ERIKA - you do have a Very Very nice CL thread....that I don't visit because it makes me want to call and change my reservation :worship: and then DH would give me that look.....you know the look I'm talking about....the "no need for CL when we are eating so many sit down restaurants" look. !!!!!

I am VERY suggestible, the CL thread KILLS me ;)

Take my word and don't "try" to go...................GO!!! Love those pancakes!!!
I actually booked and cancelled O'Hana's breakfast yesterday. DH and I did it, but he really wants to do Cape May....a Kona breakfast....rave reviews, let me check my MK days :)

I'm already worried about having too much food on the regular dining plan! LOL! I don't think we'll even use all our QS credits!!

Have a question, hope I'm not bombarded with this one, you all seem so sweet I'll try you first. We were able to do our FP+ 2 1/2 weeks ago. We started with the last day to get E & A. When we looked it was available, but when finished it did not show up, so we moved to another day, which we got. Now two weeks later, the FP+ shows up on the first day also, we don't want two. I know a few pages back there where two people looking for 9/9, this is for 9/8.

So question
1) can I try to set it up with someone, like you do with dining?
2) do I just wait till we get there at cl and tell them to change it, then they can give it to someone looking?
3) or just drop it, does it show back up in system for someone else?

Narebenma, thanks for the warm welcome! :)

We do split trips when we visit DW, hence my board name. It's our 35th Anniversary, but since it falls on Thanksgiving this year we'll be coming down early to celebrate. Nov 8th-12th we're booked at the Yacht Club. Debating on whether to switch over to BC since I'm worried they may be renovating Yacht by then. Haven't heard much about YC so I'm holding off so far. Husband likes to sleep in a little on vacation and was annoyed when he couldn't do so during another resort renovation. Don't want a repeat of part time grumpy. lol Second resort we'll be staying is Contemporary. This is the first time we're staying in the BC/YC area. Everyone has me excited since they seem to like it so much and it looks beautiful.

Catho72 & SRUAimn have fantastic trips. SRUA, thank you for the photos you posted. Looks lovely!

Edit: Contemporary stay is Nov 12th-16th.
Just noticed there's only one T in my Splitter name. Oh well. Could be worse, could say Spitter. haha

LOL.

Tarak- you are so right. It can happen in an instant. We had so any adults watching the pool at our party and I truly believe it was a miracle that my son saw the boy at the bottom of the pool and pulled him up. It wS a "blind spot" from the sun. It wS a miracle that s cardiac care nurse was there to start CPR. HE HAD NO PULSE AND WAS BARELY BREATHING. It was a miracle that after being in a coma for 24 hours we woke up without any long lasting damage

We know how easily it could have gone the other way. The police detective kept telling us - you did everything right but accidents happen every day. Still. DH sand I felt like we were ready for a breakdown from the guilt

I wonder with all those assigning blame, didn't they ever lose track of their child for a few heart pounding minutes?

Wow - I can only imagine how awful that must have been for you.

My mom lost track of my middle kid when we were at AKL once. Teagan was about four. It didn't take long to find her, but my poor mom was frantic. For the rest of the trip, she insisted we hold hands whenever we were in a crowded section of the park. It got a bit silly after awhile.

Beth06015, I think you're right. People want to believe those bad things can't happen because they would never do XYZ. But accidents do happen all the time and sometimes they truly are just horrible and tragic accidents.

Poly :) Kona breakfast right peeps?? (One day I'll try them...if I ever stop changing from Poly....)

LOL, we switched from the Poly to WL because I was worried about the construction. Based on what I'm seeing from Tikiman's FB page, I made the right call. From the folks who are getting the "cherry picker view," to the people whose patios have been locked by the resort and made inaccessible so they can move in the equipment to dismantle the quiet pool, I'd say the Poly might not be the most relaxing place if you like to spend time at the resort. I still have a 10 am ADR for 'Ohana, so I'll be sure to check out the resort and see how things look while we're there.

30 days before we start our trip. We're staying at a Marriot by BWI the night before we fly. We can park the car there for up to 14 days free-of-charge, and they have a free Shuttle that runs to the airport. I'm still debating canceling the Marriot stay. We still have to get up at the crack of dawn to leave for our flight and I'd rather be in my own bed. On the other hand, I'm using hotel points from my credit card for the stay, so it's not costing me anything. Amara seems to think we'll be doing some sightseeing while we're there. At the BWI Marriot? Not likely.

Tarak- we've done it both ways and I really think staying at the Airport Hotel is the way to go. No stressing about traffics, no last minute anything

We always stayed at the Hilton Philadelphia Airport hotel but they switched to a Foubletree and changed the occupant to 4 from 5. So this year we are trying the Embassy Suites Airport hotel. That 5 in the room is so elusive at hotels!

I think there was a thread over in the theme parks subforum specifically for A&E for folks to post when they were canceling. I'll see if I can find it.

I guess that's one upside of no longer having a DH :rotfl2:

OK, I spit my coffee out on this one!!! I laughed....but then I was sad too. I didn't know this happened?? Or has it always been this way that I've known you??? No wonder it's been just you and the boys in the pics lately?

I'm already worried about having too much food on the regular dining plan! LOL! I don't think we'll even use all our QS credits!!

quick fix.................buy ME some treats and mail them to me :rolleyes1

I KNOW we have too many ADRs with CL. Problem is I can't decide which ones to cancel!

which ones are on the fence???

What about heading over to boardwalk before you leave and stocking up on sandwiches and desserts? Way better than airport food or fast food. You could bring a few soft insulated bags from home to stuff it all in. ;)

Looks like it's been confirmed that the BCV refurb has been delayed and there are currently no new dates for when the refurb will begin :(
http://www.disboards.com/threads/bcv-update.3429303/

A little disappointing since I was hoping to stay in a newly refurbed 1 bedroom villa for my honeymoon in April. So to my Disney pros out there, what would you do in my situation? Currently have a garden view at the YC booked for April 2016 for my honeymoon. When spring discounts come out in December we hope to be able to get a discounted room at the YC, BC or BCV. I've never been to Disney, she has never stayed at the YC/BC/BCV. What would you all suggest would be a better choice? A refurbed room at either the YC or BC? Or a 1 bedroom villa at the BCV? Like i've said previously in this thread our reason for wanting the 1 bedroom villa is because the larger walk-in shower, jacuzzi and larger space overall seemed more honeymoon-like. Would you all suggest though that a nicer refurbed room would out weigh these benefits for a honeymoon?

For a honeymoon, my first choice would be the newly refurbed vice presidential suite at the BC. Second choice would be club level at the BC. Third would be a guaranteed " new" room at the BC. Just my choices. If refurb was done, then a one bedroom villa at BCV would be a nice choice too. Just remember ... Unless refurb is totally done at a resort, there is no guarantee you would get a refurbed room.

Teena: Have you and Bob decided on the date of your next cruise? Is it in September?

A vice presidential suite may be a little out of our price range haha! :D I've run the math on all of our options and I believe with a spring discount club level comes into our price range. We are staying for 10 nights and while we want to do something nice we don't want to completely break the bank. So we are trying to say on a bit of a budget.

I would think a club level room would be a wonderful honeymoon treat. :)

Personally, I'd pick a club level room for a honeymoon. If you want more space, look into the deluxe CL rooms -- I know they are larger than the regular rooms.
