;) Now that the Yacht Club refurbishment has started I NEED to know when the next Beach Club refurbishment will start. I know THEY JUST FINISHED THE BEACH CLUB REFURBISHMENT but the inside of the closet of my BC room was looking a tiny little bit "dated" during my stay in September and I don't want to pay all that money to stay at the Beach Club and have the inside of the closet not looking in tip top shape.

Is there a time line for the completion of the NEXT Beach Club refurbishment? Will this cover the entire room or just the outdated interior closets? Is there a mock up of the new closet so I can see it and decide if I want to spend the big bucks to put down a deposit on a room reservation? What kind of shape are the closets in Club Level in? Are there even any closets in Club Level? I would hate to think that the closets in Club Level are in crappy condition, especially since I am paying all that money, but I have to be sure since we all know how quickly a resort refurbishment can become tired and dated, especially in the all important closet area.

In my next post asking for the "in the distant future" Beach Club refurbishment updates and time lines, I'll inquire about the resort hallway window sills. What kind of shape are THEY in? Are they in need of refurbishment because I pay a lot of money to stay at the resort and if the windowsills are not fashionable then I am sending all my money to Universal. ;)

Love it!!!

I'm excited to hear that they have started the YC refurb. We are looking forward to our first stay there next March and would love to have a newly reno'd room. Even if we don't we will still be thrilled to be back in our happy place!

The new BC closets are amazing. In fact, I'm planning to redo our master bedroom closets at home using the new Disney Closet packages now found on Shop Parks. Trying to decide now what kind of closets I want: BC, GF, AKV, Poly, etc. I'm just sorry we couldn't afford the Disney Home Makeover package, but the charge for converting access to our home via our Magic Bands was going to be cost prohibitive - especially when you factor in installing all those light-up MB touch points and add in the finger scanner.

The Yacht Club refurb started this morning. The Regatta Club has moved down to the Presidential suite for the next 3 months. We had a wonderful stay. I think it is beautiful just the way it is!

Where is the Presidential suite from the Regatta Club?

You have the best sense of humor!!!!!:laughing::laughing:

can anyone tell me what the small building is near the Villa quiet pool? Is it bathrooms, community hall type place with Ping pong , pool table? We are staying in a studio and will be spending lots of time by that pool, thanks!

It is bathrooms. There is no Community Hall at BCV

we will be in a studio april 15-22nd. What do you suggest to request for floor?

Requests at BCV are not really anything special. There aren't any special views. We just request higher floor. We have never been disappointed and we have been all over the building. BCV runs over 95% capacity year round, so requests truly are the luck of the draw.

I'm sorry, but the resort has not released the schedule of the next BC refurbishment. As soon as we have credible information about anticipated start date, I will put it on Page 1 of this thread. Keep checking back here for the next several years for the latest (or earliest) info.

There are a couple of community rooms in the lobby area of the BCV which sort of serve the same purpose as a Community Hall. In these rooms is an assortment of seating (Sofas and club chairs) and a POOL TABLE! I highly recommend stopping by this area, especially if you have kids, as this would be a relaxing place for the parents to watch as the kids try their hand at pool. This area is open to the public and not just limited to BCV guests so check it out. Another good use for this area is if you need something to do with the kids and it's raining and the pool is closed. Be sure to keep it in mind as it is a hidden +Plus+ area of the resort.

The ping pong table at the BC/YC/BCV resort was located outside near the lake around the Storm Along Bay slide entrance the last time I saw it. I know I was surprised to see it there as it was sort of hidden away. Sometimes I wonder if that thing has legs and it wanders around the resort at night, popping up in different places.

I KNOW!! Right.... I got a quote from a contractor to put in one of those magic band touch points in my bedroom closet so I could toss out all of my husband's stuff and just use the entire space for my stuff. Well the contractor's prices were insane so I didn't even ask about a BC closet refurbishment estimate. So far the only Disney Home Make over project I can afford is that 5 dollar, plastic, Mickey Mouse head, Halloween treat bucket that I smashed on to my front door light. Since it only cost $5 bucks I'm not sure it was entirely "Disney Home Make over project " LEGAL and I keep waiting for lawyers dressed in character costumes to ring my doorbell and present me with a cease and desist order.

I thought the BC already had been refurbished here lately?

Boy, that sure happened quietly- has anyone with an upcoming YC CL stay received any correspondence from the resort about the renovation?

:thumbsup2

I second the thanks for the info!! Although I'm not sure if I am excited about it or not yet! We are booked in a garden view clubt room Dec 16- 19; no notice from YC about any upcoming resort work yet. I realize we won't be among the first notified as we are still 2 months away. So it might take them a few days/ week s to notify everyone. I just hope they don't close the floor while we're scheduled to be there. We have a split stay with Contemporary Resort from Dec 12-16. Our plans & adrs are set; I'm making our fastpass selections tomorrow night. We have lots of DS & Epcot plans those 3 nights we're scheduled to be at YC.

I did check the room availability on the WDW website just now-- they are still showing club level rooms available for my dates. This is the week before Christmas, so maybe they won't close the floor til after the holidays?? I can't imagine they would close down their most expensive rooms & make people move over the holidays. Anyway, I hope they wouldn't!

How much do you think it would be to switch my car to magic band accessible? :rolleyes1

Ugh, 3 months. We're there in 2 months. Have a garden view booked, which I think are closer to the lounge. Hope we won't hear pounding & drilling all day.

On the other hand, this is probably the only time we'll get to see the Presiential Suite! :goodvibes
Maybe they will get it done sooner! They did have absolutely everything this morning that they had at the Regatta Club, so you won't miss out on items. The view is beautiful- we sat out on the balcony this morning.

Thanks! Love the thread and the info on it. I don't post on it usually, but this is our 3rd year at Beach/yacht so I have watched it a long time! I heard some CMs talking about it 2 days ago-they said the actual work starts Monday We got a flyer in our room yesterday and watched them moving tables as we came in last night. This morning everything was in a different place! Only thing missing was the cartoon TV and DD didn't like that much. Only thing I would say, is room 5151 is probably not the best place right now. It is a fantastic room with a great view and terrific view of fireworks and we loved it all week, but they are staging for the lounge there since the move and the door was slamming into the stopper constantly as they went in and out to the point I woke up this morning wondering why fireworks were going off. No big deal for us since we were leaving, but I would not have wanted to hear that for a week. We let them know, so maybe they will try to figure something out.

Where is the Presidential suite from the Regatta Club?

:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

Just down the hall and around the corner- not far. Room 5157 I think.

so what to expect from refurb if we'll be at YC next month? not much disturbance, right?
we have a garden view and I *think* I want to request the ground floor, close to lobby but I've only stayed at BC before
