Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Work has been so stressful lately, ONLY 65 DAYS UNTIL I'M HERE TO DESTRESS AND ENJOY LIFE! This is my first moderate resort stay and, I've been wondering, is the food court open all night? I'm used to values, so, I've got to mentally prepare myself for it to be a different experience. Also, I'm super confused as to how the bus system works. Does each bus stop at all the bus stops? Or does only certain ones stop at certain stops?

If memory serves me correctly Pepper Market is open until 11pm and Cafe Rix is open until midnight.

The buses stop at all the stops.

Can either of you tell me from where you were able to see the Star Wars fireworks? I'm hoping to catch a glimpse on our arrival night. Since we are doing a very quick trip we won't have a chance to see them in the park.

We were in 9b, room 9540. You could see them prerty good from the window but perfectly from outside the door. You can see them well from the cabanas section but the rooftops cut off some of the lower ones.

Have fun! We just think the CMs are the best and we've stayed everywhere but FW and POP. The resort has 4 bus stops, one at each section (casitas, cabanas, ranchos) and one at El Centro. The buses go in a circle stopping at each stop. Starting at 2, 3, 4 then 1. Except for DS bus which is 1, 2, 3, 4 for whatever reason!

  • The theme park buses stop at stops 2 (Casitas), 3 (Ranchos), 4 (Cabanas), and 1 (El Centro), in that order.
  • The Disney Springs buses stop at stops 1 (El Centro), 2 (Casitas), 3 (Ranchos), and 4 (Cabanas), in that order.
  • It's set up this way to provide round-trip bus service to El Centro, where the front desk and main dining are located, from Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas, the three main "neighborhoods." If you don't feel like walking, you just take any theme park bus to El Centro, and then a Disney Springs bus back to your room.

I read recently there will be room renovations at CSR soon. Does anyone know when they are expected to start/finish? We were thinking about booking a BB there for December 2017

Work is starting soon. Permits have been pulled and I think certain parts of the parking lot were blocked off for materials (although this could have been due to the fencing work around the pool). Expected rehab is estimated to be around 18-24 months. They take a building out of rotation and (hopefully) half the resort will be done by the time you go.

Hmm...so when it comes time for a request could we request a renovated room as our only request and have a shot at getting a renovated room?

Depends on when you are going. And you and everyone else will be requesting the same thing

I figured that, I know plans always change with Disney refurbed any way. I was supposed to stay at POFQ this year and switched to CBR due to the food court refurb. We wanted to stay at WL next year but decided on CSR due to WL having an extensive refurb.
