Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

The studio setup is 1 QS bed, 1 QS Murphy bed and a twin/youth size pull down bed. The second shower is essentially an extra bathroom with no toilet.

My adult son loves the twin size pull down bed. He is about 5’10” tall.

There are some good room tours for this room on YouTube. Just make sure you pick a recent one since the rooms were recently renovated.

Perfect! Thanks for the info!

What time should I be down at the bus stop for an 8 AM Tusker House reservation?

Hi, we’re going in April and staying in a standard room. Two kids, 6 and 9. My understanding is that there will be two beds plus a Murphy/fold out bed right? How have people found sharing a room with kids for multiple nights? As odd as it may sound, we actually haven’t traveled that way before and are a bit nervous about it. Does everyone just crash at the same time I guess? Any issues with getting a full night’s sleep with everyone that close? Would love to hear others’ experiences with this, thanks!!
Also I think I saw somewhere that Poly can do full housekeeping upon request, right? I really want to request this as much as possible because for the price especially, I’d love to return to a clean made up room after a day at the parks.

We have a 5 year old daughter. We’ve been away a few times, most recently a trip this summer (not Disney). Always stayed at a hotel with just the main area and a bathroom. Haven’t had any issues. She stays up pretty late though so we just go to bed around the same time. In the summer we went to Hershey and were tired by the time we returned to the room.

Assuming you're talking about the regular hotel rooms and not DVC studios, the rooms have 2 Queen beds and a couch/day bed. It's not a "pull out" couch, rather it 'flips over' to make a single bed. You can see a pic towards the bottom of the page on this link: https://touringplans.com/blog/first-look-the-beautiful-moana-rooms-at-disneys-polynesian-resort/

As for housekeeping, I don't think any Disney resort will provide full housekeeping on request right now. You may get lucky and have a rogue housekeeper or some pixie dust, but I would keep expectations pretty low, unfortunately. Club Level rooms are getting full daily service, but for non-CL rooms it's every other day light cleaning.

My kids are roughly similar ages to yours and we've stayed in regular Poly hotel-side rooms countless times over the years. While we prefer to have bigger accomodations where possible when we travel, we also don't mind cramming in sometimes. I'd strongly recommend requesting a room with a balcony or patio - DW and I will often hang on the balcony at the end of the evening while the kids get to bed, maybe have a beverage, etc. For the hotel side, second floor rooms do not have a balcony (only a sliding door with Juliet-style railing) - so that's why I strongly recommend making the request (sorry if you already know that). Of course requests are just that and sometimes things don't go your way, but better to increase your odds with the request, IMO.

Hope that helps!
