Current Lava Pool hours are 10AM-11PM. These change seasonally and can definitely be as early as 9PM during certain parts of the year.

Current Oasis Pool hours are 7AM-11PM. I'm sure someone will come along to correct me on this but I feel these have been the hours for this pool consistently for awhile now.

We just checked out. On Friday the lava pool closed at 8pm! 8:00 on a Friday night, 4th of July week. Oasis was still open until 11. Went back Saturday night and it was back to 11...

Does anyone know how accurate the Times Guide is for the Epcot monorail start time? I've noticed that a lot of weeks (over the last few months), the Epcot monorail is scheduled to start running at 9am on Mondays. We're planning to RD Epcot on a Monday in September, so I'm wondering if we'll need to take the bus instead.

The weekly Times Guide is very accurate and is pretty much the best resource available. I trust it over any CM anyday! :-)

Yes, looks like Monday is the dreaded 9AM start on the Epcot line this week. Hard to know what that will look like in September though.

OK, so if you can't get to Epcot by monorail until 9am, what other options are there? Can you catch a bus or no?

They were checking all MB's in groups on July 4th at the volcano pool and issuing wristbands - they didn't do that at the Oasis pool though.

Thanks :)

Yes, Disney pools are heated. They are usually pretty nice even when it's a little chilly outside. Have fun!

:thumbsup2

Hope you had a great time :goodvibes. Strange that the pool closed so early in July, let alone during a holiday week!

Does anyone know where the standard rooms are located? I'm hoping that we won't be too far away from everything.

I wouldn't count on this but I also read in one of these threads if your in the oasis pool when it closes they don't throw you out. The gates just no longer opens from the outside.

When we were there last August - that happened to us. We were in the Oasis pool with a couple other families until after midnight - no one threw us out. We weren't sure what time it closed.

Anyone have a recent picture of the rooms with the runners on the beds removed? thanks! :)

If y'all had to get to Epcot for an 8:05 reservation in Norway with myself, the husband, Grammy (she's in excellent shape- young), a 6 year old, and a 1 year old in August- would you walk to the TCC and get on the Epcot monorail, or take an Uber or a cab? If you pick the monorail route, what time should we be at the TTC? Thanks!

I've always read there is "supposed" to be a bus from Poly to Epcot when the monorail is not running in the morning, but it's sort of like Big Foot... not really sure if it exists and I've never wanted to really risk it to find out! As @Cluelyss suggests, taxi/uber are the safe bets just in case.

If this were me, I'd take Uber or a cab - that's really the best way to 'control' the transportation variables that come into play getting from Poly to a PPO ADR. The problem is the 1 year old and you won't have a car seat, so that puts you in a tough spot. Uber has a car seat option, but in my experience there aren't that many of them around and it takes much longer to call one. YMMV in that regard.

Via monorail, what time to get there depends on what time it starts running. Using this week as an example, the Epcot line starts running at 7:30AM every day except Monday. If the Epcot line starts at 7:30AM, I'd want to be at the TTC to take that first monorail to Epcot of the day.

Just my opinion but hope that helps.

Thank you.... the one year old is totally the problem. We also have a super early breakfast at Trattoria al Forno and I have no clue how we're going to get there. I just feel scared at the prospect of not having her in a car seat. I mean, what if we get in a wreck? Crazier things have happened.

I have two kids that would need car seats if we were to take a cab or Uber, so that's out. Do they really not guarantee transportation to the parks that early?? We have an 8:05 breakfast at MK and now I'm nervous!

I would definitely not take a child in a car, taxi, Uber without a car seat. Not only illegal but just totally not worth it. Anything can happen! You can request a car seat with an Uber but would it be the right size for your baby?

She's 17 months old, and still meets the measurements for both an infant car seat and a convertible car seat. The only thing that wouldn't work is a booster. Some of the cabs at Disney have car seats- I may speak to the valet when we arrive. We may just have to skip the Trattoria breakfast if we can't find one that does.... I think we'll be at the TTC twenty minutes before the monorail starts running for the Epcot breakfast.

So after a lot of back and forth, we decided on our Touring Plans room request.

Niue - West facing, 2nd floor - and they gave a room number range.

Then I put in the comments that if this isn't available our second choice would be Fiji, East facing (Marina) any floor!

We shall see! :)

Great choice! We love Niue! That is our second favorite longhouse (after Hawaii). It is so central to everything and very small and quiet.

For your trattoria breakfast you could take a bus to Hollywood Studios and then walk to the Boardwalk. It's a little under a mile of a walk, but you would avoid the car seat hassle.
