I've continued checking and it looks like several weeks in Nov and Dec are totally blocked off still at WL(nothing available)...One of my friends is a TA and thinks this is due to preparation for the winter RO if it actually comes out....meanwhile we are looking at Feb just in case...I just wish Southwest flew out of Newark because the changes fees are killing us!

Anyone else notice this? We already made the decision to not stay at GF since our hearts are set on WL.

Well, my WL CL 8/24 date is getting closer. Tweaking my ADR's and FP's,but it's mostly done. We always try to do a few " firsts" on each trip. So we're signed up for the Star Wars dessert party,Frozen ride,Jiko wine tasting, Tiffins restaurant and Jungle Book show....maybe a few other things. For the first time,we've built in hanging at the Resort time and are looking forward to using the pool for the first time- wish I could bring my floaty seat( a mesh seat is attached to a foam noodle that turns it into a seat). Maybe we'll try for Flag Family again...the first time we did it was truly magical.
I will try to send back daily trip reports. Can you point me in the direction of the post of how to download pictures? I'll print it out to use as a reference,as I'm terribly technically challenged.
Have not started to pack yet,but getting excited.

RO discount came out this morning... unfortunately, WL isn't included in the offer as of 6:50 this morning. Hoping some more rooms open up.

Called and spoke with a CM and she confirmed no availability for WL. The resort isn't blacked out in terms of specifically being excluded, but there is no availability.

Unfortunately, there were only 8 resorts with availability. I'm hoping as people shuffle things around to pick up offers at other resorts, that it will open things up to some other resorts that are currently booked up. Good Luck to anyone looking for a discount for Nov - Dec!

I just looked on the Disney website & they state the WL is excluded from the RO promo. Guess I'll be backing up my vacation into October now. I still haven't seen any AP of Florida resident rates for that time yet though.

I know you were just relaying what you were told but, Disney does not remove rooms from inventory in preparation for discounts. Their goal is to sell as many rooms at rack rate as possible so it would be counterproductive to remove rooms from availability at rack rate.

Yes, the RO came out today and WL was unavailable for even rack rate for check in dates from Dec 1 (I was checking 6 nights) all the way through Dec 9th - ironically, the day after we are supposed to check in. So we are rebooking for Feb 4-10 WL - it's a less expensive time anyway..just too bad we are losing the air.

I was looking at the dates of 11/7-11/10 and just put in all hotel rooms and under the prices for WL it said not included in the promotion.

I got the same message when I searched Dec 8-14...it's not blacked out or excluded, there are just no rooms (as of now but who knows if it will change).

10/29 - 11/2 Got WL for $251 a night, that offer, as of a few minutes ago, is still up. Back to school savings.

It was $209 on July 22- we switched over from a preferred room at POR because of the rate- couldn't pass that up!

With inventory taken out for construction and folks booking WL early for the holidays not surprised not much left.
As said, it's not completely off the lists and rooms may become available as folk cancel/change plans. I just saw could book a bunkbed courtyard room 11/16-18 for $341 avg/night; 11/17 standard for $261 (11/17-11/19 $275 avg/night) and courtyard for $298 (11/17-11/19 $313 avg/night). Trying for 3 days in a row in that week wasn't successful.

No call 407-824-3200 is the number to call. You must be within your 10 day window of arrival.

Just so no one is confused, while this is the phone number for the "front desk of WL/VWL," calls to this number are not answered at WL/VWL, however, they can directly route calls.

Actually you can make room requests any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out.

This is correct as the Room Assignor will usually start playing room assignment Tetris about 2-4 days prior to arrival.

Yes you can make room requests online and with your TA, but to call this number and make specific requests your arrival date must be within 10 days. I was told on multiple occasions, but if you don't believe me call the number for yourself.

The relevance of the 10-day point is that is approximately when the booking is dropped into the resort's reservation system and is usually the earliest the resort can "see" the reservation. The onsite resort's Room Assignor handles the reservation about 2-5 days prior to arrival.
