Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Hi, you can remove my name from the June list. Kids and DH decided they really wanted to be at the Poly so we booked that. One day we'll get to the BC. :) Thanks for all the wonderful information.

Just got home but.......add us to the Be Our Guest list 10/5/17-10/14/17 BCV Studio:yay::yay::yay:

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

No better way to get over the Disney blues than to have a new trip to plan for!

:woohoo:

Doing a little happy dance - we are officially booked for a week BC CL at the end of June! :-) Can't wait to go back!

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:cool1:

Does anyone have a recent vlog of the Beach Club? We've been trying to work out where the garden view rooms are when you walk from the lobby area. Any BC resort videos from the last month would be great:thanks:

We are hoping to be allocated a room well away from the lobby area. I don't mind even being closer to the quiet pool. I'm not a huge fan of the smell of cooked shellfish or large noisy areas in hotels and prefer some peace and quiet after being in the parks. We realise it's not always possible to get a room with a full balcony or a day bed but the full balcony would be appreciated. I'm crossing my fingers for a room close to Epcot with a view of Spaceship Earth or one of the buildings on WS.

Been looking into flight prices for next October and realised we need to wait another few weeks. Darn my keenness to be back in my happy place. It's still good to know we are going back again. Already dreaming of Joffrey's Coffee and Hot Chocolate and a few pastries enjoyed out on a balcony and Sunken Treasures down at the pool ;)

I don't take videos, so I can't help you there.

If you take a peek at the room map (I think in Post 8), you will see where the BC GV rooms are located.

Your best bet may be to request something like "Room in EPCOT wing/away from lobby, please. Full balcony if possible" Some of the GV rooms that would fit this description are rooms overlooking the volleyball courtyard or the woods view rooms very close to EPCOT and the secret exit/entrance (Room 1501)

:thumbsup2

Will do!

Thanks for letting us know. Have a fantastic trip!

Yesterday, DH says, "Let's just go to Disney right now." Of course, he was only dreaming a bit, but I beamed at the idea. Then he adds, "When I retire in 15 years, we will be sitting in the living room and we'll say "Let's go to Disney, and we can pick up and leave right that minute. We can do that all the time."

My soulmate. :lovestruc

BTW, loving all the disney luggage. I may need to go shopping!

Hee hee, this sounds exactly like my hubby! Isn't it fun? :lovestruc

:welcome: to the thread!

When is your trip?

My understanding is that the room assigners at most of the resorts (with the exception of POR), do not pay attention to the faxes that are sent in.

I think your best bet is to call in your request by phone to the Central Reservations Office and to have your friends do the same. If you have booked through a travel agent, they will need to call to add the request to your reservation.

You probably want to say something like: "Room near "Goofy" family, checking in on XX/XX/XX", please.

:goodvibes
We check in on November 27 and depart December 4th.

Popping in with some news for my favorite resort thread shhhh don't tell the other threads I said that ;)

Per tikiman club level planning services are centralized to a call center to save costs. So when you call or email the person won't be actually stationed at the resort but rather a call center just like any other guest calling in with trip planning needs and questions.

Hi Dee

I have our dates for the BOG list--we will be at the BC from July 14th to July 22nd. Thanks! :)

Got it!

Thanks!

Quick question: Is the arcade still open?

Great question! I'm not sure. I know that when I asked a couple of weeks ago about the poolside shower room, I was told some things in/near the arcade were being moved. Anyone there now who can check it out?

:thumbsup2

ETA: @PCFriar80 looks like we were posting at the same time again. Thanks for your response!

Thanks for sharing the news.

That is not great news for the CMs who have been doing that job or the guests who are using club level services.

:sad2:

Yes I am bummed out by this... just emailed yesterday to note my mom is gluten free. Got a canned email back from YC. I guess I will be calling later!

Okay, it's really on now. One week until we check into YC. Unfortunately, I'm flying out on Friday for business and then meeting the wife & kids at the airport when they land on Tuesday. So much to do before I take off in three days. Made the grocery order last night, MDE tags haven't arrived, so I had to call them and figure that out, need to pack for my business trip and Disney, need to get everything ready for the wife to pack, clean the house for the dog sitter.....Deep breaths.

We leave in four days and I'm sick as a dog... Cross your fingers for me for a speedy recovery and that my husband and daughter don't catch it! :crazy2:  :(

Okay all, I'm looking at the weather and trying to determine packing for the kids. We've never done November before. My beloved little terrorists are 4 and 2, and I'm trying to figure out shorts, pants, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or all of the above. Any guidance?
