HAHAHA LOL!!!! Yes well I never about how that came out!! No...I was my first husband's caretaker for 16 years of our 22 years of marriage before he died. Because I had to lift him so much( As he was a tall and big guy) I damaged my back. So when I go on trips, I have to be careful because of all the arthritis and opportunity of my disks slipping out of place. If the the mattress is too firm, is is almost a given that it will happen. So...to be on the safe side, I will bring some extra special pillows that help me. Thank you again for making me laugh! Have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day!

I have to agree too that they are "just right". My husband likes a firm mattress and I do well with a soft mattress (we have the Sleep Number because of this). We've stayed at CSR several times and neither of us have had issues like aches, pains or anything.

My daughter and her boyfriend will be staying at Coronado Springs next week. She needs to eat gluten and dairy free. Does anyone know what the options are at the Pepper Market? I know Disney has been great in the past couple of years with food allergies, but it's so much easier to know ahead of time what is available. Thanks!!

Hi all, We will be at CSR from 7/16-7/23. Which means it will be HOT! So we have planned one afternoon to go to the pool and lounge around. My kids are DD14 and DS16. I looked at the pictures of the dig site pool and it looks like there is a ball court nearby? Is that basketball? If so, do people play or are there balls around to use? My kids are basketball fanatics and might enjoy shooting around or a pick up game (especially if they can jump in the pool afterwards!). Are there other entertainment options from noon-5pm for teenagers? Also, from looking at the pictures, it appears as if no pool toys are allowed, such as noodles or floats. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!!

I don't remember seeing any basketball court. I have teenagers and they hang in the pool or hot tub, play volleyball and there is a ping pong table, and make smores. The game room is not great since lacking many games but it is something to do. They have an employee set up in the pool area that does different games and once in awhile my kids will participate if it is trivia or something like that.

Hi everyone! We are returning to CSR in November. It is our "Home" resort. My DS17 will be a Sr in high school and I am planning to have a photo session for Sr portraits at the resort. What areas would you recommend? We will have a hour session. TIA

There are some beautiful areas around the lake. I always come in November and I take pictures on the bridge which goes to the cabanas. There is this beautiful purple flowering bush that overhangs the bridge and pictures come out great. Also over along the lake in the casitas area there is another gorgeous flowering tree.

Question for you CSR experts. I booked a standard room but somehow now my MDE account shows a preferred room-king, so it looks like we will be in the Casitas. Can anyone tell me which direction the buses usually run? Curious if we will be the first or last stop. Also, what's your favorite building in the Casitas? These have both probably been answered in this thread but it's too much to read the whole thing!

No need to read the whole thread as the majority of the information is on page #1. This is from post #3 on page #1.

Like all properties within the Walt Disney World Resort, Coronado Springs is serviced by WDW Transportation. The only transportation option available at this location is the bus. However, Coronado is one of the few resorts on property that does not share buses with any other resort. There are 4 stops around the resort:

Bus stop 1: El Centro
Bus stop 2: Cabanas
Bus stop 3: Ranchos
Bus stop 4: Casitas

However, the buses DO NOT visit the stops in that order. When the THEME PARK (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) buses enter the resort they proceed to Bus stop 4, then 3, then 2, and lastly 1. When the DOWNTOWN DISNEY/TYPHOON LAGOON or BLIZZARD BEACH buses enter the resort they proceed to Bus stop 1, then 2, then 3, then 4. The thought process behind this transportation strategy is that you can hop on a THEME park bus to go to El Centro and then hop on a DOWNTOWN DISNEY bus and return to your room.

From where we were at the end of Casitas 3 that is closest to El Centro, the Casitas stop and the El Centro stop seemed to be about the same distance, so we used each of those stops at different times depending on if we were going to or coming from the parks.

Sorry dansdad, but that info is horribly wrong. The bus stops are listed backwards. El Centro is #1, but Casitas is #2, Ranchos is #3, and Cabanas is #4. And the first stop picked up is #2, Casitas. The bus goes clockwise around the resort, as they do at all moderate resorts.

Is Cabana 8A hard to come by as far as a standard view request goes? (standard view was our only option when we booked.)

according to touring plans room finder, there are a number of standard rooms in 8A on both the ground and upper floors. You may be facing thew parking lot, but there are a few that look into the center of the resort grounds. If you want to be close to the dig site, 8A is great, but you should know it's far from the lobby. It is, however, close to the Cabanas bus stop.

Just thinking about next year and putting some test bookings through on the Disney site... Coronado hardly seems to have any double queen rooms left for next sep/oct... anyone know why this is?

All it keeps offering me is king rooms based on sat/sun arrival in the last 2 weeks of sept 2017 for 13-17 night stays. I think I found one combo that worked but it was for a shorter booking.

Cabanas is close to the main pool. Lots of people, especially ones with children want to be close to it. We will be requesting Casitas 4, we love that location.

Can I ask what you love about Casitas 4? We have teenagers, so don't need to be right next to the pool. My thought was that Casitas might be a little bit quieter, while still not being too, too far from everything. (Don't want to be way out in Ranchos).

There are 9 different buildings with standard rooms. So your chances are about 11%.
