Here is the view from our room.

Thanks for the pictures!

Now that you are checked out, do you mind sharing the room number?

Just back from a 6 night stay

Thanks for the comments about your stay. Sorry that it took two strikes before you could get a room that was acceptable. Sounds like you handled the situation well, which helps keep your attitude positive as well as allowing the CMs to help you get what you need.

::yes::

I'm trying to figure out what to request for our room. It's a 1 BR Dec 27-Dec 4 at BCV. Do the 5th-floor rooms have a full balcony? I would rather have a 1st floor room with a patio or top floor with a chance for a view but I am unsure. This is a laid-back trip, golf a couple of times and parks early and late most days. No need to ride it all and kill ourselves trying. I have not even looked to see what we might want to eat for ADR's and it's time to do them. I just don't really want to be tied down but I know at that time of year we need to make them.

:welcome:

I'll add your trip to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Dec 27-Jan 4?

I'll leave others to offer suggestions about rooms, but yes, all rooms in the BCV section have full balconies.

The Yacht Club's Ale & Compass now has a private area for small groups, called The Keeper's Room. It can accommodate up to 24 people, for private breakfast, lunch, and dinner functions.
There are comments that the A&C Lounge and Restaurant are seldom busy, and this is a way to bring in some business.

Thanks for this info!

:thanks:

Just took advantage of the welcome back offer Disney sent today. Looking forward to returning to Yacht Club in December. Had been planning on going in November, but when you can double your stay for less money I’m gonna go with the longer stay

:welcome:

I'll add you to the list.

We walk it all the time. At a leisurely pace it takes no more than half an hour. We do it in about 20 min. When HS closes there are alot of people walking back, so we feel comfortably safe. I wouldnt want to walk any later though. Its a beautiful, quiet walk with no crowds.

:welcome: to the thread and thanks for your input.

We are staying in a 1 bed villa Sept 1-3.

We stayed here for the first time last Labor Day but it was for only one night. The kids are excited to use the pool longer, and I'm excited that we don't have to drive or take Disney transportation to any parks! (We're only doing Epcot).

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Had a lovely stay at the BC! Kids loved SAB, we loved the walk to Epcot. Beautiful resort!

Glad to hear you had a great stay! Thanks for sharing your kind comments about the resort.

:thumbsup2

I am continually amazed and appalled at how bad Disney’s IT, web site, and App are for how sophisticated it seems they would want to be seen as, and for how much all aspects of planning a Disney trip rely on their Website and app!

WORD!

:badpc:

We are considering at stay in a DVC studio -- have always wanted to stay here!

So, we are a family of 5. Kids would be 9,6 and 6 at the time of our trip.

One would sleep on the pull down, one with me and the other on a blow up mattress on the floor (she is a wild and crazy sleeper, can't share a bed and would undoubtedly fall out of the pull down kid bed.)

How comfortable have folks found the fit with five people?

And unrelated, how is the boat to Hollywood Studios?

:welcome: to this forum.

I will leave it to others who are more knowledgeable about the villas to answer your questions.

:cool2:

Are there certain sections in YC that have the day beds? This is a first stay for us. 2 years ago, we stayed at BC and our room had one. It really helps for spreading out.

:welcome: to the thread!

When is your trip?

I am not aware that the daybed rooms are concentrated in any particular section or view category of the YC.

I do believe that most (or maybe all) of the rooms that have a daybed will also have a tub/shower combo in the bathroom instead of the shower only unit that is in some rooms.

If a daybed is important, you should add this as a request to your reservation.

::yes::

I have a couple of Minions who are at the resort now- man, I would love to be there, too!

If you have any questions they can help with, let me know.

The latest info on the cabana installation is late August, early September, but I don't think that is official or set in stone. Lots of things could impact the dates of the work.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Friendship Boats have been checked and cleared and are now running to Hollywood Studios!

Good thing, too, with Toy Story Land opening today. Heard that rides started running at 6 am and people were camped out in line overnight.

:boat:
Those guests on the first boat were going to be late - the park opened at 6 this morning!

I hope they figure out a way to run the boats more frequently. I wonder if there is a "spare" FriendShip boat that can be added to the schedule to accommodate the greater demand.

looks like they haven’t quite finished the work - glad they made it a priority to get them up and running.

Hi, Dee! For some reason I’m not able to quote you, but our room at the YC was 2093. It was a garden/woods view room, but had the great view of the gazebo and part of Crescent Lake. It also had a daybed and a shower/tub combo.

We truly loved our time at the YC. When we found out the BC was booked, we were disappointed, especially my boys, but I’m so glad we gave the YC a try. We really appreciated the quietness that the YC offered as opposed to the BC. We also liked that the YC bus stop is first for pick up/drop off. We enjoyed the QS at the YC, too. It was never really full and we appreciated the seating area.

Well looking forward, too leaving tomorrow night but Thunderstorms look to be in the future which may delay our flight so hoping those kip right over chicago lol. Still set to check in the the BC club on the 2nd though

It's time for me to put in a room preference request for YC. Our category is standard 2 Queens/CL - any suggestions that might help me?
First time at this resort so TIA.

What view category? Daybed or not important?

Question about fireworks... I know I saw part of my question awhile back, but can’t seem to find it. Can you see any fireworks from any of the YC rooms (we are book std view CL). I know you can see from the bridge. For the HS fireworks can you see them from the boats to/from HS? Thanks.
