I heard they were taking all of those down due to gators and such. Did they put up whatever kind of barrier so they can have them again?

The hammocks were down since the incident. They returned last week. A fence was put up. It looks nice and actually looks like its been there.

I've seen gators in Lago Dorado and in the pond behind the cabanas. I'm curious to see if they put a fence around the cabana pond. I've saw a gator out of water there. The same location I saw turtles burying eggs the day before.

The hammocks are back up too!

I was hoping they would put these back up...yay!

Pool hours are 9-11 today. Interesting tidbit, there's a sign as you go into the main pool that says, Pool is only for hotel guest, magic bands will be scanned today. Haven't seen anyone scan bands yet but I've never seen that sign before

I honestly wish they would scan bands at all the main pools especially at the deluxes - that would save a lot of headaches trying to find lounge chairs when you're actually a resort guest!

We checked out today and I loved our room. We had a great view of the star wars fireworks from our window. As with our other stays the staff was top notch. My DS3 spiked a 103 fever and threw up everywhere our first night. They were at our room in a flash, changed everything and called to get some Gatorade sent to our room. A manager showed up with a bag of powerade, ginger ale and a goofy and a Donald for my kids. I was just floored, that's just going above and beyond. Thank goodness it was just a tummy bug and he was fine the rest of the trip. The BC lounge also heard he was sick and wrapped up about 8 giant cookies for when he felt better.

When the bellman came this morning I mentioned we had just booked a bounce back for next year. He told me that he saw the test room for the remodel and it's awesome. He said they're doing away with the armoire, chair and desk and doing 1 long piece of furniture. Lots of USB ports, a 50 inch flat screen. Also no carpets, instead they'll have tile/linoleum-hardwood floors, the fridge will be glass front, he said like a wine fridge. All new foam? matress, he said no more box springs. Also the bathroom is completely different, a closet, double vanity, and he said some will have a giant walk in shower and some will have a shower bath combo (got a little confused at that point) Anyways, they sounded really awesome.

So glad your son was okay! CSR CMs are the best!

You booked a bounceback? Was it the Free Dining (which was what was offered when we were there last month) or a room discount? We'll be back in late October and I would love to get the 2017 planning underway! ;)

Yes, the FD bounce back! Just too good of an offer to pass up.

Nicole - the new room setup sounds fantastic and I'm so glad your son got better quickly. It's always great to hear about staff going above and beyond. That was really sweet of them to take care of your kids that way. We had a great stay recently too. The view of the fireworks at Hollywood Studios is wonderful. We watched them from up front a couple of nights. It was our first time at CSR and we would definitely go back.

Can either of you tell me from where you were able to see the Star Wars fireworks? I'm hoping to catch a glimpse on our arrival night. Since we are doing a very quick trip we won't have a chance to see them in the park.

At the front entrance to CSR's main building. Stand off to the side of the bus drop off loop/ near the back door to Panchito's.

ONLINE CHECK-IN:
We will arrive at CSR on Sat. Sept. 10th and went back to check on my online check-in info to make sure everything is correct.
It seems like they have changed the Room location request to very limited choices.
I had originally choose Close to Main building (forgot what it was called), and I was hoping for Casitas (even though we don't have preferred location) we like the look of the buildings.
I now have "upper floor" (had that originally) and "near Transportation" (new choice). It is very limited.

We were in Cabanas 8B, 2nd floor, corner room, and could see them from our window.

That's a really great view! Thanks! I'm not sure we can make it in time, but I might try to push out a little earlier if possible!

Pretty much. They are shot off from across the street from CSR. They had to move them with the construction at DHS

Quick question and I'm almost pretty sure that it's a yes.... But does the rooms still have hair dryers???
