Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Ugh to the monorail closures. So if I need to get to MK for a pre-park opening 8am adr on Tuesday (when they're all shut down until the resort one comes on at 8:30), what's my best bet? Bus from the ttc?

We stayed at the Poly in February and had to be at the MK by 8:00 for a Keys to the Kingdom tour. The monorail wasn't running, and the park didn't open until 9:00, but they had early park buses at the Poly bus stop. It came almost immediately and stopped at the GF and then went to the MK. It was very easy and not crowded at all!

I haven't had this, but from what I've read it's good! A previous post in this thread had a picture and said that the portion for 1 person is enough for two.

My DH cannot stand the 'entertainment' at 'ohana dinner, so I'm planning on doing the Twilight feast for 1. And I figure if it's not enough food, we can venture out and sample other things at the resort.

It'll save me $40+ dollars, grumbling from DH, stressing out about an ADR and a potential to eat more goodies at the poly!

We just switched our Labor Day week reservation from wilderness to the Poly and are so excited! It will be me and DH, DS 7, DS 5, and DD 2. Decided we just had to have the monorail for a stroller dependent trip.

They will adore the pool I am sure, which is one of our main reasons for choosing Poly, and I'm excited about the bigger rooms.

My 2 year old will be 3 in late october, so the fold down bed will be nice for her as opposed to a pack n play. Do all of the rooms have these or do they only guarantee that if you have an actual party of five (while I technically have a party of four)?

Also, I know the fridge is mini fridge style, would a half gallon of milk fit in there? Maybe laying down? We plan to order some of the to go cartons from garden grocer but my kids are milk fiends would love to keep some cold in the room for them.

Since this will be our first stay at the Polynesian I have dedicated our first day as a resort day. We have a late Ohana breakfast scheduled & the plan has been to do QS for dinner. But now I'm thinking about the in room twilight feast (Ohana dinner room service). Id love some feedback from anyone that has had this.

We did the twilight feast last fall and loved it. It was my husband and I - we ordered for one and had leftovers. Neither of us eat shrimp, so they left that off and sent more of the other meats. Everything was perfectly cooked, and enjoying it on our balcony was a great end to our day!

I have never heard of this! Sounds good, I thought the room service came from Kona? Is this on the room service menu?

Yes, a half gallon would fit, but nothing larger.

Congrats on booking the Poly, you will love it! We've had 2 great stays at the WL and love the resort, but the Poly is just amazing. We love everything about it as it's our favorite resort. The rooms are large and spacious with plenty of room to spread out and all rooms do come with a daybed .

Do it for sure, it's the best! I have it penciled in for two nights for the fall, it was so delicious last time!

What room type did you book?

A Poly Studio Villa will have a queen bed, a sofa bed, and a murphy bed (pull-down). A Poly room (Standard, Lagoon or TPV) will have two queen beds, and a fold-down sofa.

We liked it a lot and it had more items than you even get at ‘Ohana. For sure order for less people than you have and you will still have more than enough. If it is two people order for 1. If you have 4 than an order for 2 would probably be enough.

Yep, it's on the room service menu! I believe it's only available in the evening. You get the bread, salad, noodles & veggies, wings and meats, and bread pudding. I think the only thing missing from the restaurant experience is the noise and the ice cream.

Our fist day will be spent at the resort, and maybe a few hours at Disney Springs. If we don't try eating at the Terrace that evening, it might be the perfect day to try the feast!

Between the twilight feast and the abundance of fruity alcoholic beverages....I'm glad I'm splurging on the poly!

In the video review, the woman said 45 minutes....so I guess allow 45 minutes to an hour before you get your meal.
