Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE Resort

Two questions: our trip is 10/1-10/8. Family of 4 traveling with another family of 4. Separately booked but linked through family and friends in MDE. First question is about AB. We strongly prefer the theming in that section and would like to request it but I'm concerned about storage space with the pull down bed. Do all AB rooms have that? And if so any tips on maximizing storage? We are two adults and an 11 and 9 yo.

Thanks everyone!!

My family of five stayed in AB this spring and with some organizing of all of our "stuff," we were able to make do with the limited storage there. I packed the kids clothes in gallon ziplock bags (several of the same item to a bag), then put all of their clothes in the drawers under the pull-down bed, one drawer per kid. I bought one of those hanging shelf things at Walmart for about $5 that hangs over the clothes rod to provide more vertical storage space and put my and my husband's clothes in there. Shoes were all in the corner of the closet area, suitcases were stored by the bed, one inside the other, except for one that I left accessible that had rarely-needed items. It was tight, but it wasn't bad.

Just use the Port Orleans delivery address (see first post) and make sure you add your arrival date after your name (e.g. "Joe Bloggs, guest arrives 5 December").

So I am with my wife and kids at POR during my wife and I's anniversary (Next month). I was thinking of ordering flowers for her and my girls(I have three kids, all girls 12,9,and 7).

But looking at Disney's flower service it is over 100 bucks for some flowers. I am looking at all the flower shops outside the parks, and they are more reasonable, and I don't mind going to the front desk to get them, but has anyone used any of the services?

I don't need it to be in the room when we arrive or anything, so I think I can save a few bucks, and use it on other things. My wife get's mad when I overspend on her, so I try to find the best deals on stuff like flowers and jewelry. :)

Anyway, any suggestions of thoughts would be awesome.

You can always go to Disney Springs or any Disney Park without her knowing and get her a Pandora or Alex and Ani bracelet. if you do not want to over spend you can get your DD's a less expensive bracelet.
You can have them delivered to your hotel they will be none the wiser. You will need to go pick them up,usually in the resort store. Then when they are not in the room wrap them up (will need to bring gift bags from home) and place the gifts somewhere they cn see them when they walk into the room.
Sounds like a lot but I am sure it will be well worth it.
Also, they will always have the bracelets, but the flowers will be hard to take home and care for in the hotel.

Good idea, actually. Thanks!

You can also order beforehand from Disneystore.com or the Disney parks shopping app.

Andre, What upper floor room(s) in Magnolia Terrace would have this view when on the balcony outside the room?

I'm a regular to Disney & in the past in my experience booking Riverside is always more expensive than French Quarter. I've just checked for Jan 2017 & both look to be the same price - any idea why? Just wondering if anyone knows a reason for this?

I changed from POFQ to POR and the price remained the same.

So I booked a garden view room could somebody tell me which possible section these would be in?
Alligator Bayou, Magnolia bend or other "areas" thank you
