Thanks for all of your beautiful pics! I arrive Sunday 3/27 for a visit with my CM daughter and just did a last min change from BC to GF thanks to a discounted rate popping up. Your pics are getting me super excited to get back to the GF, my favorite hotel. Love your 50th loungefly and ears, and that drink looks yum! Happy birthday to your daughter!

Some dormer room pix and balcony for those that need info. The room is a little shorter but tall ceilings are nice .

Trade off of dormer balcony vs std.

Dormer is more private , it can be tricky to see while sitting but upper floors have better views mainly because you above many tree lines .

We are staying here in a few weeks - my first stay at GF since I was a kid! We're renting DVC, though, and now I'm worried about the construction on Big Pine Key. That is the DVC building, right? Does that mean the building we're staying in is under construction, and does anyone know if it's been noisy?

They are two separate buildings. The building circled in yellow is the up and coming DVC building (Currently known as Big Pine Key), which is currently under construction. The building circled in red is the actual DVC building and refurbishment has completed there. Hope that helps.

We haven’t heard any noise . I do see them rolling away mattresses etc but it’s a quick thing.

At the courtyard pool today you can see building bpk blocked but it was not an issue .

If you take this route vs monorail, is the wait for security longer? If you take monorail you don't have to do security at MK right? I can't remember atm.

My upcoming stay is the same projected weekend as the opening of Big Pine Key DVC expansion. Does anyone think the expansion will swamp the pools, Gaspy's and resort like is more the norm at the Poly? I would assume all the new studios will be fully booked for a long time in the future, and wondering how much the capacity of that building was ever used compared to what it will add now. Just thinking about the overall effect on the resort.

No worries about BPK DVC studios adding extra capacity to the resort. BPK was a very popular building for many hotel guests who wanted to be close to both pools and have lagoon views. The biggest impact is on hotel guest room inventory but it won't affect the resort amenities.

Good to hear! I love the poly, but it can be really hectic there at times!

Last night : ride share from Epcot to poly . You can get drinks from pool bar . There is a side for non poly guests . Got my spikey pineapple and watched EWP and part of Fireworks. Walked back to gf to dump shopping bags .
Well I am the queen of Genie+ !We ended up with Buzz 9:45-10:45, SM 10-11, btmrr 10:25-11 and pirates 10:30-11. Yep got in all 4 by closing !!

Then we could mono back and in bed pretty quick !! Love mono resort area!!!

Jist did a quick pool stop !
Miss SL so took a picture. Then Sago seating and view out lobby back side.

Yesterday was 3 parks , lots at rides and our record 31000 steps +!

Tonoght is DS to see her fav band the Maine . How they are at Disney birthday week? She is a happy girl!!(i would not know them if not for here lol)

I have Jungle Cruise for park closing . However I WILL stack more !!
