Candlelight Processional 2024

Had a lovely lunch at Le Creperie de Paris! You get the prix fixe option which includes a soup or salad, galette, dessert crepe, and hard cider or soft drink. Service was very friendly and well paced, though way too much food!

We got in line at 3:45 for the 5:00. Due to the light sprinkling everyone was pretty spread out due to umbrellas. We were initially directly across from the red gate in Japan but eventually scooted forward to across from the pagoda.

Scooters and wheelchairs started going in at 4:20 and dining packages started going in at 4:23. We were maybe 100 people back? There were plenty of spots in the covered section still. The entire right side of the theater that is covered was roped off (VIP tours?) but plenty of seating on the left side, a bit obstructed for the narrator.

We decided on front row by the percussion! May not have the best view of Josh once the orchestra is seated but didn’t want to risk sitting further back in the uncovered section. We could have sat very centered if we were okay with being uncovered. No umbrellas allowed!

I’m not sure what time standby started filling in but before 4:40 for sure.

I'll be doing La Creperie on the 5th (this Thursday), but I have it for breakfast at 9:10. I was hoping to eat light. Were your required to take the Prix Fixe menu or could you have ordered off the regular menu?

Did you arrive over an hour early just because you wanted to or is it necessary to arrive that early even though you've purchased the package?

You could always order less, we actually had some confusion with our waiter due to the language barrier but it sounded like he was telling us we could order either 2 or 3 items (to which we thought why would we only order 2 if it costs the same as 3 )

But I don’t think there’s anything on the regular menu that isn’t part of the prix fixe (besides drinks) so unless you mean ordering like a salad and soup only, I’m not sure it’d be possible, our CM spoke somewhat limited English so that may be tricky. Maybe they’d let you order from the kids prix fixe which would be smaller portions (but more limited options)? But otherwise I’m sure you could always just ask to skip a course.

We arrived early because we wanted to guarantee covered seating. Only the first few rows are covered. I would recommend 30 minutes early at the latest as they will have started seating the dining packages no matter what showtime by then, and you won’t have to stand in line at that point.

I would also add it was nice and cozy in the covered section despite it being a windy/drizzly/50F evening. As we walked out to leave we felt the non covered rows must have been freezing in comparison as they weren’t protected from the wind. It looked like the stage had little heaters all over so some of that residual heat probably kept the first few rows pleasantly warm. Something to consider for cooler evenings!
