I'm not sure any preferred rooms would give you a view of the fireworks.
The rooms with the best view of fireworks would be building 3 or 4, 4th floor closest to the end, lakeview (and these are the most requested rooms)
and all lakeview rooms are standard.
Preferred is going to get you closest to Classic Hall and transportation and it is an easy walk over to the bridge and get a beautiful view of the fireworks.

Thanks for the reply. Out of the preferred buildings which one is closest to a bus stop, food area, and pool? Just trying to keep the distant short for me and my dad

Do all the rooms have mini-fridges or do we need to request one? We had one last time and it was perfect for keeping breakfast snacks so we didn't use DP points before we got to the parks.

All rooms now come with mini fridges so you will not need to request one. Was so happy when they made these standard!

Oh crap!! I just looked at the map on the previous page and we always stay in the 50's section. We always stay there but we have booked preferred pool view. In every conversation with cast members I have requested 50's building one top floor,, I know they are not all possible but now realize preferred pool view is by the Hippitty Dippidity Pool. I would downgrade to get 50's but there would be a change fee....I am so upset...Usually I am such a good planner with our trips.

What should I do??

if you have booked a preferred pool view, the room assignors will have to put you in the 60's because anything less would be a downgrade and they really can't do that when you are paying for the highest priced room at the resort. You could see if you could downgrade but if you have a special such as free dining....there's a good chance you won't be able to change.
My response probably wasn't much help nor probably what you wanted to hear.... :(

Does anyone know if you can get the celebration buttons at check in at Pop? I know some resorts have them but haven't heard if Pop has them also. I'm hoping they do so it will save me time on my first morning in the parks. Thanks!

I've been downgraded twice at WDW. Not by choice though. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask at check in and see if they can do anything for you.

POP had a birthday button for DD in our welcome packet when we were there last year.

Yes they have ALL of the Celebration buttons at the front desk. Just ask if the don't offer it. They gave me an I'm celebrating button that I did not even request! :)

I am sorry if this has been discussed on here. I looked at the facts for Pop and it says we can have 4 adults, plus one infant in the room...

Well, I am trying to just book one night (our arrival) at Pop. It will be me, my DH, DD11, DS3, and DS2. The disney website says we have too many people to be able to stay in the room. I was planning on calling, but I thought I would ask the Pop experts first lol :)

What are some must-have meals, snacks, alcoholic beverages at Pop? I don't want to miss anything good!

Yep. It's a glitch in the online system. You can either call or book the room online with everyone but the baby (the child under 3) and then call and add the baby to the ressie via phone. Just be sure to call and add him/her. Not a big deal, just a little more inconvenient.

You need to call. For some reason the web site has trouble with the under 3 child. But you will technically fit.

Thank You. I called and asked them why no one mentioned they didn't have Preferred Pool View in the 50s section when I asked for that when I booked and paid. I am on the phone with them now. They said they would try to work their pixie dust for me to not pay the change fee. I told them if they can guarantee me that I can get into building one in the 50s section that I would pay it and I would take off the WP&More off as well. I tried to do that the other week and it was going to cost me 10.00 to take it off after I paid the change fee.

Another question....I haven't changed my room category yet, not sure if I will.

If I stay in the preferred pool room category I would stay obviously in the 60s section so during online check in if I request a top floor would that be the only thing I need to request since preferred pool view guarantees me a pool view and preferred guarantees me close to the transportation?

on page 1 of this thread in the picture of the hippitty dippitty pool is that blue building really the classic hall? Is that really how close it is to that section? if so, I might stay there.
