Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Planning a trip January 12-17 2025. Looking for rooms on official Disney site and zero are available at Coronado during that time. Would this be due to the runDisney marathon which, I believe, is during that time? Thank you, in advance, to anyone who is nice enough to reply! Coronado is my fave but maybe this is my opportunity to try something new!

Possibly. Also there could be a convention as well.

We will be checking into a standard room next week. We've only stayed in the tower. I want to confirm that the standard rooms all have Keurig machines since we plan on bringing k-cups.
Thanks

I've stayed in a regular room twice in the last couple of years and both rooms had a Keurig.

Hello everyone! I’ll be staying at CSR for the first time this November. Can anyone tell me if there will be a mini fridge in the standard room? TIA!

Yes, a mini fridge.. It operates more like a really good beverage cooler, but is adequate for more common items. We've kept milk, OJ, butter and soda without any problems. No freezer section, but a decent size. Have a great trip!!

Thank you, that’s great news. I’m hoping to just keep some water bottles and creamer for my coffee so that will be perfect

Just returned from week girls trip, short thoughts. Req. Casitas but they put Cabanas but since we went to check in cause early, she got me in Casitas. Wanted since for parks is Stop 1 & one lady needs a seat. Cabanas was probably closer, of course, but I didn’t know how busy it was going to be and I didn’t want buses flying by us. This turned out not to be an issue because it wasn’t that busy there last week. Internal bussing worked great for her however to El Centro. The rest of us did not think the walk across the bridges was long though.
Even tho housekeeping not everyday, called for towels, TP, coffeepods, something everyday- superfast delivery. Safe battery went and guy was up immediately to fix.
Coffee at Barcelona Lounge opened at 630, but for mug people, they often had side pots open by 620. This was great for me, as im not a room making coffee-er.
Loved the X on the 3 bridges in the AM. I think its supposed to mean crossroaods, but i romanticized it was for the treasure for Spanish Explorers, lol. Nice touch. Had drinks there, were fine, have been before for Sangria U, but this time thought chips and guac too pricey for what you get and charged to refill.
Ate QS multiple times. Food was good and plentiful. All loved the hot pasta dishes, esp. the Meatballs and Spaghetti. Grand Fiesta breakfast was a standard disney bounty plate, so that was good. Bacon cheeseburger we all loved, rice bean bowls were liked, but tacos the meat we didnt like. Southwest hrilled chicken type sandwich at pool bar was standard but good. Ill attach a few photos.IMG_7723.jpegIMG_7684.jpegIMG_7833.jpegIMG_7784.jpegIMG_7714.jpeg

Hi all! Another question about the resort. I have 2 rooms, 1 for myself, dh and my 2 dses. The other for my dd and her boyfriend. When I went to make a payment on their room via phone they made a note about traveling together and said that they would give us rooms next to eachother. I didn’t notice at the time but I have a water view booked and they have a standard room. I’m just wondering if those room types would have 2 together or not? I don’t need to be next to them, and if we paid more for the water view I don’t want to be put in a standard room.

I am at the resort now and am checking in. I didn’t know the answer but this is from last year.

Arrived Saturday around 10:20pm. Put my things in the room and headed to El Central.

What is nice about CSR is that more things are open later than other resorts.

We are in GDT this trip std view and it’s std, parking lot and trees with bus stop below.

That’s ok for this trip we have been busy with a short stay,

Transportation has been great. The tower has had many of its own busses and I haven’t waited more than 15 minutes to go anywhere.

A reminder for those new to the resort, a perk is how close CSR is to all the parks! We have stayed at all of them (except ssr) and when I come back here it’s the thing I remember right away, From bus stop to park is just quick!

The new CSR merch is nice in person too!

Yes, yes, and yes! I can never get over how vloggers, bloggers, and other commenters constantly harp on the resort only having buses and that being a huge negative. I will take those buses over the Monorail, boats, and buses at other resorts any day hands down because they have always been very efficient in our experience. We are also night owls and Coronado easily has the best nightlife we've found. Sitting on the rooftop deck at Dahlia Lounge and closing the place down is one of our favorite things to do there along with grabbing some drinks, a rocker by the lake, and watching the world go by. You truly feel like you are in a small village there and I don't get that feeling from other resorts, at least not that I've found yet.

This post definitely has me excited for our stay in a few weeks. We are night owls so it’s nice to know there are places we can go after the parks close.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the QS. Is it all prepared in advance? I have read some negative comments regarding that, but I’d like to think if it is it is just that they are preparing based on expected sales as time goes on. Not like just sitting there for hours.
