Ok, a question I just thought of. Are disposable diapers allowed in resort pools? Does anyone have experience with the washable swim diapers? I just got a onestepahead catalog and noticed that they have a few options. I would never go through the trouble of using reusable diapers, but for swimming maybe....Thoughts?

NO!!! Disposable diapers are NOT allowed in Disney pools, and please don't try in MHO it is gross. YOU CAN use disposable SWIM diapers, such as a Little Swimmer and they do the trick just fine. If you use a regular diaper the filling will fill with water and fall out all over the pool, not to mention the risk of a poopy accident... ewwwwhhhh...:scared1:

Ok...I meant disposable swim diapers....LOL!!! I know you can't use regular disposable diapers because they explode. I was just wondering if swim diapers were allowed, and if anyone had experience with the swim diapers that are washable/not disposible. Hope this clarifies my question.:goodvibes

We mainly used cloth swim diapers. Brand name is iPlay, and they are generally found at the end caps of Target. Adorable!

We also used cloth diapers, and they were not a pain in any way, shape, or form. The breathing difficulties I encounter in the disposable diaper aisle of the grocery store is a pain. The combo of baby poop/pee and plastic diaper smell, that's a big pain in the nose. Doing an extra wash every few days? Not difficult at all, and cloth fluff is the most adorable laundry you'll ever put away. :goodvibes

(please note I answered your question before doing my cloth dipe PSA :upsidedow)

I used the reuseable diapers with my first since swim diapers weren't out yet....they were so gross! Was so glad to have disposable ones with my other kids!!:thumbsup2

I use regular cloth diapers, but I steer clear of cloth swim diapers when not at home just because of a bad experience with one.

We were at a hotel, and our foster baby had a really disgusting poop in the cloth swim diaper I had on him. I found myself bent over the hotel toilet trying to get the sticky poop off of the diaper lining. I washed it several times when we got home, but the smell never came out! I ended up throwing it away.

For playing outside in the back yard in the sprinkler or whatever, I put them in a cloth swim diaper, but when on vacation, I use paper ones!

We used the disposable Swim Diapers and noticed many other children with them as well. These worked real well for us (at Disney at other pools) and never thought to try anything else.

We use cloth diapers exclusively for my youngest, and use cloth swim diapers as well. I love them! We have a few different brands, but Imse Vimse is my favorite. They fit very well under her swimsuits. In 20 months we've never had a leak or blow out with cloth diapers, or cloth swim diapers. If you go with a cloth swim diaper, be sure to buy the correct size so it fits properly. :)

We also use the iPlay diapers. I purchased on Amazon. They have cute patterns or just white. We also use the the Little Swimmers disposable, those work well, also. I use the washable whenever possible because I feel that they fit more snug and will better prevent accidents. However, we do a lot of swimming and don't like to put a wet diaper back on DD so thats when we resort to the disposables.
