Yes almost all resorts have ongoing work. See if you can get more detail on the Polynesian work that is being reported as noisy?Just found out a few minutes ago construction ongoing at the Polynesian too. One person said it's very loud. No more detail than that but similar notice sent out recently.
I'm more concerned about scaffolding in front of my room than the lobby construction.so the lobby construction is not an issue? If we stayed at Poly we thouhght of going over there for a drink and relax inside. We're have reservations for 1900 breakfast anyway. but the lobby is a full on construction zone now.
I could be wrong but it sounds like there will not be a covered area. So if we're in the middle of a storm, no protection. Sounds like it could be a bit further away from the front door to get picked up / dropped off but front door will in fact be accessible. And if we can do all of those things, what exactly is closed?
We've stayed there many times over the years - even with grandkids - because of price/location/amenities. But want a Disney themed resort this time given everyone will be there at the same time. There's always Swan and Dolphin for close park entrances... they are not BC & YC but have some appeal on their own.
Yes that has been very odd, and there were comments about since last time the message was updated in 2024, what that meant since there is only the MK that is viewable from the Poly. It's the 'some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted' part that is concerning.
The Rose and Crown should be finished with it's Pub Keg room refurbishment by the time you arrive, I hope. All we know is it was multi month project, and it started in late March and no further information has been published.Truly a fluid situation. Family is leaning back to Beach Club now. Plus to that - I'm just walk over to Rose and Crown every day.
Officially nothing is closed or not offered during the porte cocheres closures at some point during the exterior maintenance at the BC - June - September , and YC - July - November. Stay tuned for more details...And if we can do all of those things, what exactly is closed?
That's it. For the sake of your health no more Disney news for you!Wait - Rose and Crown too? Will this nightmare never end???
Just kidding - I see it's open but draft beer outside for now; and should be done before mid July
Right, and to add a clarification since not everyone will know what the Pub Keg room is at the R&C. You got the update that limited draft beer selections are available outside at the temp kiosk with Taps. The rest of the R&C features are available, table service with cocktails / canned beer, and the R&C Fireworks Dining Package.Wait - Rose and Crown too? Will this nightmare never end???
The Magic 8 balls says "Maybe". Right now the Scaffolding is down on the Crescent Lake side of the YC. But anything might change between now and early July when the work announced in the YC note starts up.It seems that most of the work will be in the front/entrance area so I'm wondering if we upgrade to water view will we have less of a chance of scaffolding? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
I walked from the boat dock back to the YC today. The resort looks very nice. Gardeners were working on the gardens.I can't see them reinstalling Scaffolding on the Crescent Lake side of the YC. It looks like they are finished with the new roof shingles and siding work on that side of the YC.

We're up on attraction closures and openings (like Little Mermaid and Villains shows at the studios. No surprises there. But I check email with some trepidation nowRight, and to add a clarification since not everyone will know what the Pub Keg room is at the R&C. Do you also know about all the attractions that are currently closed or will close before your arrival, and not reopen until after your group leaves (remain calm, and breath slowly)....

If you get a room with scaffolding, immediately go to the front desk (in your case the CL concierge) and request a room without scaffolding. Maybe they can move you, maybe they can’t. Even if none is available maybe something will be available the next day if you’re willing to move. This is a bummer as we have 3 rooms at YC booked starting July 19. I'm not concerned about 2 of the regular rooms that our adults kids will be in (LOL) but DH and I use our balcony a lot and scaffolding in front will be off putting. Right now we have a resort view club level room. It seems that most of the work will be in the front/entrance area so I'm wondering if we upgrade to water view will we have less of a chance of scaffolding? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
