I saw the 6 pack soda at the Polynesian last week too, it was $9.99..yikes! And I’ll be back for my first stay at the GF in 34 days!

Sorry to report the Beach Pool has been closed intermittently .

It is leaking and they haven’t been able to fix.

Also the kiddy water area hasn’t been running either .

Courtyard pool hence therefore is busy.

I saw a report on the DVC board a day or two ago of a sewage backup in Big Pine Key (not sure if it was just this poster’s room or a wider impact). But may be some plumbing issues in the area.

Anyone know if they are selling gingerbread yet in the lobby? We were excited to see the gingerbread house in the lobby for the first time on Sunday but it wasn’t open yet. We’re flying home tomorrow and trying to decide if we should make another trip over to the GF. Thanks!

The Grand Floridian gingerbread house will open for its 25th year on Wednesday, November 6. Tomorrow!!

Hopefully @trishadono can take some pictures for us, if she’ll still be there!

No not yet but I can report room service was nice after a long day!

I got the kids burger and dd got the squash soup and heirloom salad. Dh chicken fingers and fries but knew he’d steal some salad and mine came with green beans and fruit so he picked at that.

DD’s pregnancy lol. She is ALWAYS hungry So room service was so nice for her to rest and be served

Oh I asked in the lobby and they have the stickers there. You do not need to be a GF guest.

The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Now Open for 25th Anniversary at Disney World​

The Grand Floridian gingerbread house is now open for its 25th year at Walt Disney World. Located in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the gingerbread house is an annual tradition where the bakery team creates a giant confection that doubles as a market selling festive baked goods.



The house has been complete for a few days, but it’s now open and operating as a shop in the lobby.




The basic house stays the same from year to year with new decorations. This year, the porch and other areas are decorated with character-themed trees, including one designed to look like Figment wearing his holiday sweater.


A 25th anniversary cake is in the attic and the windows are topped with character murals.
