All buildings at CSR have elevators, even those with 2 floors. The only tricky spot is casita 2, 4th floor. The 4th floor only has access by elevator from casita 3 or the stairs from the third floor. The elevator for casita 1 and 2 is in between casita 1 & 2 facing the parking lot and there is another elevator for building 1 by the convention center.

Thank you! I believe 1-3 are preferred anyway, and I booked standard, so this won't be an issue for us. I mean, in reality, climbing up a flight of stairs won't be all that big of an issue anyway, just a preference.

I guess it depends who you ask.

Or maybe that particular day there weren't any available?

I have a friend that works there and they still offer roll-a-ways. He was given wrong information or misunderstood the CM. They are first come, first serve.

Bummer. It really does matter who you ask then.

Is there currently construction going on? Just curious as we are set to arrive in 58 days and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

As far as I know the Refurb on the Fitness Center and Salon/Spa is finished and the rest of the resort refurb has been put on hold until after the holidays.

Here now in Casitas 5...beautiful resort though it is really big! Our room is in the section of building with 4 floors and we are on second floor King bed room over looking the water. We checked in last Friday and tried to move closer to the lobby but resort was full. They said to check back in a couple of days but we decided to stay put and not bother. Had a few issues with housekeeping but all good after calling. Everyone is very nice and we love the lobby greeter John! We have a dinner set for Maya Grill tonight.

We liked the option of breakfast at the Main pool area and used that several times. As always, I am sad to be leaving WDW tomorrow! Parks are busy and seem busier than our last October trip two years ago. Fabulous weather!!

For everyone that has ever booked a standard room at CSR - where did they put you? I am assuming that I will be put in the Ranchos but I just thught that I would ask. When you get ready to do online check in, do you get any other options like the cabanas or the casitas? It will be 3 rooms reservations linked together.

There are standard rooms in Casitas 4-5, Cabanas 8a, 8b, 9a, as well as the Ranchos areas.

We've been put in Casitas 4 twice and really like the location. A bit of a stroll to the main building, but close to bus and the Casita's pool.

Two years ago we were put in Cabana 8A and loved the location. We are going back next month and requested the same building

We got cabanas 8b, and booked a standard room. Although I am pretty sure we got upgraded to water view because this was our view from our door

We had a request on our reservation to be placed in Cabanas or Casitas if at all possible. When we got there we found out we were in Ranchos. We of course inquired if there was somewhere a little closer, but they did not have anything. They told us we could check back later. We actually ended up really liking our location in Ranchos so we never checked back to see if we could move. It was very quiet, really liked being so close to the second bus stop, and it wasn't as far to the main building as everyone had said. I can't remember what the options were when doing online check-in, but you could always call to add a little more detailed requests.

We were in Ranchos (but we also arrived late).

This time we are requesting Cabanas.

I was planning on requesting the cabanas bec my daughter loves the beachy areas, but it's glad to hear that the Rancheros section was enjoyable

We are flying into MCO and have a rental to get to CS. I have some dry breakfast & snack foods packed in our checked luggage, but we want to make a quick stop on our way to resort for water, beer, maybe some string cheese and fresh fruit to have in room for snacks for girls. Any place on our way without a major detour? We've never flown before. Thanks for any advice from experience:)

We were in Casistas 5. Our TA sent a request for the area that we wanted. Not sure how she did it. We did not do on line check in.

Just returned yesterday. We had a standard room and they put us in Cabanas 9A corner room. They initially had us in a first floor room, which is a big NO for us, and they switched us to second floor. Our room faced the parking lot, but it was still really quiet, and since there is no balcony, the view didn't matter to us at all. Fabulous location. We haven't stayed in a moderate resort in a LONG time, as we usually are in DVC or deluxe. I was hesitant before we booked it, but we had talked about this resort for awhile, and I got a killer rate on it. We were surprised how much we liked it!! Not crazy about the room itself, as we like to have at least a little seating area, so you aren't stuck just sitting on the bed if you were in the room watching tv. But I loved the resort feel to CSR. The deluxe resorts seem more just like hotels, but CSR felt great to us, having lots of places to walk, paths, places to sit, things to watch. It was so relaxing! I liked having so many dinner/food options at the resort itself. Mousekeeping wasn't all that great for us, but that can be hit or miss anyway. We had a car, and drove to most parks except MK. Buses to MK seemed a little slow, but it wasn't horrible. John the lobby guy was great!!!! He gives great restaurant recommendations!! The resort was quiet, we hardly heard anything and the walk from our location to El Centro was less than 5 minutes....a nice walk. If we were to book a moderate again, I would stay here in a heartbeat!!!

It's almost time for my first stay at CSR! I'm super excited, but for those of you who fax in room requests any last tips y'all could give? We have a standard king room booked and would like to be close to a bus stop, which area would you say would be great? Casistas 5 maybe?
