Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Does anyone know how many 1BRs are at the Poly? I'd love to stay at the resort one day but a villa is a must, my kids are loud sleepers and we have to have separation from them to sleep ourselves. I (maybe for the first time ever) saw a 1BR show up here for a week in December, and I know the Poly is $$$ but LOL it was just ludicrous pricing, like $1500 a night.

Unfortunately, Polly Villas only consist of Studios (Lake View/Standard View are the booking options.) The only other category for DVC at Poly is a Bungalow, which has 2 bedrooms.

Anyone know if monorail station is set to be open when rest of resort opens?

Nope the Monorail station will open when it is ready.

It may be before rest of the resort opens or at the same time or at a later date if there are construction delays (non currently).

My date for the Monorail station to reopen is June 13 so make your guess.

anytime before June 26th is fine by me!

Does anyone know the length of the walk from Poly to GF? And maybe from GF to MK? There's no way to walk from Poly to CR, is there?

It’s about a 5 minute walk to GF. You can walk y to on the CR. You could take the path from the GF to MK and take the path from MK to CR. We have never done it but it would probably take about 1/2 hour - 45 minutes depending how fast you walk.

That's so stupid of me, of course you can walk to CR from Poly if you go by GF and MK! I was thinking about the "other" direction. Just wondering if I could run a loop from Poly to GF to MK to CR and then back to Poly. I guess there's probably no loop, but I can run to MK and back.

yeah you can run past the GF to the MK and then back past the Poly

FWIW, my running path one morning a few months ago is below. Note the crossover bridge over the Electrical Water Pageant storage canal opens at 6:30am - before then it's gated so you can only run up to that point. Every time I've run this so far has been an 8am opening, I haven't seen a report whether if the EWP canal gate opening shifts to 7:30am on a 9am MK opening or if 6:30am is an every day situation... so YMMV on that particular detail.

Love the further distance the new path offers!!!

Drip pots and Disney provides a couple of days of Joffery filter / coffee packets. No pods or K-cup units are available in DVC.

Oh wow, so it's only half a mile from the Poly to the MK! That's awesome. Thanks for the information!

No. It's a mile. I went from the MK to the Poly and it was a mile. You have to go via the GF.

First stay at the Poly. Have some questions and wanted some feedback from the experts.

Have Kona reserved for breakfast and dinner the same day. If you could only do one which would you chose? Does Kona do walk-ins?

What time is the Electrical floating pageant?

Requested Tokelau and Moorea through mde. I’d prefer a room with a balcony...would you still recommend faxing the resort? We’re staying in a standard dvc villa. From what I understand Tokelau has a balcony on the 2nd and 3rd floor while Moorea only has them on the 3rd.

Tonga toast and coconut meatballs are on my list...any other suggestions for must try food and drink? Big fan of specialty cocktails just not a huge pineapple fan.

How reliable is the boat from the pier for transportation to MK? What time does it start running?

How crowded does the Tambu lounge get after the parks let out?

Same question with the lava pool crowds. I understand it varies so just asking in general.

Does the Poly have a concierge?

Any other suggestions are welcome

I think your info might be outdated, all the dvc rooms at the Poly have either a patio or a balcony.
