Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Hey all, stayed at Beach Club earlier this year and loved it, trying out Yacht Club in September. Have a resort view. Would like to be as close to the lobby as possible. Am I best to book a ground level room, or are the rooms on 2nd floor, 3rd floor, etc, closer? (obviously with an elevator ride included, or stairs)

Thanks!
I would request a room close to the gazebo. That will include rooms that are close to the main elevator. A ground floor room request won't give you what you want, since ground floor rooms are spread all over the resort.

You can’t specifically book a ground floor room. Make “Close to the Lobby” your request. Some rooms on every floor can be a long walk. And some rooms on every floor are close to the lobby via the elevators. So if that’s your priority, just request that.

Does BC have all night room service? Our flight has been delayed all day . We probably won’t arrive at the resort until midnight and we are starving already! Had to cancel Morimoto. Bummer.

No, unfortunately they don't have room service at all. Only at the Grand Floridian

I've never done that personally, but I have read where others have ordered thru Door Dash and Uber Eats.
Thank you! I guess that’s what we will have to do. Or just go to sleep hungry .. probably a better idea.

The Dolphin resort is a short walk from the BC and on its lower level the Picabu restuarant is open 24 hours. Hower, between 1 AM and 6:30 AM only pre-packaged grab and go food is available.

Question about the pool: we are doing the pre check in, arriving on a Thursday. We plan to hang out at the pool, eat at B&C, and go to the Hollywood Studios After Hours event. I've been reading about wrist bands that are required to enter the pool area. Will our magic bands be good enough or will we have to go to the lobby and get a wrist band? Thanks!

Your Magic Bands are all you need. They’ll be scanned when you enter SAB & the CM there will put your pool band on. Every member of your party has to get their own band scanned. There is a big rest room near Beaches & Cream that’s good for changing & lockers at the pool, if your room isn’t ready.

They’ve never scanned all of us. They scan one of us, ask how many of us there are (I assume to make sure it matches the info they have), and then give us all the pool bands. After one of the kids lost (and then luckily found) their Magicband in the sand at the bottom of the pool, we started just having one of the adults wear theirs and everyone else leaves theirs in the room when we go to the pool.

Is that back to being 24/7? Last year it was not, and my family was very disappointed.

That hasn’t been my experience, but I don’t have little kids with me. I thought they still had this sig there too
