The boat ride to CR from WL takes about 5 minutes. The boats run approximately 20 minutes apart.

The MK bus is direct and doesn't stop at the Contemporary but the Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs buses stop at CR after picking up at WL. I just don't know how early they run. The Epcot bus goes to Fort Wilderness so don't get on that one.

Last year after dinner at Whispering Canyon, we definitely stopped at Fort Wilderness before heading back to Magic Kingdom. It wasn't a direct route. Don't know if it depends on the time of day, but might be a consideration in how long it takes to get around!

That happened to us last January after dinner at WCC. And we were in a hurry, too, to see Wishes. But I don't think that is the normal route. It might just be a Hoop Dee Doo route.

Sometimes the boat will go to Fort Wilderness first, so I would make sure I was at the boat dock before 7am.

That should work fine, but I might give 30 min to be sure and cover walking time from the CR dock. Be aware that the first boat to arrive may be going the other way, so you'd have the longer ride with the stop at FW first, but you wouldn't have to wait as long for it, or you could wait for the next boat and have it be the quick 5min (or less) trip.

There are two boats, one for Fort Wilderness and the Contempory resort (blue flag) and one for the Magic Kingdom (red flag). The resort boat (blue flag) starts earlier at 6:55am.

We have been twice in late January and wore shorts the whole time (expect at night). Temps were probably around 75-80 our whole trip. It was perfect! Just wanted you to know that you could get warm weather in January.

I don't have an August events calendar, but the movies have been moved inside due to the beach construction and are in the train too in the villas.

We made our last payment today, so we are officially paid in full for our September trip. We can't wait!

The hyperlink to the Activity Calendar is at the bottom of POST 1, however, as of right now, they still have July up, but keep checking for August. The new month usually gets posted a few days into the month.

Wow, that's cool! We hadn't noticed your September trip plans. You should love the low crowds that time of year, I know you've been anticipating it. With that much overlap it would be neat to meet up sometime. We will do a PTR post today too, we've just been super busy. We can't wait for the trip though, and now it is next month!
