A December Trip, MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, plus I FINALLY saw the Lion!

Day 7-Animal Kingdom
Last full Day


Today we were going to Animal Kingdom. I had purchased the LL for today and the 3 LL's we had were the Safari, Zootopia (I only got this because it is new and wasn't sure how the crowds would be for it) and Navi River Journey.

Early in the morning I got up to use the bathroom and when I got back in bed I was looking at the App and I saw there was an ILL for Flight of Passage for 4:30 pm. I think they were $13/each. I originally wasn't going to chance spending the money on that one because I was afraid of us not fitting on the ride because we are bigger people. Especially Tim mostly because of his calves, he once had someone that was measuring him for something (compression socks, I think) joke with him one time that his calves are "as big as Kansas", LOL but our BIL was there recently and we spoke to him at some point during the trip and talking to him reminded me that he was able to ride it and he is a bigger guy too so I did buy them.

I went back to bed and woke up for good a couple hours later. I did the mobile order for breakfast and then we headed out.

We got our usual table and I told the app we were there and went to get our drinks. My phone went off while I was getting drinks. I loved that mobile order it was usually really fast. The one thing I wasn't a fan of at the food court is that the mobile order always came in a bag in to go boxes, not on a tray/plate like it did at the parks. After a few days I did notice there were plates at the mobile order window so I got them a few times (Really awkward to eat waffles from a box,) LOL.

Tim got his usual but I always got something different. Although if I had ordered this earlier in the week I might have gotten it every day:

The Loaded Totcho Bowl
Potato Barrels topped with Scrambled Eggs, Cheddar, Sausage Gravy, and Bacon
-it was also loaded with green onions, which I hate so I took the time to pick them off. One thing about the mobile order is there is rarely a choice to customize or leave things off. Although the green onions aren't listed so that wouldn't have helped me here.

We headed to the bus and to the park. I don't have travel times for this day but the first pic I took when we got off the bus was at 11:18 am

The Safari was our first LL I think the times were 11 till 12 or something like that. We headed right there, I took a few pics on the way, including a couple Photopass ones.

We got to the Safari shortly after that and went in the LL. It was pretty much walk on for the LL. We were also seated in the first row of the truck. They put 2 people in line after us but they didn't get on, I think they were supposed to but they didn't. It was nice to have the row to ourselves and I feel that I got some really good pics from being in the front and on the left side. I am usually either in the middle of the row or on the right and I usually don't get many good pics.

When I left off we were on the Safari

The Rhinos were next, there were some crossing the road and we had to stop to let them go by. It was really cool to see them so close. I took a video, I haven't figured out how to post from Photobucket but I uploaded to YouTube so we'll see how this works.

Next we were coming up to the Lions. I didn't have much hope to see them since I have never had that luck but today would be my lucky Day. First I saw the couple females lying down on the rocks and I was so happy as I have never really even seen them even lying down, maybe once over the years.

I had bought the Multi pass for each day but I have stayed away and paying for the Individual LL until this day for FOP. At Disneyland a few years ago I paid for them for Radiator Springs Racers and the Spiderman ride.

The front row is the best! I like to ask the driver questions about the animals.

I thought they were pretty great. It does look like he is posing. It was awesome how close he was too.

Here is a short video. You can hear there is a cast member talking some. Pointing out Lily's mom. I think one of the above pics is Lily but not sure which one.

They were starting the feeding, if you notice they were all going off to the left.

I wanted to see the Hippos in their underwater viewing place but when we went there they must have been feeding the hippos too because they weren't there. I don't remember when we tried to see the Otters, it might have been around this area too but they weren't in their area either.

After this it was getting close to our time for the new Zootopia show so we headed over there. We did have a bathroom break around this time too. The Show was cute, I liked it. Maybe not as good as it's tough to be a bug but cute. Haven't seen Zootopia 2 yet but I will at some point.

Looks like a lovey day on the trail! The gorillas are always full of silly shenanigans! The hippos are tough to see when they are under the water. I lucked out last trip, but that was maybe only one of a zillion visits there.

We always take the gorilla trail. They are very interesting to watch. And it's nice to see them moving around their large viewing areas.

I'll have to look for those carvings of a ram and a sheep. We are planning to see the new Zootopia film when we are there next week.

So today I will continue our day at AK. When I left off we were headed to Pandora. We had a LL for Navi River for I think 1:30 to 2:30 so we headed there. We took some PP pics when we first got over there.

It was so cool in there. I admit I haven't seen the movies so I really don't know much about all the details but I loved it there just for all the scenery and effects. I took a ton of pics in that area of the park. After we got off the ride we were hungry so we did a mobile order at Satu'li Canteen.

Tim had the cheeseburger pods and I had one of the bowls. I had the wood grilled chicken with the noodles and the creamy herb sauce. Then I got a dessert for us to share. I wanted the Blueberry cream cheese mousse but Tim is not a fan of Blueberries so I got the other dessert the Mangkwan Mousse-- Cinnamon-Milk Chocolate Mousse, Caramelized Banana Cake, Banana- Sesame Caramel, Chocolate-Sesame Crumble. Then we each had a Soda.

This meal was really good. Tim had some of mine and really liked it too. He liked his cheeseburger pods too. I don't eat burgers so I didn't try them.

I have been having some issues with my eye the last week and a half (Uveitis, it's horrible, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Migraine level headaches, horrible light sensitivity, I'm finally coming around the corner so I hope it is over soon) and it is starting to bother me so I'll post this now and finish up another day.
