Thank you.... the one year old is totally the problem. We also have a super early breakfast at Trattoria al Forno and I have no clue how we're going to get there. I just feel scared at the prospect of not having her in a car seat. I mean, what if we get in a wreck? Crazier things have happened.

Yeah, I hear you.

Maybe I'm just missing something with the really early ADRs but for me that's been the one transportation area that's always been a little grey for me. I wonder if maybe asking on the Transportation Board might find some other options?

For Tratoria, I do like what the PP said about busing to HS and walking over. Resort to resort transportation is sort of a pain any time of the day and requires this sort of creativity. If you can get to MK, you could take a bus from MK to BWI as well.

Good luck!

Does anyone know where the standard rooms are located? I'm hoping that we won't be too far away from everything.

Standard rooms are located in the following longhouses:

Samoa
Niue
Rarotonga
Aotearora
Figi
Tuvalu

The Poly isn't all that spread out, so nothing is really far away. We've stayed in Samoa and thought it was great as it was just steps from the GCH, both pools, Captain Cooks, and the beach. With that said, the Poly is pretty compact (IMO) and while some longhouses are closer to the main areas than others, none of them are far away. For more details of the longhouses (as well as a map of the resort), there is a great description on the first page of this thread, post #5 :).

What is the best resource for checking IRL room views? Like from the actual room windows/balcony of the rooms? TIA

TP is a reasonable start but don't always take it for gospel. Room view pics can be old, trees/plants can grow, etc. Sometimes it'll show a "similar" view to the room you select but it's really quite far down the hall.

Many folks around here might have pics as well.

This is great news! I was worried about being in Moorea or Pago Pago. I have a bad knee, and I do alright as long as I pace myself. I can walk for miles in the parks as long as I get periods of rest which I would like to get at my resort. Thanks so much for the information.

You're welcome :goodvibes.

Moorea and Pago Pago are DVC, so as long as you have a regular room, you won't be in either of those longhouses. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

OK so I was following along on the whole conversation about the monorail not running to Epcot on Mondays until 9. Eek, guess what day we are going to Epcot? :( Ah! Anyway, Uber isn't an option for us (we need a car seat and a booster plus our friends are also staying at Poly and also going to Epcot that day and they need two car seats and a booster. It's just not going to work.

So what is our best bet? We are planning to RD Soarin'. Should we take the earliest possibly bus to HS and boat over to Epcot and come in the back? It sounds like a headache but probably our best option.

Also, it's Labor Day if that matters. Will it run earlier on a holiday?

Great choice! We love Niue! That is our second favorite longhouse (after Hawaii). It is so central to everything and very small and quiet.

Thanks! I saw pictures from someone's trip and it was a good view with some good people watching!

I just read on Facebook (Tikiman) - that changes are coming to room view categories, possibly before September! I know my price won't change but if I requested Fiji (marina view) and they now categorize it as a water view, I'd never get that request anyways!
People are guessing...I bet any standard that right now has a view of water (including pools) will become lagoon/water view, just like Beach/Yacht Club.

So if this happens before October, I either get my Niue request and the view of the GCH entrance towards pool area or....the back of a building or the monorail!

Everyone, let's agree to keep Niue a secret until after my trip. ;)

There will be many Poly guests in the same boat. If the monorail is not running until 9, most likely they will provide a bus to EPCOT.

That delayed start on a Monday isn't always a given, just happens to be what it is this week. It can/will likely change. I'd keep an eye on the Times Guides getting closer to your date and see what the trend looks like. I'm also tempted to think you're likely to see a full schedule given Labor Day, but I'm guessing in that regard.

For example, I was at Poly last week and went to Epcot Monday (7/3), the Epcot line opened at 7:30AM that particular day.

Are the coffee makers the standard double silo Cuisinart that take the round Pods? Did they change with the refurb? (Standard Room)

Yep, at the moment they are still the below. Some resorts have gone to the K-Cup machines, but not Poly. This is for a standard resort room; the DVC villas have a coffee pot.

I would hope so. There will be a lot of unhappy guests if there isn't any transportation until after the park opens.

Including pools? Well that kind of stinks. So they will put an even higher price if you look at a pool vs a palm tree?
So I'm guessing Hawaii CL garden will be More expensive?
And so will anything facing a pool? They going to do this everywhere? Cause that would pretty much suck "hey want a. Ire at all and don't want a palm tree in your face that's gonna cost you even more" if they do I hope it isn't they raise the price but mark the less desirable Lower then they are now.

They should then just call them Non View, so you know your getting the Worst view possible in the first place.
