Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

You didn't miss anything! I was perusing the info links on page 1and clicked through to this link when reading about SAB: http://www.disboards.com/threads/th...q-may-sept-2014.3277682/page-21#post-51529974

Oh yes... I think I remember reading this awhile back- hilarious! We were just in Turks & Caicos a few months ago and I've never seen so many chair piggies. My son actually came down for the flu and I just wanted one chair for him to lay and take a rest and it was a battlefield! Apparently the chatter is that you have to get up at 6am to "reserve" chairs but I don't constitute a hotel as reserving a chair if you aren't going to be in it for hours!

OMG I just got anxiety reading about this. I'm glad someone was able to get it for you.

It does not sound very convenient to ship stuff to a resort????? anyone else have any experience Im not sure what to do.

we decided to rent a car maybe I am better off going to store first before we get on property?????

Did you try reaching out to Garden Grocer? They do have the ability, I believe, to get things other than what is on their website. I have had excellent customer service with them.
I hesitate to ship directly to the resort after my experience.
Good Luck

The Contemporary is also a convention center resort, but I had success a few years ago shipping supplies (diapers and wipes) to myself there via USPS instead of UPS. It was more expensive to ship, but went right to the front desk.

Last September we shipped a package from home to BWI. We arrived on a Sunday and the convention center was closed. A VERY NICE bell hop offered to go retrieve our package and delivered it to our room. No charge but we did tip him well for his efforts.

As always, we will try to keep an eye out for you. Anyone seeing that FP is posted for Frozen (Ride and or Princess meet and greet) or the new Soarin ride please feel free to post o this list and also Private Message helenb from the Dis Boards mailbox feature.

And they announced that Soarin' will open with the new movie June 17, and that FP+ will be available for booking tonight! This is perfect, as we arrive June 20 and our 60 day window opens this evening. One FP+ that I can deal with relatively easily. Yay!

Now I just have to stake out those Frozen FP+....

Morning SAB peeps! Just saw on FB that Soarin' FP will be opening up tomorrow and the ride is scheduled to open on June 17th. I hope that's the truth and everyone gets a spot!! Good luck friends!

Apologies for posting this before I finished my coffee!

So excited about this! We arrive on June 18th. I'll hopefully be able to get a FP+ for it tomorrow.

Thank you! I figured I put a request in thru them... Why not? LOL I already have my requests noted on my reservation too, plus we are actually staying at the BCV for the a night an then transferring over to the BC for a week so I figured that morning I just go down to the front desk and ask them if they can please meet my requests. Fingers crossed.
We used them last August at the Poly. We got the building we wanted, same side, same view, but one floor down. We are trying again for this August trip

Showing the opening June17th but FP's still aren't available........ I guess DIS will be the best place to find out when it does go 'live'.

I blame Disney IT. Such a glitch system. With so many announcements yesterday, and then the whole Free Dining thing on Monday., maybe it overwhelmed itself :/ Best of luck!

FWIW (from the DIS) -

Epcot’s Frozen Ever After attraction to open in June:

Walt Disney World has announced that its new Frozen Ever After attraction and Royal Sommerhus meet and greet will open at Epcot in June.

Guests will board a boat and travel through Arendelle during the “Winter in Summer” day that Queen Elsa has created using her magical powers. Guests will also get a glimpse of the Troll Valley and Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace, then return to the bay of Arendelle.

Once on dry land, guests can meet Anna and Elsa in their summer home, a Norwegian-inspired countryside cabin.

The original cast of “Frozen” has returned to record new dialogue and songs for the attraction written by composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Anyone else think this reads like the ride and meet & greet are one attraction? It's the "once on dry land" part that has me scratching my head.... :confused3

I also think it reads that way. Maybe a meet and greet area in the old movie area at the conclusion of the ride? Just a thought.
I would LOVE if this were true, as that means only using 1 FP (and surely it will be Tier 1!!) to get both, but I'm sure there will be people that will only want to do one or the other?

Last October I had an oxygen concentrator Fed Ex'd to the BC. It was delivered to the Convention Center receiving area. We arrived on a Saturday about 10 A and the Convention Center was closed for the weekend. After much panic, a supervisor was located that found my medical equipment, but it was neither easy nor convenient. I am not sure of the hours, but I was under the impression it is not always open on weekends. I would check the official web site.
So both YC and BC packages go to the convention center? That is so odd. My friend stayed at BC in November, had a package delivered and she said it was waiting for them at the front desk when they arrived. She made a box up herself, filled with things and shipped it to the resort with her reservation on it. Could that be why? We asked her about it because we were thinking of doing this since we'll have an 18 month old with us in September. We decided to just pack some things in an extra suitcase since we are flying Southwest.
