those movies too and wanted to watch them. So we watched 1 and 2 but I can only take so much at a time so we didn't watch 3 yet. We have been watching old episodes of Twilight Zone on Netflix so we switched back to that lol. But glad to now 4 is good and will look forward to renting it when it comes out!!

Gosh all this talk of DW and I know I was just there last Nov but it bums me out none the less because I too am so excited to see the new fantasyland but we have NO immediate plans of going back and now with the outragous airfare I have NO idea when we will. For our first 3 trips we had return trips planned practically before we even left but after we left in 08 we had NO plans for another trip and the ONLY reason we went in 10 was because our timeshare company messed up and we had some weeks that got booked and we had to use them or lose them. In fact mom even wanted to go somewhere else but it never worked out and we just ended up going there. I am glad we did because it ended up being during F&W and we had a GREAT trip. In fact one of our best I thought but there are just SO many other places that we want to go it is hard to justify going back there when we have been 4 times so I don't know WHEN we will get back. Mom wants us to go to her place in Mexico next year so that is the plan for now. But at this point EVERYTHING is so up in the air at this point. Shane and I have to renew our passports this year and the girls don't even have any so that right there is an expense and on and on. I guess I will just have to live vicariously through your trips!! :)

Anyway I am off today with Katy and Mom to the baby shower and excited about that and then tomorrow I will be making our dinning ressies for our June trip so excited about that as well.

Hope everyone has a good day today!!

Oh My! I am SO tired! I ended up getting a phone call at 12:52am asking if I wanted to come in and work the rest of night shift... Um yeah! Even with no sleep its a no brainer... By working last night the next weekend I work both shifts will be double time! Unfortunatly I am now a walking zombie having been awake about 24 hours... I hope everyone has a good day... I'll be sleeping for most of it!

I really want to stay at Kidani, but also BCV.

Once I know that I will be able to give you better advice, but would suggest either VWL (for access to Magic Kindgom) or BCV (for access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios) -- the other two you will have to take busses for all four parks.

My first choice would be BCV, with VWL being a strong second! (Kidani would be a very strong third choice.) I would be thrilled at any of them though! Have fun planning! :yay:  :yay:

Capri, You poor thing! How sad to be all alone during that time. :sad2: I'm giving you a big hug now!

Awwww. I would have been there everyday until you were sick of me! That's just not right.

By the way, good to see you, stranger!! Thought I was going to have to send out the search party to find you. ;) Hope all is well with you and the family.
LOL - thanks you two! I was just telling my story because it related to the "sidelines" service that I had read about from Andrea. It was such a long time ago for me, but I'm glad that a support system is in place for women in similar situations now! :thumbsup2

And yes, all is great with me and the fam! I only have 2.5 weeks left of student teaching! Wow, it's gone by so fast. I can't believe I'm almost done....like DONE done. Happy dance happy dance! :woohoo:

Whoooo hooooooo, I'm so happy you're planning another trip! Such fun to plan! I will cross my fingers for you that your first choice comes through for you!!! :wizard:

And one more time, I just have to say, what a dream it was for me and my family to stay at SSR. Thank you!

TMI WARNING...I have two uteri which caused preterm labor & premature rupture of my membranes. My son was a twin but I lost the other very early, about 12 weeks. (You all know more about me then you wish you did now..)

I'm so sorry!

I got the call this morning at 430 "Where are you?"..oops- I guess I signed up for overtime and didn't realize it. 12 hrs at time and 1/2? Thank you very much!

And you guessed it...I get PAID to DIS!! (ok technically I can DIS while working but..well..same diference!)

Yes, that's what we are doing. But then we added more points but at first were very much saying NO, they gave us a "good deal" without having to pay certain fee's and other things, we have 1 free wk to use at anytime through RCI, we don't have to pay the exchange fee, we are now Diamond or something owners. But in the end it did turn into a great deal for us, for them maybe not so much. But hey if you want us to add points don't tell me what I have to do, because after that I was like no, you can keep your points & we will keep what we have & pay the RCI exchange rate. So as we were walking to the elevator back to our room they stopped us & gave us double the GC card for sitting through the spiel & 2,000 extra points, plus other things. But it is a totally an confusing thing. Going from WM ot RCI for certain things.

I'm thinking BCV, with Kidani a 2nd. Marci stayed there a few years ago and LOVED it!!
We are looking at Sept 2013 or June 2013.
I wonder if we can add the dining plan?

Check out the latest Muppet-inspired Vinylmation figures

OMG!!! I love these! Oh no, now I HAVE to start collecting Vinyls... LOL

I'm still mad that I didn't buy the entire set of Muppets Vinyls they had at Company D when we went. :sad1: I know we have some CMs on here, can someone check for me to see if they still have any? If they do, I can PayPal the money ASAP!

Yes, you can add the dining plan, no problem at all.

PS The place that I have found the absolute best information about using my World Mark ownership is at www.worldmarkowners.com
It is ran by owners that just share and help each other out with information on how to make the most of the ownership. There is a ton of information about exchanging into DVC. A really great sight.

Congratulations on your additional points. I really love the flexibility of Worldmark. But I really want a little tiny DVC membership:thumbsup2

Morning all!

Everyone must have had fun stuff going on yesterday as I see there wasn't too much talk since I left yesterday lol.

Mom, Katy and I really enjoyed the shower. It was for a gal we work with's daughter and they are both very environmentally aware and vegetarian, very eco aware etc. So we had lunch at a restaurant that is made up of all homeless people that are being re-trained in the food service industry so they can go back into society and get jobs. Very forward thinking and a neat idea! It was out at the old Army Depot. I had never even heard of it. And of course we had mostly vegan food but they did have a few items for us meat eaters LOL. She also got a lot of stuff for her eco diapers that she is going to do and clothes that were made from recycled stuff and on and on. They are WAY more eco friendly than I I must admit. But she got some really neat and cute stuff and it was fun to see all the cute baby things. It's been a long time. All of my friends are in their 40's so long married and not in that marrying or baby phase so haven't been to too many weddings or baby showers in a long while. Have to wait for the next generation now ;)

Anyway the only bad part is I have had a stupid headache for the last few days and it made it hard to enjoy and when I got home I had to eat and immediately go to bed so I missed Amazing Race but I am glad I did because I feel better this morning which is good because I have to go to work today BLEH! It is also supposed to rain again today and a few days this week INCLUDING easter!! YUCK! I was hoping since it was so late in the year this year it would be nice and sunny but NOPE! Go figure LOL.

Anywho Shelby still has piano today and the girls still have swim all week so that much is still the same and Shane is off so he can help with that part. I am just looking forward to tomorrow and the next few days when I can actually spend some time with the girls. Not sure what we are going to do quite yet but we will think of something fun!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning, ladies!!

Just popping in to say hello. We had a great day out in the park yesterday, then my inlaws arrived late afternoon, and Ruben and I had a nice night out. We didn't stay out overnight........with Spring Break it was too packed on the Strip and he's got a bit of a cough left so we just came back home. Oh well, it was still fun going out just the two of us. :goodvibes

This morning he got up early and is at the Urgent Care just to make sure his cough isn't anything too serious. My inlaws are still in town and today is the first day of Spring Break for the kids. Ruben is off today and tomorrow as well so who knows what we'll end up doing. Hopefully something fun! :)

Take care, and hope everyone is doing well!!!

Later! :hippie:

Checking to see if my siggie is back. Nope.
Is it back yet? popcorn:: This is like the Great Siggie Watch of 2011. popcorn::

I'm eyeing the Disney Cruise to Alaska..... drooooool.....
I want to go to Alaska too! Let's win the lotto, okay? Then we can both go. :thumbsup2

My darn 8 year old insists on sleeping with us anyhow when on vacation and in a king size bed. He never sleeps with us at home.
Aw, that's cute. Probably doesn't allow you to get much sleep, but still cute. :goodvibes

Awesome! My kids are gonna love that. Okay.......I will too. lol
By the way, I got your photo and it's now added to the front page. Great pic!! :)

Whoohoo for double time!! My husband Ruben got called back into work on Friday night. He went in at 9:30 and didn't get home until 5:30. I was so tired cause I can't sleep when he's not here, but the good thing is it was double time. Drink lots of coffee!!!! :hyper:

And yes, all is great with me and the fam! I only have 2.5 weeks left of student teaching! Wow, it's gone by so fast. I can't believe I'm almost done....like DONE done. Happy dance happy dance! :woohoo:
That's great, Capri!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:

Fly by hi!!! :cutie:
Hi Jen! How did your tattoo competition go? :)

OMG!!! I love these! Oh no, now I HAVE to start collecting Vinyls... LOL
LOL Those are cute! ::yes::

Mom, Katy and I really enjoyed the shower.
Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds very different, but good for her! I hope your headache goes away soon and you feel better.

Morning Ladies!!

The sun finally showed itself yesterday.....it was pretty exciting to know it was still there!!

Went out to karaoke Saturday night & my hubby says I'm a pro now.......I got "paid" for singing......lol After I sang My Immortal (Evanescence), a young hottie came up & thanked me for singing it & how great it was, yada yada yada & then he bought me a drink!! lol  Gosh, it was pretty funny but grrrrrrrrrrrr (in a good way) I was a bit pink in the cheeks. :flower3:

Hope Monday treats you all well!!

Hi Jen! How did your tattoo competition go? :)

It went well - Reno is so much fun! My artist, Danny entered in my ship, a black side piece of a Gryffin in the large black and grey category, and a flower and butterfly arm piece in most realistic. The entry table put me in Most Unique. After crossing the stage and showing my piece, I went backstage to show the judges up close. Two of them wanted to move me to Best Traditional piece, but the third judge said no. I would have won if I was in that category. The flower and butterfly piece won, which is Danny's first award. He is so happy! We will be finishing my peacock tattoo on the 28th and then starting several more pieces. I did get my photo taken by some magazines so I am hoping my tattoos are in one :wizard: My friend who lives in Reno met up with me and her, Danny, and I played black jack till around 2 am ( I won $80!).

I think I have about 50 pages to catch up on :rotfl: Guess I know what I will be doing later....
