Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Thanks so much! We are going to order alcohol and snacks and DH will happily wait for the delivery. Very easy if they pull up to the front of the resort.
Make sure your husband has his photo ID with him because they will check it and take a picture of it. I made the mistake of meeting Amazon Fresh from the pool and didn’t have mine with me and had to walk all the way back and get it.

View from our YC room this week. I put in a request and got exactly what we wanted. Thanks to those who nudged us to upgrade to WV room; it was absolutely worth the upgrade.

Sadly, our stay has ended at YC. The YC ranks near the top for me. The location is stellar. The transportation is ridiculously easy to use. The food and theming at A&C lounge and Yachtsman were excellent (I'll do a food review later with pics). The lobby is uber relaxing. SAB pool is property leading. We'll be back for sure.

I agree. We stayed there in 2021. Last year, I rented points at the Poly. It was lovely and I am glad to cross it and a monorail resort off my wish list, but I realized I much prefer the Epcot area resorts. Sadly, because of the pool closure next year, we’ve opted to not stay at Yacht next year. I rented points at Boardwalk instead. Again, it has long been on my wish list, so I’m sure I’ll love it. But we’ll be back at Yacht or Beach eventually.

We stay at the BWV mostly when it’s just me and my wife and we love it there. BCV for family trips because of the pool for our grandchildren. The Polynesian was our bucket list place to stay and we did in 2019 and felt the same way you did. While it was nice we much prefer the BW and BCV because of their location and proximity to so much to do.

I’m sure you’ll really enjoy the BW!!

Thanks! I truly don’t regret our Poly stay. It is beautiful and I was happy for the opportunity and the experience. I just really love the vibe of the Epcot resorts and being so close to Epcot and Studios.

I am really discouraged by the fact that I can spend 7 nights on the DCL Fantasy for $3,000 less than getting a room at the YC and a four-day park hopper pass. Note this doesn't include any food at WDW while the feasting on the ship is fantastic. Come on Josh D'Amaro, don't raise the price of the cruise and force us to choose another cruise line, just reduce the price of a stay at the YC so that it is reasonable once again for us mid-western folks who can only afford to visit the World on an infrequent basis.

You have to be on the look out for deals. We just cancelled a split stay between POR and the Swan as the Yacht Club popped up at $350 a night.

Just want to confirm that Cabanas are still 60+10 days for booking via phone? I believe phones open at 7 am est still?
Yes, they are 60+10. I do think it's 7 AM for phones and 6 AM for the things you can do yourself online, like dining. You're going to want to call as soon as you can. I recently did this for a 60+8. I wanted two cabana days and was flexible with the dates but I only ended up being able to get one day, for our final full day. I would have preferred one day early in the trip and the other more in the middle, but it wasn't possible.

Friends, what has been the recent situation with breakfast at Ale & Compass. Do you still pretty much need ADRs for breakfast there?

I don't know if you need reservations, but it was easy to get last minute reservations for breakfast when we were there in April. I prefer to make a last minute reservation rather than do a walk in, if possible.

EDIT: Looking back at my notes just now and I see that for cabanas the phone line opens at 6 AM. The number to call is 407-939-7529. This is the number for recreation and tours.
Sorry, but unless they changed things recently, the 407-WDW-PLAY phone lines open at 7AM ET.
