Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

Does anyone know if they are still selling the Citrus Surfer drink (with the mug) anywhere?

My wife and I are travelling club level in April. I thought I was told when I booked there was Garden View rooms with a King bed + daybed, but Touring Plans says all rooms have 2 queens. Thought I would check here for any personal experiences. Thanks.
Should I make any room requests with DSS?

Touring Plans does some things really well, but accuracy of King beds isn't one of them. That being said, if there are any Kings on the CL GV side (I'm not sure if there are or not) there are very few of them, which is consistent with the other Poly longhouses. I know there was at least one King on the LV side pre-renovation - but not sure on GV... or how the recent renovations may have changed things.

If you want to make King a request (or any other requests), DSS is a good option for CL guests. I've read wait times have been pretty stout recently.

Have fun!

Do the Standard View 2 Queen rooms all have daybeds? The description says “1 King Bed and 1 Day Bed or 2 Queen Beds” but it also says it sleeps up to 5 adults.

This is weird to me because I’ve recently seen a well known Disney blogger promoting doing exactly this.

I wonder if the poster denied asked about "'Ohana [food] to go" rather than the Tambu menu? I haven't investigated because I haven't been there (and the options don't look gluten-friendly), but it may be that you can get stuff on the Tambu menu to go but not 'Ohana food and if you use the wrong word it's a no.

I was told no “to go”

Tambu will serve 'Ohana food, but don't have to-go boxes there to package it up. I think if they started doing that, the poor bartenders would end up doing nothing but packing up to-go orders for people.

When we were there in November, we sat at the bar one night and had noodles, ribs and bread pudding.

I'm thinking you could bring your own to-go containers and package your meal yourself. Tip the wait staff appropriately, of course.

We are staying at the Polynesian this summer for the first time through DVC points. Is there a certain building we should request? We are in a studio. Thanks so much!

Asking for something on the Tambu menu or asking for something from the 'Ohana menu though. That is what I'm unclear about.
I wanted the Ohana noodles and chicken wings.
You can order food from Tambu Lounge. Some
Items are on the menu, some are not. Tambu Lounge has their own menu but also (I can’t remember if these items are on the actual printed menu ) typically has noodles, wings and bread pudding (possibly minus the ice cream). These 3 items are the same prepared for and served at Ohana. If you ask nicely, sometimes you can also get some type of ribs and those are not on the Tambu menu. Sometimes, if you ask nicely, you may be able to take some items to go. Sometimes, maybe, certainly not always nor should be expected. No, there is not a mobile order option for the Tambu Lounge.
Tambu Lounge is a special place and we’ve enjoyed much time there over the years getting to know the bartenders, and the Ohana of the Poly. 🌺

Tokelau, Moorea, & Pago Pago are the DVC Longhouse buildings. Tokelau is closest to the Great Ceremonial House, Pago Pago is closest to TTC (may have a monorail and/or parking lot view) and if you booked the lake view category, you will be in Moorea. Our personal preference is Tokelau 3rd floor
