Disney's Vero Beach Resort....

Hi, has anyone stayed at Vero Beach? I was just wondering because me and my family might be staying there fo 3 noights when we go to WDW in October. We haven't decided if we are going to have an Inn room or a 1 bedoroom yet. We would like to have an ocean view when we are there. Does anyone know which building is the best to stay in?

Also what is there to do in the area? We are going to be having a car so the distance shouldn't be a problem.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

i went in 2006 and it was amazing! Made the trip seem longer unless you're getting a holiday home, all the rooms are in the main building.

Things to do include the beach (of course), the pool area (fun slide since it speeds round corners, i nearly flew off it once! But i went up and landed on my stomach... or maybe that was a dream), mini-golf, a camp fire every night, shopping area somewhere, etc. They also give a list of different things to do. There's kayaking down the river (i wish i went on that but i woke up too late ) where you can see dolphins and manatees in their natural habitat, bike trails, scuba diving lessons in the pool and much more.

If you do decide to go, say hi to Erica for me (she's usually around the pool area where you can sign up for things) though since she goes to college, there's a chance she might not be there...

No this is like a couple of hours away from Disney.
I LOVE Vero Beach. You get the beach with Disney. I have never done anything outside of Vero Beach- we usually arent there very long because it is at the end of our trip. We usually stay at a villa or just a regular room- always with a ocean view.. it is the best. Have fun and look for sea turtles!

I've always wanted to stay there. I went to the Hilton Head resort and it was nice, but really boring. Vero Beach looks so nice though. I think we might go there in a few years for summer vacation.

I went there!
We went over the summer of 2006, over the 4th of July.

It was really fun. The beach is so pretty, and the pool is awesome (the slide is so cool!)

We really didn't do that much besides going to the beach and pool though, but still, that was a fun vacation.

Oh, and check to see if there will be any space shuttle launches while you are there, as Cape Canaveral isn't that far away, and you can see it from the beach. While we were there, a shuttle launched on July 4th, and basically the entire resort was out on the beach watching it, soo cool.

Funny thing too, because of the sea turtles, they couldn't set fireworks off for the 4th. So you know what we did? Drove the 2ish hours back to WDW to watch them! haha

Oh, and if you go into the town of Vero Beach, Bono's Barbeque is amazing!
