disposable underwater camera question?

I know you'll chuckle at this...but I have to ask:

Can you use these for regular picture taking or are they really made for just underwater? You know...would they come out blurry in the sun?

Don't want to take my digital to TL or BB.

We used our underwater cameras at TL and at Castaway Cay for both underwater and regular use, and all the pictures came out fine.

We used both a Kodak brand and a Fuji brand. The Fuji was cheaper, easier to use, the wrist strap was better, and the pictures were of better quality. I'll never buy the Kodak ones again.

about 6 years ago we were in Cancun with my DD and her friend who were about 16 at the time.

It was our last morning there and I was at the beach with the girls and DD friend set her camera on the beach to pick up some shells when a big wave came in and swept her camera out to sea!!!

The look on her face you just wanted to cry.. She looked so sad!!

As we stood there we noticed the the camera was riding the waves back into shore!!!

Each time getting closer!!

Finally it close enough it landed on the beach and some guy that was getting
a bang out of watching this ran down it get it before it got swept away again.

DD friend was so happy and even after riding the waves the pictures came out great!!!!

Just remember to try and keep the lense area clean---no suntan lotion or oil--found this out the hard way.....I have bought a reusable water camera in a plastic cassing for our upcoming trip---was $15 on ebay---will definately save some money--we like to take lots of pictures at the pools and water parks...
