We are staying at the Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows in April in a Deluxe Studio - Standard View. Does anyone have any input into any room requests for this resort as it will be our first time staying there.

I just waitlisted a week ago and got confirmation on Poly April 24-26 Deluxe Studio. First time staying I wont really have any preferences I guess, just cant wait to get there!

Tokelau upper floor!

We could see the castle when turning to the right on the balcony.

But please do not be sad when you get the parking lot view in Pago Pago. There are views at Disney that are much worse than the Poly parking lot!

All studios at the poly have a balcony, even on the 2nd floor, so you do not have to worry about that :-)

Yup, if you get the right room, you actually have a nice view of the fire works :D Even if you don't, Tokelau has views of the court yard and the pool which are lovely. Haven't had the parking lot view yet, but if I get it at some point I'll try to look at it as a "monorail view" LOL

A monorail gliding by is something that even makes a view at the parking lot worth it :-)

When you have seen the "bad room view" topic that was started once on here the Poly parking lot is a very scenic view compared to those "views" other guests presented. Looking against a wall, into a dumpster, on a rotten tree or on A/C power units, the view of parked cars sounds like an upgrade

Be sure to request upper level. We were just at Moorea and were on the first floor. We paid extra points for lake view, all we could see were those bungalows. Lesson learned! There are excellent viewing areas around the lava pool and the beach for fireworks viewing though, and they broadcast the music over there too.
