I just moved from CBR to CSR and am curious about elevators - is this going to be an issue? At CBR there are none, so I had requested a ground level room when we stayed there last time. Just the thought of lugging suitcases up stairs, or climbing them at the end of a long day walking around ... no thanks! :) Are there buildings that don't have elevators in CSR?

I plan on skimming through the thread when I can, but any quick tips would be appreciated!

At WDW if a building at a resort only has 2 floors, there is no elevator. So all of CBR, all of the Alligator Bayou section of POR and I think Casitas 2 at CSR have no elevators.

All rooms at CSR are accessible by elevator. The 4th floor of Casitas 2 requires taking the Casitas 3 elevator and walking over, but we are talking a handful of rooms on one floor. All other buildings have convenient elevators.

Great to know, thank you!

Man, I really miss CSR! We are taking a last-minute trip next month to see the Osborne lights one last time. We are trying to keep it as budget friendly as possible, so we are staying in All Star Movies for the first time. I'm nervous about it, haha. But, hey, we're going to Disney! :cool1:

I've stayed at the All Stars several times and they are perfect if you don't want to spend a great deal of time at your hotel (I don't mean that in a bad way). The food courts are basic but adequate and while there isn't an amazing range of amenities the rooms are clean and comfortable and the pools are fine. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay :-)

We have stayed at moderates our last several trips but this past November my DS(14) and I stayed a night at All Star Music for a quick post conference visit. It was just fine for the two of us - nothing fancy - but nothing bad. Yes, we'll be going back to a moderate this Christmas but we still had a very enjoyable trip and I'm sure you will too!

Exactly! We know it's nothing fancy, but it works for us on this quick trip! It helps us save some money, which is a plus this time around :) Only 26 days away, can't wait!

I see upthread that someone asked about the rollaways and apparently they are not offered any more. We have a business class standard view room booked, and if we brought an air mattress, is there room for it on the floor? Some of the pictures look like there might not be enough room. Thanks for any input!

(I've been trying to read through all the pages but didn't see anything, so sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere.)

We have not stayed at CSR, but we have stayed at all 3 of the All Star Resorts which are smaller than the rooms at CSR and had no problem fitting an air mattress. In most WDW rooms, they will fit between the one bed and the window.

All
buildings at CSR have elevators, even those with 2 floors. The only tricky spot is casita 2, 4th floor. The 4th floor only has access by elevator from casita 3 or the stairs from the third floor. The elevator for casita 1 and 2 is in between casita 1 & 2 facing the parking lot and there is another elevator for building 1 by the convention center.

Roll-a-ways are offered at CSR but only at check in.

That's odd. My boss was there the first week of September and was told at Check In that they are no longer available. He then asked the CM at the Concierge Desk and called Housekeeping and was told the same thing. :confused3

Also, alarm clocks have been removed from CSR rooms and are available at request.

I guess it depends who you ask.

That is true of WDW in general. IMO management does a very poor job of making sure every CM knows and relays the correct answer to anything. As 10 CMs the same question and you will probably get around 8 or 9 different answers.
